I absolutely love the piece I purchased, it's stunning and I couldn't be happier. The seller was great with communication, very responsive to my questions. However, my problem was with the shipping through 1stDibs. Even though it was supposed to be "free" shipping, I actually ended up paying a huge $500 for it. It took a whole month for the item to reach me from Florida to Chicago, which just isn't acceptable these days. When I spoke to the seller about my frustration, they told me that 1stDibs handles all the shipping arrangements. The shipping company they used, BMC Freight, had the worst customer service I've ever encountered. They kept giving me false delivery dates and conflicting information, it was a nightmare trying to get a straight answer. The delivery was delayed multiple times and I had to be really firm with the driver to make sure I got my piece on the promised day. The whole experience was really disappointing. I would have preferred a quicker and more reliable service, even if it meant not having my item carried into my house. My issue isn't with the seller or the product, but with the poor shipping process managed by 1stDibs.
Rare and authenticated find
I came across this really awesome rare item that was in perfect condition. The seller was fantastic - they had a full five-star rating and definitely deserved it. Not only did I manage to snag the item, but I also received a certificate of authentication which made me feel extra special. Another seller on a different website tried to convince me that finding something genuine was a once in a blue moon occurrence, but I didn't buy into that and I'm really pleased I didn't!

I was really let down by 1stDibs, even though I had bought a lovely vintage chandelier from them. The delivery date they said didn't happen, and I had to keep chasing them up almost every day just to get some information on when my item might arrive. I spoke directly to the seller, who was also fed up with 1stDibs' lack of communication. We were both about to give up when 1stDibs finally got back to us and said it would be standard delivery in another 6 weeks. If I had known it would be this difficult, I would have just cancelled my order and gone straight to the seller. It's a shame because 1stDibs has such a nice website, but the service is really terrible. When I finally got my item, that will probably be the last time I use 1stDibs.

On top of that, the bracelet wasn't great quality - the chain was thin and flimsy and didn't seem worth the high price I paid for it. Even the seller of the bracelet agreed that the quality wasn't good.
