    Good selection happy with what I got, found it slightly overpriced but the fact you can not cancel your subscription with ease is such a huge sign these guys dont rate they're own service. I avoid doing business with any company where it's intentionally difficult to stop buying from them

    It's essentially a subscription marketing con. Easy to sign up. Pain in the proverbial to stop the payments. Effectively impossible to get the money back. If you've clumsily subscribed, I would advise raising it as a fraudulent payment directly with your bank rather than relying on their smug customer service.

    I ordered as it was an offer for £5 because I had purchased something else! I think it was fruity beer. I bought as a gift for my mum. I do not drink alcohol due to my medication. It seems I am now signed up, although I thought I was just getting an offer! To cancel I will have to ring a number on Monday. I am not hopeful that this will be straight forward! Mum did not like the beer. I now have the problem of sending the beer back, there is an immenent order arriving! For £24!! I should know better, nothing in life is for free!

    Free intro offer - NEVER AGAIN

    Took advantage of a free case and then forgot to cancel. Now I am trying to cancel. It's impossible to do online and I've been waiting on the phone line for over 30 minutes. Sometimes I get answered then the line goes dead. It's so frustrating!

    The beers are not great or at least not to my taste. I am getting the 'light' beers but more than half the case is >5% ABV with a number of >7%. I persevered with some but did not like them at all. Now I just have a collection of strong beers cluttering up my kitchen cupboard.

    This business model is built on a free introductory offer, high prices, low quality and a highly inconvenient cancellation process. They are simply working their way through the population creating active dislike for the company and their product. Feels like a short term smash and grab rather than an attempt to build a long term value proposition. I will advocate against this company.

    Waste of money.

    My husband enjoyed the selection of beers over the past year. I got him a subscription for a year on a monthly debit. However, after a year he’d had enough beer to try! So we decided to cancel the subscription. Well -easy to sign up but a nightmare to cancel! Almost an hour holding on the phone still no answer and little response to emails to try and cancel. So I have just cancelled them receiving any further payment from my bank account! Very underhanded way to get money! They keep your card details then make it so hard to cancel payment! Bit of a fraud really! Beers were interesting but whole customer service around cancellation has left a bad taste! I would avoid this company as their beers are expensive and it is difficult to cancel once you subscribe. However, on a positive note the beers are interesting and it’s convenient to have a monthly delivery. Join only if you’re willing to go through this cancellation travesty!

    Light beers box

    I took advantage of a very good deal. Unlike others I was aware that I was joining a club. The beers weren’t to my taste so I decided to cancel after the first delivery. Cancellation is only possible by phone and initially I found this very frustrating as the 0203 number I found on the website disconnected after six minutes on hold every time. I then found a 0131 number which was answered after about ten minutes. The chap I spoke to was very helpful; obviously he offered me incentives to stay but then he duly cancelled my account, which was quickly followed by an email confirmation.

    10 mins on the phone at 50p per minute just to cancel your subscription. You were lucky to get this done in 10 mins. A lot of people wait 20 mins and then their call is disconnected. Total scam

    Glad I read this review about cancelling. I definitely won't be ordering from them now

    After much direct marketing I bought through hotukdeals a box of soon to be off beers at a seemingly good price. I forgot about it and weeks later it arrived by Hermes. Included was an offer for th next box for postage only. I thought, why not. A couple days later, Yodel confirmed a delivery but no box. 3 days later (Tuesday) the box arrived whilst we were away. None of course Beer52 fault except from choosing shuddy couriers.

    The beers however are in my mind closer to icecream flavours, lime, salted caramel, chocolate... there were a few interesting ones but a bit too adventorous and therefore I wished to cancel. The cheese "snack" was so awful that I gave it to the dog.

    Cancellation has to be done via phone. Monday, waited and hung up. the entire Tuesday there was a message that no one was available. Wednesday - after reviewing this website - THANK YOU. I got hold of Mark after 20 minutes. He offered the glasses, the discount etc. etc. but I emphasized that I wanted to cancel. He confirmed that to be done with no more quibbles. I received an email shortly after, confirming that our chat agreed to a discounted purchase of £14.5 and will revert back to £29 thereafter???

    I have now blocked my credit card as I see no other means of stopping my business with these scammers. Good riddance to them.

    I'll start by saying that I love the beers, the main negative in my opinion is that they're generally over priced. Having said that, they often have good deals. Because I only order when they have a good deal on I've had to ring and cancel my subscription a few times, in the past this has meant a very long time on hold, but my most recent call was much better. It was answered immediately and the person who helped me (Portia I believe) was extremely friendly and helpful.

    Ordered the trial box for my father, loved the beers! No faults there.

    Although having now signed my father up, I called up to cancel and it didn’t seem to matter but they wouldn’t take no for an answer. They have said my subscription has been cancelled now but I’m dubious as to whether it actually has! Bloke made out there was 57 people in the queue at 0915 in the morning.. hence the long 22 minute wait. I beg to differ.
    I would avoid this company, pay the little extra to go somewhere local and have the ability to go and physically speak to someone or go into a store. Not worth the hassle.

    Easy enough to sign up. awfully difficult to cancel.

    I've been calling since Thursday, its now Monday I have been in the queue for 23 mins. It raises the questions, are they under-staffed? Are they that busy with cancellations? Or, is this a tactic to dissuade you from leaving?

    I would not recommend signing up to Beer52. I signed up via our company rewards, I will approach our HR Business Partner and disclose my findings, with the view to remove off our company Perks.

    Oktoberfest Case - which I never got!

    I'm quite sad to write this as I was hoping to have found a company that cares about good beers and people who appreciate them.

    I have ordered the Oktoberfest case from them - 8 delicious German beers. However, they just sent me a selection of absolutely disgusting non-beers instead.
    Salamander Milk Stout, Oatmeal Nitro, Orange Pastry Stout and Dark Druid Chocolate just to name a few.

    On pointing out the mistake I was told that the German beers are not in stock (A lie, as one of their employees checked the stock for me and over 1000 cases are still in stock) and that I should just be happy with having a case of beer.

    I have genuinely never experienced such cheek from any company ever before.

    Absolutely avoid and get your beers somewhere else. Lots of places online that sell much better beer and actually care about you!!

    Cancelled my subscription, start of Oct a box was delivered and I’d been charged, contacted them and suddenly they deny all knowledge of my call, saying it’s mysteriously not on the system.. even after giving them all my details to prove it

    3 weeks later still no refund and still battling with them.

    Awful cancellation policy. Deliberately behind a phone call to make it as hard to unsubscribe as possible for no reason. Thieving practices when you could just as easily have a cancel button on the website. Kept me waiting forever on the phone too.

    Shocking customer service. Avoid avoid avoid!
    Delivered a box outside of my house, without permission, while I was away on holiday. Didn't leave box with a neighbor or take back to deport like most delivery companies would do, just left on the door step. This lead to it being severely damaged in the sun during a heatwave and then the subsequent rain. Expected this to be a simple issue to resolve on my return home, however Beer52 took no responsibility for this, and blamed me for not contacting them to tell them I would be away. No notice of this requirement is given when signing up or on the website at the moment. I never gave permission for a delivery to be left outside my house but apparently they consider this acceptable practice and any damage from the second it reaches your doorstep is your fault.

    Customer service also very slow. Takes at least 4 days per reply to an email and answers change depending on who their end replies. At one stage I was told they would replace my box and then on asking how to arrange it that offer was swiftly changed and withdrawn.

    If you sign up beware that if something goes wrong, they will blame you and not actually sort out the problem. Very disappointing as could potentially have been a long term enjoyable subscription. I don't usually leave bad reviews online, but genuinely shocked at how bad this customer service response was! In summary - avoid avoid avoid!!!!!

    It also takes them days to respond by email.

    This is totally out of order in this day and age, and clearly a deliberate tactic to make cancelling as awkward as possible.

    Can I start by saying that I've enjoyed the beers I've received and have spoken to many friends about my subscription to Beer52 since November last year. I am, however, giving up drinking and want to cancel my subscription. 

    I set up my account online. I entered my card info online. I can choose my beer type online. But no, I have to CALL to CANCEL my subscription?

    Seriously....what the hell! I should be able to control when and where I spend my own money without having to negotiate barriers intended to stop me from leaving. I have tried calling 8 times today and have not been able to get through.

    Surely you must understand that I shouldn't have to worry about a company stealing from me? You don't have enough call handlers (or even a queue system) in place, which ensures that I can't unsubscribe and means that I HAVE to pay for something I don't want. How in the name of hell do you not see this as a problem?

    I now know I'm not alone in my grief as I've now come across countless articles and comments from people suffering the same bullshittery that I'm going through.

    F- you for your disgusting practices.

    Ordered my beer and after a week it still hadn't arrived. An email told me to check my delivery reference number (that I hadn't received). Now trying to cancel my membership and constantly kept on hold.
    They are a nightmare to contact and a shambles to sort out your order, I have ordered things from abroad that have turned up quicker. They don't answer the phone so I have had to resort to leaving a bad review to give them a kick in the bum.
