Used vehicle purchase
When it comes to buying a second-hand vehicle, it can be a bit of a gamble. I learned this the hard way when I decided to purchase a motorcycle from what I thought was a trustworthy seller. However, things took a turn when I decided to do an HPI check, only to find out that the bike was actually a category B vehicle. The situation got worse when the DVLA didn't seem to care much about helping me out. I ended up getting dragged into a big mess involving a police investigation for insurance fraud, with the previous owner, Allianz Insurance, the MOT testing station, and the DVLA all caught up in it. Dealing with all of this has been a real pain and has taken up a lot of my time. Looking back, I really wish I had done that HPI check before buying the bike.

Quick and Informative HPI Check
In general, I was happy with my experience using the HPI Check service when buying my new vehicle. The whole thing was easy to do and the report was really helpful. It gave me all the info I needed to decide if the car was right for me.

Misleading report
The report they gave me was all wrong and didn't show the real condition of the vehicle I wanted to buy. It was a total waste of my time and money, so I wouldn't advise anyone to use their services.

Problematic IT system
I got a letter from the company asking about the mileage of a car I sold. It was quite detailed, mentioning the private number plate and the DVLA one. But, had some trouble when trying to enter the info online. It took me four tries to input the number plates due to spacing problems. Even after that, I couldn't submit the form because of an error message. It was so annoying and clearly, the IT system needs fixing.
Fixed mileage issue
I had a bit of trouble with the mileage on my car, but the dealer managed to sort it out by getting a check from HPI. They sent me a brand new report that showed the problem had been taken care of. Sarah was super helpful and really efficient on both phone calls. Roger Rowlett was also fantastic!
Fast and super easy
I love the fastest speed that i ever witnessed in getting my car history. well i know its important to make sure that whatever you are buying should not have something bad record already. All thanks to HPI , i can be on ease and also enjoy the ride without any tension.
Confusing letter, wrong information
So, you know, I got this letter from this company asking about a car they reckon I had from 2012-2016, but I actually got it in 2018. And then they say someone wants to buy it, but I'm not selling it? And they got my old addresses all mixed up, so how did I even get this letter? Plus, they said the car had a different registration before, but it didn't. I wouldn't trust this company, ever!
Updating vehicle record
I recently tried out HPI Check to do a check on a car I was thinking of buying. But then after I bought the car, I had a bit of trouble updating the vehicle record with the DVLA. I found out that there was a time limit for updating the record, which I wasn't told about before. It was pretty annoying and felt like a waste of money as the service didn't really do everything I needed it to. Next time, I'll definitely be more careful before using that service again.

I had a really good experience with this service! I had some trouble with another vehicle history check provider giving me dodgy info that nearly messed up my car purchase. But then I found this service, and they sorted everything out within a day. Great job!
My HPI Check
I wanted to check my car but the information was completely inaccurate. So, I asked them to correct it but they refused. And now, they don't even respond to my emails! It's really unfair!
Clear purchase decision
