Review about: Toolden
Tools
Toolden has provided one of the worst experiences I’ve had with an online retailer. First, they completely botched my order, delivering it to the wrong address. Not only was the parcel lost due to their incompetence, but after multiple attempts to resolve the issue, they have now refused to take any responsibility for their mistake. This lack of accountability is absolutely unacceptable for any business, let alone one that relies on customer trust for its operations. I am now left with no choice but to pursue legal action against them for their failure to meet their obligations.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Toolden is legally obligated to deliver goods as per the agreed contract. When you purchase an item, the seller is required to ensure that it is delivered to the correct address and in satisfactory condition. The fact that they lost the parcel and are refusing to resolve it is a breach of contract. In this situation, I am fully entitled to either a replacement or a refund.
Additionally, according to Section 29 of the Consumer Rights Act, the retailer bears the responsibility for goods until they are delivered to the correct customer. This means that Toolden is in clear violation of the law by neglecting their responsibility once the goods were sent out and subsequently lost. Their failure to resolve this issue voluntarily opens the door to legal recourse. I've been using this pharmacy for a while and I have to say, the service is really good. I'm absolutely shocked by the terrible customer service I've had from this company. A few weeks ago, I ordered an activewear set, thinking I was getting a great deal. Turns out, it's been nothing but a nightmare. They sent me the wrong size, so I returned it following all their instructions. They received it on 5th September, but it's been more than a month and I still haven't got my refund. I've sent them several emails asking about it, but all I've received are automated replies. I've had enough of this, I'm so disappointed and irritated. I won't be buying from them again, and I'll be warning all my friends and family to stay away too.

A beautiful silver and pearl ring
I recently bought this stunning silver and pearl ring from this company. I had a little issue when I was checking out as I forgot to choose express delivery, and I really needed the ring quickly for a wedding in a couple of days. So, I decided to drop them an email to ask if they could speed up the delivery somehow. I was really pleased when they got back to me within half an hour, saying they had sorted out my order and changed the delivery to express without any extra cost. The customer service from them was just brilliant - really outstanding. They didn't just help me out, but they also took the time to wish me well for my big day. I'm so thankful for their kindness and efficiency and I'll definitely be shopping with them again.

Faulty trainers
I recently got a new pair of trainers from Sneaker Studio, but sadly, they turned out to be faulty after just one wear. I got in touch with their customer service team, and to be fair, they replied quite quickly. They gave me the choice of either getting a refund or sending back the trainers. I chose the refund because I didn't have the box anymore. But then they changed their mind and took back the offer, which left me feeling let down and annoyed because I thought we had sorted things out. I've been emailing back and forth with the same person from customer service, but we haven't made any progress in fixing the problem. Overall, my experience with Sneaker Studio has been really disappointing, and I won't be using their services again in the future.

Shoe sole quality issue
I've been a loyal customer of this brand for more than 20 years, buying both Hogan and Tods products. But recently, I've had a big problem with the soles of my Hogan shoes. In just a few months, the soles of seven pairs of Hogan shoes have come off. I think it's because the glue used in making them is really bad quality. It's not right to spend over three hundred euros on shoes that are basically stuck together with cheap glue. The brand needs to sort this out quickly, because customers should get better quality for their money. I won't be buying any more Hogan or Tods products until they fix this quality problem.

The rules for hand luggage are just ridiculous - I mean, they charge you straight away if your backpack doesn't fit into such a small space. They reel you in with those cheap prices, but when you get to check-in, it's like you're being watched by some old military police. The staff seem so frustrated and end up taking it out on the customers, which isn't fair at all.

Avoid. Order a clutch kit, they send the wrong one (on there website and Ebay said is the correct one), fitted to car, not good, almost destroyed my gear box, sent it back, didn't want to refund me as it was signs of use. Very rude customer service, didn't want to compensate me as is clearly there fault. In the end spend £700 more then i should. Took my money from Visa claim. Now I take them to court for labour costs compensation as this is unexplainable.

Boiler purchase for two properties
I recently bought two boilers from your company for two different properties. Unfortunately, while one boiler is working fine, the other has been a real nightmare. The troublesome boiler keeps cutting out, no matter what we do to try and fix it. I got in touch with your customer service team, and they said it's a problem with the Viesman boiler. So, we followed their suggestion and had a power flush done on the boiler, which they said was needed. But, I should mention that iHeat should have done a basic flush during the installation. Even after the power flush, the boiler is still acting up, cutting out every now and then. When we contacted Viesman again, they confirmed the power flush was done but pointed out there was no inhibitor in the system, which they recommend on their website. The engineer who came to check it out said an inhibitor wasn't necessary, going against what Viesman advises, which has left us stuck on how to fix the problem. It's really disappointing to get poor customer service after spending money on a product that's not working right, causing us to lose quite a bit of money.

Complete waste of time.
Invested time making the application and providing identification documentation requested subsequent to my application.
The due date for delivery of my phone (which already had a significant two week lead in time) came and went. No phone arrived.
I tried to call the customer services number, but it became apparent it was only available for sales.
All customer service communication at through live chat which I got cut off from twice.
I eventually got through and was frustratingly asked to resend my ID documentation (two weeks after first provided!).
I then received an email to say my order had been cancelled. Apparently I had not passed the “security checks”. I feel like this is an excuse as I am a solicitor with a full-time job and a homeowner.

Do NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS COMPANY.
I ordered a sofa six months ago, and at the time spent a long time on the phone with a sales rep checking measurements to make sure it would fit upstairs. The sofa was due for delivery in February this year (ordered November 2020). The deadline came and went with no communication from the company, and after chasing several times I was told it was delayed due to Covid, which I accepted. I was promised delivery in March, which again came and went with no communication. Having chased again and again, I was told April. It arrived and did not fit despite their assurances, and had to be sent back. I then had to chase to arrange a refund, which I was offered with no issues because it is so obviously a huge mess up on their side. However, I was told it would take max 14 days to get my money (nearly £2,000) back, and promised they would expedite this because of the problems I have had. 15 days later I had to chase again for my refund, and while they have now confirmed it has been issued, they only just advised it might take another 10 days to appear in my account. Its utterly unacceptable to take that much money from someone for 6 months with no goods ever received, and then to not action it as a matter of extreme urgency. I have been told there is just "nothing they can do". The only excuse they will give you by the way, is that "we are a small team." So, don't order from this company unless you want to spend several hours on the phone chasing them, don't mind waiting 10 days in between hearing from customer services, be £2000 poorer, and still have no product.Review about: TransferWise

I used it a billion times already, there are almost no fees and the transfers are quick and easy! Never had a problem with it so I don't know if support is good, but I heard good things about them.

Three plants
It is said that the definition of a fool is someone who does not learn by his or her mistakes. It also says that a fool and his money are easily parted. I therefore have to put my hand up to being a fool. There have been a number times when I have done things and bought things without looking at the reviews, 3 different hotel stays instantly spring to mind, each one would have made Fawlty Towers look like the Ritz. Unfortunately, fool that I am, I did not look at the reviews for Garden Express before spending £124.93 on three very poor quality plants, oh dear!
I have three large empty ceramic pots and wanted to quickly (sic) fill them with some established, fairly mature plants before the end of the summer. Garden Express was offering £10 off orders. I spent some time doing a bit of research on their website (not looking at reviews) and was seduced by their description of the hard work of Chris Bonnett, the ‘company’, their ethos and mission statement with phrases like:
‘… the business has become a force to be reckoned with in mail order Gardening’
‘…we now ship thousands of plants every week’
‘Everything we sell is guaranteed - we don't send out anything we would not be delighted to receive ourselves’
‘…we tell you exactly how large or small they are. We were fed up of ordering expensive plants and being sent spindly twigs’
Mitigation for making the decisions I did? I don’t think so; I am old enough (but not wiser) to know better! The irony of these statements, for me personally, is brought into sharp focus when I consider the atrocious quality of the plants I received.
Here is part of the email I sent to Garden Express within hours of receiving my plants:
This is my first foray into ordering plants online and I am disappointed with the quality of the plants that I have been sent; there is little resemblance to the description on your website. I understand there have been issues due to Covid 19 and maybe to some extent the recent hot weather, but I feel that I have been sent the 'runts' of the 'carefully selected plants'. They are not of the standard I would select myself:
Hibiscus - Described as: Extra Large Tricolour 5 - 5.5 feet as you can see from the photos it is barely 4 feet 4 inches; I could have bought one this size for £29.99 from a different website! The plant does look healthy but some of the bark on the stem has been scraped off (photo) not sure if this will affect the plant.
Corkscrew Hazel - Described as: Fresh green foliage through out the year. The photos show that it is not very healthy, all the leaves are curled and yellowing some with brown edges. The pot was crumpled as it was forced in to the same box as the Korean lilac.
Dwarf Korean Lilac - Described as: with a bushy head on a stem.... covered with buds and blooms in season, second part of the season being August - September. As you can see from the photos it is straggly with not a bud in sight.
I paid a lot of money for these 3 plants; more money than I have ever paid for three plants, which makes my disappointment even greater. Based on your descriptions I expected great plants that I would be able to put straight into 3 large pots. None of the plants came with any planting or care information.
I uploaded 10 photos to support my claims.
I received an email from Garden Express that essentially said
‘This ticket is now awaiting review from our Horticultural Manager’
Five working days later I emailed Garden Express to find out where I was with a resolution. No reply, in fact I have not heard anything since. I have emailed on numerous occasions, they have now blocked my email address. Nobody answers the one phone number I can find.

Course is very interesting but it’s a little frustrating that the dialogue Switches from course to what’s coming next which should really be at the end. Also I am getting about 5 emails a day from Shaw academy trying to up sell their add ons and telling me the course has stated 10 minutes before it has!

Not what I expected. If I am going to do an online school, I expect to take at my pace. The classes are pre-recorded. They're not live, so, I should be able to do the entire set of lessons in one week if that's my choice. The "bot" is just that, an AI bot that can only answer a canned set of questions, or the other people online in the class at the time can respond. Since I am a Senior Project Manager, PMP certified, reviewing the class for personal reasons, I expected a bit more. Good information, knowledgeable teacher. Format is not what I expected.

Actually I loved the class. Its interesting too. But the only thing that i felt difficult is that the class is little bit fast... Other than that Shaw academy is very good. Video classes can also be useful.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to study graphics design for free. Studying the course made me fall more deeply in love with the course, I love the resources employed by shaw academy such as the AI for asking questions,an interactive class session also the educator spoke so understandably.
For me, it's been so far, so great! I have had great times in the last three classes I attended. I've just got to take a further and personal responsibility to work on myself the more. No teacher gives you all. Kudos to Shaw Academy!

This will advance my current skills to another level. To be fair, the one thing that made me a little uneasy was the payment process. The course so far seems ok (I've just done one class). Rescheduling system could be simpler and it would be better to be able to see your full calendar somewhere. It is annoying how they always try to ring you - the sales is quite aggressive. I've heard its hard to end the payment after the free trial too so I'm going to make sure I cancel the direct debit myself.

They're good at taking the money and delivering the beer but it's impossible to cancel. The only way you can cancel is to call them, but the line always states that there is no one in the office despite calling during in their opening hours.

For a free course, the information is well laid out... However, technically, it's obviously not live playback but a recording.
Also, there is not enough time to make a response when asked for one. Prob coz they're recorded playback lessons.
Too many emails are sent to my inbox :(It's a fraudulent company. If they have your bank details they will take payments they are not entitled to, regardless of whether you cancel. Contact your bank to cancel your card.

I have taken a ton of online courses, both for marketing my the business my husband and I have start
, for college and for high school. I have completed my 2nd course on Module 1 in PhotoShop and the 1st course in Digital Marketing in Module 1. So far I have been very impressed. Although I could do with a **whole lot less** marketing texts and e-mail selling me to sign up for a plan as well as purchase the toolkit and/or the e-certificate. However, I really, really appreciate all the texts and emails reminding me my course will start in 24-hours, 1 hours and is starting now.
I think most of us realize these are not "live" courses, but have been pre-recorded. However ... 1.) the pre-recording is done so well you feel as if it is live and 2.) The way they actually ask you to schedule you course time in advance and then all the reminders really, really help to motivate me to sit down and work the courses, or the review of the previous lesson everyday! Courses without this kind of accountability ... well, I seldom finish them!
As far as the costs and the advertising. As I said I could do without the continual repetitive sales pitches via text and email. Seriously, it does get old. And then you get pop-up everytime you get on to the site selling you the very same thing! Thank God they are easy to x-out of and move on with whatever you need to do.
That being said ... I was trying to go through and listen to the recordings any day I was not taking a class and screen print all the information I needed to keep and dump those into a PowerPoint like program. I decided my time was worth more than this and went ahead and purchased the toolkit. At that point I was shocked to see we will have to purchase both a toolkit and the e-certificate / final challenge for EACH MODULE of the class? REALLY?? I would have been glad to pay for this once per class, For an 8 module course that is 40x2x8 = $640 per course if you are going to take this course seriously and go all the way through it. That is IN ADDITION to the $70 or so they are going to charge you per month. By the way, you have to purchase their 3-month, 6-month or 12-month plans in advance (pay in full). I am suspicious their "you can cancel at anytime" will work like this ... "Sure. we would be glad to cancel that for you ... but you purchased the X number of months plan, so we will have to keep your account active until that period of time is complete. You will have access to the courses until that date, and then we will cancel your plan." In other words, you can cancel ... but you will not receive a refund for the time you are not planning to use.. Again ... this is my suspicion, based on some other pay-in-advance for your per month services. An 8 module course, based on their 2 lessons per week scheduling requirements, with 4 lesson per module will take you approximately 32 months. That means you will really be paying $640 + between $1568 ($49/32 months) and $2208 ($69/month). That's somewhere between $2208 and $2248 for your first course. If you are able to take 2 courses at 2 lessons per week, then it, of course, becomes less expensive per course. Having costs all this out ... I am thinking a course at an online community college might be cheaper.
That being said, I really do like the instruction in the two courses I am taking.
For those looking to obtain the certification to put on their resume or to show to a current or perspective employer in order to get a job or a raise, I worry about is whether the professional certificate will hold water?? I can't find anywhere that says anything in depth about that. I know if I received a certificate directly for Adobe or a college or even a community college it would hold some weight. But what will a certificate from "Shaw Academy" get you?
Again, I love the courses so far, I really love the scheduling and the reminders ... which serve as an accountability factor for me. But ... the ads and the cost of the toolkits and certificate per module makes this INCREDIBLY expensive!!

The chatwall "robot" during classes is quite new, so the robot is still learning, can not really give answers for all your questions.Cheri - get ready for some deceptive and unethical practices when you try to cancel. If you are already tired of the constant sales pitch you ain't seen nothing yet. There is a lot of feedback that they are taking money that they are not entitled to after you believe you successfully jumped through their ridiculous hoops to cancel. The cancellation phone call alone requires 6 mins of your time responding to not questions like "press 2 to give up on your hopes and dreams". Good luck, and to everyone else I say avoid.
I know absolutely nothing about trading but the First lesson gave me an education and I was hooked. Detailed and delivered at a pace you will be able to follow.
Not a bad start today. Easy to use and log into. Could be better if I could start later in the programme as i have a working knowledge of excel already
The webinar was very good, simple and to the point which suits my needs perfectly. What I do not appreciate is that you have to pay extra for slides and content. For someone like me, struggling at the moment, and for loads of others in this crisis I think this isn't kind or helpful. There should have been more thought into this.
Shaw Academy are being widely accused of deceptive and fraudulent behaviour with regard to unauthorized taking of payments for cancelled accounts. It is recommended to cancel your bank card if they have your details.
Just enrolled with Shaw Academy and have thoroughly enjoyed my first lesson in Photoshop. The teaching is very clear and easy to follow. Watching the video back really helps consolidate the lesson.
On a website where many big brands only have one or two reviews there are over 1300 for Shaw Academy. It doesn't add up. It stinks of a cover up and a scam.

Another 100 great reviews for Shaw in just one day. I really don't trust any of it. Some interesting reviews on the last pages (from March and before). They have very different ratings. I repeat, this screams SCAM. Others say cancel your card if they have your details, that sounds sensible.

I don't understand all the extra cost shouldn't the tool kits come with the class and if they are webinar recording can we take courses at our own pace around our schedule. Then when we finish RECEIVE ECertificate. Due to only 2 classes a week makes this very expensive for me low income. I can handle full time classes. 5 classes a day!!!

Great Job!At first when I saw the online program at Shaw Academy I was reluctant due some experience I had over the years with online study of which I never thought I could go through an online program any longer. But this is different I felt at home as if I was with the audience. I can assure you that I was smiling all through and didn't even know when my time ends. The topics on Management and Leadership are clearly delt with without holding back, nice tutorial and sound knowledge. I am excited and promised to introduce many friends to the platform. The follow up on students, sending reminder, mails, infact this institution pampered her students so much. I felt a huge sense of belonging. It's a wonderful experience I must confess. BritainReviews is complicit in this fraud, a check on the IP addresses behind each post would uncover the extent. A similar problem exists on more reputable TrustPilot, but there are higher hopes that they will investigate
As a new, also elder, not savvy in technology.... [ brain is too rusty?!, ], it's very challenging. Just give you a ideas so I mention name; Udemy formats is/was friendly on schedules, no hidden purchases pop up, I have freedom+, to control etc., ....whatever it is I choose w/ no fears....etc. [ I see very good for younger ones who have lots of futures to keep up, & savvy on media....., highly recommendable..].
Gosh! I enjoyed my class project management. Being in the financial world and recently added my own business, renovations and industrial cleaning I feel more confident about facing it. I've taken other online courses MBA but I feel more relaxed here and listen to the lectures easily.

First time to study about graphic design and the lecturers way of teaching is clear and easy to understand.
It is good learning experience with Shaw academy content and information given is good , just few system error needs to be fixed , like regular reminders on dashboard tab for subscription packs and rescadule of lessons are not working well.

I'm only on the 2nd lesson. I do like the format teaching format, but it is pretty slow. I don't like only being able to take 2 lessons a week, especially the initial super basic lessons. I was hoping to consume the content much faster since my business is shut down, once it reopens, I'll likely not have time to spend learning and should instead be able to implement. I'm not a complete newbie.

I thought the first class was well organised,in terms of presentation.The only downside i felt,was that the pace of the lecture was a bit too fast,being the first lecture i could have done with a little mellow approach to be up to speed with the course.

I was so satisfied with the first course, that I also started another one. I love the way lessons are divided for better explanation, as well as the tasks after every second lesson that trigger us to practice even more. I would definitely recommend to everyone willing to save time, and study from home in the free time. It's amazing how you can schedule your classes as you like. The only "bad" side is the pricing. However, I come from poor country where the average salary is 400€, so I guess the courses' price is totally acceptable for countries with higher standards.

Hi, I'm Carmela in South Carolina. I am taking the Leadership Diploma class. The class is well structured and taught. I do not like the constant up selling of the support materials and tool kits. I have been laid off since March and will not be returning to my job. Unemployment benefits does not pay all of the bills.
Its my first time doing online course. I felt the class was effective and everything was just fine .

You will find yourself in a hole.The online Project management course ourse is very interesting but I must say it is not properly structured. It is better you clear everyone from the beginning that there are charges attached the course than indirectly introducing charges at every stage of the training. We are learning project management but I assure you a lot people will drop off at one stage of the course or the other meaning that it will become an ABANDON PROJECT because of poor project planning. Please review your program for each course and tell intending participants how much a course will cost with all materials, tool kits, certificate etc inclusive so whoever that is interested and financially ready to enroll will start the course. Again, why restricting the training only twice a week and just for 1hrs,? My second lesson wasn't even up to 40mins?? Why not incorporate everything into a package and then allow each student to choose how he or she wants the classes. Some of us will like to have 2 - 4hrs a day for 5days and get the program completed ASAP. Please Shaw academy management look into these complaints and improve on your course management. Thanks.

I am 2 lessons into a course so will stick with it for another couple, but having studied similar topics, the course is poor. There is nothing new original so far that you couldn't get yourself online. Reed.co.uk are advertising free online courses and they are much better (if not great).Rudimentary at best for an aged student (61) but it’s a trial in Nutrition so I can’t expect much to start...too much pressure to “Buy in extras!”

Well seeing all these reviews about shaw academy is quite different from what I expected. I was really super excited and still really excited that I'm among this academy because with the lesson I've gotten soo far, I would say they're rather smooth and very educative. My educator made classes really comprehensive which to me was never a bore.

TOTAL SCAM. One and a half months after CANCELLATION, they have taken 50 Euros from my account for no reason. Even though I had no access to the platform or any communication AT ALL, they have unlawfully charged me and are now refusing a refund.
Their initial claim was that I did not cancel, then they said that the cancellation was "not complete" despite having no access to the platform, having a member of their team gathering feedback about the cancellation and not having any payments as the trial period expired or the month afterwards. They have RANDOMLY AND UNLAWFULLY taken money from my account for a service that was not provided, based on an absolute and non-sensical lie (that I did not cancel, despite the overwhelming evidence).
Shaw Academy is nothing but a collection of pre-recorded and fairly poor musings about different subjects that acts as a front SCAM OPERATION, that even as you follow their procedures still has the nerve to illegally take money from your bank account.Review about: Magazines Direct
