Lassington Sofa and Snuggle Chair
Purchased a Lassington Grand pillow back 4 seater Sofa and a snuggle chair from store, items were delivered on 17th July 2023 this is when the issues began... The sofa and Chair came with 9 scatter cushion's and out of the 9 that were delivered only 2 were in the correct fabric, it took 67 emails and several deliveries over 3 months to finally receive the correct order. I have also had an ongoing issue with the Sofa, I ordered this in a patterned fabric, after a few weeks the base seating cushions changed colour, they darkened and looked a totally different colour to the upholstered base the sofa, the seats look really grubby and ... compared to the crisp cream colour of the base, I raised this and I have been told that the nap of the fabric on a patterned sofa changes colour once sat on and that its not a fault. I can not accept that a sofa only a few weeks old will wear this way it looks worn and ... and I am extremely upset and annoyed ay this feedback, no one mentioned this to me when I purchased this sofa and I really can not accept that this is acceptable wear after a month we paid Ā£2,800 for this furniture and went to a supplier that we thought were reputable in producing and selling well made furniture. This sofa looks 5 years old in a few months so this company is not living up to the reputation it might of held before.
Sofa
We purchased the Borelly corner sofa in July/August 2020 which we loved for Ā£3500. Unfortunately the sofa has development a fault, a 6 inch hole in the material covering the springs. The material used is not fit for purpose and we are really disappointed with the quality of workmanship for the price we paid. Because we are out of the 2 year manufacture warranty Barker ... Stonehouse have said it is not their policy to do anything! I am appalled by their customer service or lack of it should I say! A sofa costing this amount of money should last more than 2-3 years and we should not be expected to pay for the repair! Barker ... Stonehouseā¦ shame on you for selling shoddy goods. I will never buy from you again!

Do not shop from here. We have bought 8 of these chairs and 3 of them have broken within a few months of purchase. Poorly designed desk and office chair! Poor quality and made to a low standard. We have contacted Baker and Stonehouse and they have done nothing anf have said that there is nothing they can do because these chairs have been used in an office. It is really bad for a desk / office chair to not be able to be used in an office. Please do not purchase from here, worst customer service and no one told us that we could not use these office chairs in an office when we purchased 8. Awful service and Poor quality products.
GALENA SOFA
We had a shocking time with these company. We trusted the reviews and we were wrong. We bought a sofa GALENA in 2017 delivered avril. We spent Ā£3k included a fabric protection insurance for Ā£200. And less than 6 month later we started to worry about the fabric being damaged: loose and discoloured. We contacted the company and been sent a stain pack!! They wouldnāt come to see it. And another six month later we moved abroad.
A year and a half after buying it the structure of the sofa started to give up. The pillows were sliding off!! And the base started to sink in. We have photos of very draped fabric on the base because it lost its shape!! You can puff up the pillow but to a level. I had to buy spare pillow in IKEA to pump them up!! I then contacted the company again and refused any help and cancelled our insurance because we left the uk. I pushed for month and month with photos and proofs but nothing!! We are now back without the sofa as it was unusable by now and they still ignore us. āØDONT BELIEVE THE ADD!! IT WONT LAST!! WARNING āļø Do not purchase any furniture items from this company. We spent a lot of money on a table and sofa and the service has been appalling. The table was delivered to the wrong address TWICE. We paid extra for assisted delivery but the couriers werenāt properly equipped to assemble the table and had to use my tools. They delivered on a wet day and didnāt have any shoe covers to enter the property. But, the best part, the table was damaged! Weāve had to deal with a third party supplier to āinspectā the table who also went to the wrong address and then didnāt turn up at all. Throughout the entire process weāve had to continually chase B&S for updates. This has been over a 2+ month period and weāre still left with a damaged table. Itās been a terrible experience and is unfortunately still ongoing.
(Oh and the sofa was due in 14 weeks - itās now been nearly 17 weeks and we still donāt have a delivery date).
Avoid at all costs!Dining Table
Terrible delivery service. If you live in āthe westā (Manchester) the delivery process is completely unmanageable if you also have a job. They will text you the week before with a delivery date and if you canāt be home on that day you have to reschedule for the following week and try again, with zero flexibility in moving the date or requesting certain dates be avoided. Most people can take a day off work if needed for something like this, but not often with only 3 working days notice. After 3 weeks of waiting for the weekly lottery text telling me what date my table would arrive and it always landing on my working days I wrote an email of complaint to their customer services team and asked that someone call me to discuss options for delivery. Not only did they not reply, they immediately cancelled my order without any communication at all, so then I waited another week for my next delivery date and only discovered the order had been cancelled when I rang the delivery team wondering why I hadnāt got the usual text. My only option at this point after already waiting 2 months for the table was then to repurchase the table and start the process all over again. Unfortunately I have now had to buy a table elsewhere where the customer service is much better and people who work for a living are able to receive the items they have paid for.

As I am considered to be out of area their system requires me to put a whole week on hold until I am told only the week before when they will deign to deliver my sofa - with zero flexibility!!
What business, large or small, is not able to arrange a specific delivery date in this day and age? None that wish to continue in business.
When I made this point I was told that 'the system worked for them' and that I should feel sympathy for the lorry driver who would spend his/her whole week away from home.

They arrived at the agreed time and placed the furniture exactly where we wanted it
They were helpful and ensured that we were satisfied before leaving
The furniture is first class, the service and support was professional and the delivery experience was above expectations
