Car rental, delayed flight, inconvenience
I had a really bad experience with a car rental company recently after my flight to Gatwick airport got delayed. They were supposed to have a desk at the terminal, but they didn't, which caused a lot of hassle for me because I had given them my flight details beforehand. I tried calling and emailing them, but no one got back to me, so I was stuck without a way to get the vehicle. This ended up costing me extra money and made me really stressed out, so I had to quickly sort out alternative travel plans. I'm really let down by the way this rental company handled the situation, their communication and customer service was seriously lacking.
Delayed flight arrival to Oslo
I flew to Oslo recently and unfortunately, my flight was delayed. When I arrived, the Europcar desk was closed. There were no instructions on how to access the Europcar lockbox, so I had to pay for another hire car to carry on with my holiday, which was tough with three kids. EasyCar's response to my complaint was short and not very understanding. They used unreasonable excuses to refuse a refund. I was really let down by EasyCar's lack of help in this situation. I won't be using their services again.
Flight details mix-up
I was really let down by the service from this car rental company. We made a booking and gave them our flight details, assuming they'd use that to figure out our pickup time. But when we turned up two hours late, they'd already given our car away. They tried to blame Easy Car, saying they only get paid when we actually take the car. But when we contacted Easy Car for a refund, they refused, accusing us of being late. The whole lack of understanding and honesty was shocking. The staff were no help at all and didn't seem to care about our problem. I'd say steer clear of them at all costs!
Car booking via airline website
When I tried booking a car through the airline website, I was pretty disappointed because they didn't give me all the information about the actual car rental company. Even though picking up and dropping off the car was okay, things went downhill after I returned it and had to wait for my deposit back. Turns out, the rental company that was supposed to be good actually had a really bad reputation for ripping off customers. It was pretty frustrating because neither the rental company nor the airline took responsibility or helped sort things out. The whole experience left me feeling like I'd been tricked and taken advantage of.
Worst car rental experience
I was sure I booked with one company but then I started getting emails from another. The whole thing was a nightmare - waiting around at some dodgy industrial unit late at night. They were trying to charge me for things I'd already paid for - totally unfair. And to top it off, I had to get a pricey taxi at midnight. Not a happy camper, that's for sure.
Unfulfilled refund request
I reserved a rental car for one of my colleagues, everything seemed fine until the driver showed up to pick up the car and was refused due to his age. This was mentioned when booking, so why was he allowed to make the reservation in the first place? They only refunded us £284.08 out of the initial £584.08, a massive £300 less! We've tried to contact them via email and phone, but they are unwilling to provide a full refund. The customer service is terrible, best to steer clear.
Car rental with undisclosed limitations
The company really needs to be more transparent about their policies. I rented a car thinking I could drive as much as I wanted, but turns out that wasn't the case. They didn't make it clear anywhere that there was a limit. So now I've had to fork out extra money that I wasn't expecting. It's just not fair on customers to keep important details like that hidden. It makes the company look bad, and it's just not right.
Car rental
I hired a car from this company, but then they just handed me over to a local company that kept on insisting I owed them more money and claimed I'd damaged the car, which I know I hadn't. When I tried to raise my concerns, they dismissed me and told me to take it up with the rental company. They even had the cheek to say my complaint had been sorted out when it absolutely hadn't!
Booking extras not mentioned
This agency is basically just a go-between, taking a slice of the pie between you and the car rental company. When you pick up your vehicle, you soon find out that you have to fork out for add-ons like unlimited mileage, an extra driver, and insurance (that you've already paid for to the company). So, in the end, you end up paying double the price for your rental! Definitely steer clear of this. It's much wiser to book directly with the rental company to steer clear of this dodgy scheme.
Cancelled booking for refund
I cancelled my booking in time to get a refund, and got an email confirming the refund, but it's been 15 days and still no money! Can't get hold of a human, only a useless BOT. Awful experience, wouldn't recommend to anyone.
Rental car experience
I hired a car from a car rental company, but got emails from a different one. When I got to the desk to collect my rental, I got hit with a bunch of fees and deposits I wasn't told about. Plus, the desk was really hard to find and way farther than expected. I felt forced to pay for insurance I didn't plan for, and it left me feeling ripped off. I've been trying to contact customer service with no success, so I'd advise others to steer clear of this company.
Hidden charges, expensive booking
As a customer, I just want to say how disappointed I am with the sneaky extra charges that weren't made clear when I booked. I'm sure I'm not the only one who was shocked to see extra location fees and taxes added on top of what I thought I was paying initially, making my booking a lot more pricey than I expected. It's just not right for a company to not be honest about all the costs from the start, leaving customers feeling like they've been tricked and annoyed. Easycar really needs to be more open about these extra fees to stop this happening again.
Dubrovnik car rental
I would strongly advise against booking a rental car with these people! I went ahead and booked a car rental at Dubrovnik airport, paid in full, and was assured there would be no extra charges. However, upon arrival, the rental company demanded an additional 300 EURO before handing over the car! And would you believe it? Easycar did nothing to assist me, I mean what's the point of booking through them if they won't have your back in these situations?! Makes you wonder if they're in cahoots with these scammers or something! And to top it off, after I left a negative review, they had the nerve to promise they would "look into it" - typical, suddenly they care. My advice? Steer clear of them, seriously.
Car rental experience
My recent experience with a car rental company wasn't great. When I took the car back, they said I wouldn't get my deposit back because they claimed there had been smoking in the car. I tried to explain and argue my case, but they wouldn't change their mind. The way they handled it was really poor and left me feeling annoyed and let down. I'm now trying to sort it out with my credit card company.
Rental car experience
Watch out and avoid using them! They act as a middleman for companies and surprise you with an unexpected 'insurance' fee of £250 when you collect the car. If you refuse to pay, they won't give you the car. After paying, you have to sign documents that bind you into a contract with them, leaving you with no recourse to reclaim your money or any legal ground to stand on.
Car rental scam
This company is just a complete scam! My experience with them was a complete nightmare from the beginning to the end. We booked a car through a third-party website for a specific price, but then when we went to pick it up, they surprised us with extra charges and fees. The final cost ended up being over three times what we originally agreed to pay. The car itself was in really bad shape, with a noticeably dented front license plate. When we returned the car in the same condition we got it, they tried to say there was damage and wanted to keep our deposit. It was obvious that they were trying to con us out of more money, and there's absolutely no way I'll ever use this company again.
My booking at the airport
I recently booked a car at this airport from a car rental company. Initially, I was a bit unsure because I had heard mixed reviews, but it turned out to be a simple process. I was pleased to see that the price on their website matched the car rental site. I don't have a credit card, so I used Klarna for payment, which worked out well. I did receive some spam emails afterwards, and one had incorrect information about a deposit, but after giving them a call, everything was sorted out.
My voucher experience
My voucher didn't cover anything, it was in English only. The customer service at the desk was really rude and seemed unprepared. Also, the car was really dirty.
Bad car hire experience
I hired a car through this company, but they directed me to another rental place that refused to give me the car because I hadn't held a license for two years. When I requested a refund, they flat out refused to give me my money back. It's just not right that they're keeping my money without providing the service I paid for!
Quick and inexpensive car rental
I really want to give them just one star, but honestly, I wish I could rate them even lower than that. They are complete scammers, so don't be fooled by their cheap rental prices. Their customer service is terrible – I tried to contact them several times to change my booking, but nothing ever happened. In the end, I had to cancel it altogether. They never gave me a refund, so now I'm stuck in the middle of a PayPal dispute. I'm just waiting to see how it all gets sorted out.
