    MSC World Cruise 2023

    My recent world cruise experience with the company was pretty good overall, with lots of good stuff and a few things that could be better. I really liked how there were loads of places to grab a quiet drink, it was better than other cruises I've been on. The dining was also great, with lots of different menus to choose from, especially in the fancy restaurant where the food was top-notch compared to the buffet. I also enjoyed the variety of shows, each one with different artists. The crew was really helpful and sorted out most problems quickly, which was impressive. The mix of different cultures onboard was interesting, although some passengers weren't happy about having to deal with so many languages.

    Splendida cruise experience

    The crew on the cruise ship were absolutely brilliant, providing top-notch customer service. A big shoutout to Runmiwon, Bhimanand, Wisnu, Minal, Deva, Paule, Adarsh, and Diana for going the extra mile to make sure everyone had a great time. Their amazing service has inspired me to book a cruise for my parents next year. Although I must say, the coffee on board wasn't great and getting off the ship in Egypt without a transfer to Cairo was a bit tricky. Despite that, the overall experience was fantastic and I want to express my gratitude to the staff for their hard work and dedication. And a special mention to the Yoga instructor (possibly Zara) for her fantastic class!

    Brilliant first cruise experience

    I recently went on my first ever cruise and I have to say, it was absolutely amazing! The ship was stunning, the activities were great fun, the excursions were a blast, the food was incredibly tasty, the vibe was lively, and the entertainment was top-notch.

    My cabin was really roomy and comfortable, giving me the perfect spot to unwind after a long day of exploring. The crew on board were super helpful and always had a smile on their faces, which really made the whole experience even better.

    All in all, I had an incredible time and I'm already looking forward to booking another cruise in the near future.

    Cruising experience

    Despite the beautiful ship, I have to say we had some serious issues with the staff during our cruise. The waiting times at the pool bar were way too long because there were only 1 or 2 staff members looking after the outdoor pool area. Surprisingly, the indoor pool area had more staff even though it was empty most of the time. The service at the pool bar was really slow, and it felt like the staff were picking who to serve based on who they liked rather than who had been waiting the longest.

    One time, my wife asked the bartender to serve her two drinks at once to save time, but he refused. This led to us making a formal complaint to guest relations. Also, our son kept asking for a specific cocktail, but he was told it wasn't available at every bar he went to.

    Overall, we were quite disappointed with the standards and service on board, especially when comparing it to the great time we had on a previous cruise with a different company.

    Loyalty program and address change issues

    I've been a loyal member of this cruise line for years and have been on multiple trips with them. But, recently, I've been having problems with their system when I try to update my address and check my points. It's really annoying to see that they don't seem to appreciate loyalty and don't offer proper help when it's needed. My husband is having the same problems, which shows that this isn't just a one-off thing. This lack of help and support has made me feel let down and has me thinking about looking at other options in the future.

    The cruise ship experience was absolutely amazing! Everything from getting on board in Miami to all the fun activities was well-organized and clean. The food choices were top-notch, even with so many people on the ship. The staff were really friendly and quick to help with anything that came up. I can't wait to go back on this cruise line again!

    Speciality restaurant package experience

    The show at the Carousel on Arkymea was really enjoyable, with fantastic costumes, music, and circus acts. But, I have to admit, I was a bit puzzled by the storyline. It would be great if the Carousel lounge could offer more entertainment, like a live band, as that was missing on the cruise. Dario in Masters of the Sea was entertaining, but I personally prefer live music rather than pre-recorded performances. It felt like there were too many cabins on the ship, which made the experience less fun. The Junior Ocean View cabin on deck 8 was smaller than I expected, with not much space between the bed, wardrobe, and walls. It was a pain not having a mirror close to the hairdryer, which made grooming a bit difficult. The weather wasn't great, so we couldn't sunbathe, but the upside was that there were no arguments over sunbeds. Self-disembarking in Southampton was a bit confusing as there weren't clear timings given, leading to a rushed departure. All in all, the ship being overcrowded and the design issues with the cabin impacted my overall cruising experience.

    World cruise experience

    I've just finished my first world cruise with the cruise line and honestly, it was a disaster! They changed the itinerary last minute, so we ended up spending more time at sea and missing out on the destinations we were looking forward to. Loads of excursions got cancelled for no good reason, and we couldn't even get our money back for the ones we had to cancel ourselves. The customer service was terrible and the whole experience was just not what we expected. The food wasn't great either, they kept running out of basics. The entertainment was only okay, and there was never enough seating for the deck shows, which caused arguments between passengers. The only good thing about the whole trip was the bar staff, they were professional and friendly throughout all the chaos.

    First cruise experience

    I absolutely loathed my first cruise, you know? The ship was an absolute shambles. Queues galore, staff that moved at a snail's pace, food that was just terrible, and don't even get me started on how packed the ship was and how pricey the drinks were. The ports we visited were also a bit of a letdown. I reckon I'd much rather stash away my cash and choose a different holiday option next time.

    Cruise ship experience

    The cruise ship was absolutely amazing! It was really cool and had loads of activities so you never get bored. But honestly, the food was pretty disappointing. We went to this restaurant called "The Leaf" and they served us these strange balls of who-knows-what - seriously, what even are they? Plus, the waiters seemed really exhausted, like they didn't want to be there. Sadly, a lot of people, myself included, ended up getting sick halfway through the cruise. Such a shame.

    MSC Poesia world cruise

    I'm currently on a world cruise with MSC, and I have to say, the customer service has been absolutely terrible. I tried reaching out to the UK Managing Director before boarding because there were lots of changes to the itinerary, but they completely ignored my messages. And it didn't get any better - even when I complained to the customer service manager on the ship, they just brushed it off. The replacement ports were disappointing, the food wasn't great, and the entertainment was pretty boring. Nearly half of the passengers on board have even signed a petition to show how unhappy they are with the cruise. The staff, even the Captain, have been making threats to passengers to try and stop the complaints. The only good thing about this trip has been the hospitality staff, who have been really amazing. But that's been overshadowed by how badly MSC has handled their customer service. I've decided to end my cruise early and switch to a Princess ship for my journey back home. This will definitely be my first and last time sailing with MSC.

    Unpleasant experience on cruise ship

    I wanted to share my recent experience on a cruise ship that left me feeling really disappointed. Basically, the company put me in a cabin on the 14th deck, right under the buffet area. This meant there was constant noise from chairs being moved around all night, making it impossible to get any decent sleep. If you're after a chilled holiday, I'd recommend steering clear of this company.

    Cruise booking experience

    I recently booked a cruise and I have to say, the call centre in South Africa was terribly rude. The staff there seemed misinformed about everything, and on top of that, the price dropped just five days after booking. Can you believe it? To make things even worse, they didn't even offer me an upgrade! I'm seriously starting to regret ever considering this cruise line.

    Yacht Club Plus

    I think MSC should consider adding a new category called Yacht Club Plus for passengers who paid full price without any upgrades. I was really looking forward to my upcoming trip across the Atlantic, but it was cancelled last minute for "operational reasons" after I splashed out on expensive flights. Is it worth thinking about sailing with MSC again?

    Crowded, disorganized, chaotic

    Our experience on that cruise was an absolute disaster. As soon as we got on board, we knew it wasn't going to be a chilled-out holiday. Waiting ages for our bags, busy buffets, and mad safety drills made us wonder why we went on this cruise. The lack of order and always feeling like we were being rushed around like cattle left us really annoyed and let down.
