the product did its job and was decent value, but the delays and poor updates left a sour taste.
Underwhelming upgrade
I wasn't sure whether the Shure 315s would actually be better than my old 215s, so I hesitated before buying. That doubt didn't vanish — the sound seemed dull and less defined compared with the 215s, so I ended up testing them with my own eartips/cable from the 215s for hygiene reasons. I told the seller I wanted a refund and made clear I hadn't used their sealed earbuds, but they stuck to their terms and refused, saying any testing of the supplied buds voids returns. They clearly ignored the fact I used my own bits. I've had more helpful returns elsewhere, so this felt needlessly defensive. Annoying, but at least the facts are clear.
Nearly right, but the refund rule spoiled it
they refused a cash refund and said I had to spend the difference in store. I’m 75, why would I suddenly need more gear? Customer Services just shrugged and called it policy. Sound and keyboard are fine, but the refund and a later than expected delivery left me miffed.
Lefty players, take care
balanced, frets smooth, easy to move around the neck. Another was heavier than I expected and the action needed adjusting. Little things, really. What made it worse was the service. When I asked if someone could list what they had, the reply was basically “no” and then, wildly, a suggestion I should just play right‑handed instead. Not helpful. So the playing experience was mixed — some guitars felt great, others less so — and the staff didn’t make it easier. If you’re left‑handed, ring ahead and be specific about models. Bring a friend if you can. It’s a shame, because there’s potential there. With clearer stock info and a bit more interest from staff this could be a proper spot for lefties. For now I’m cautious but not completely put off.
Quite handy, with a few quirks
a minor glitch with calendar syncing once, but it sorted itself after a quick message to support. Overall I felt comfortable using it. It’s practical and mostly reliable. I’d recommend it, but go in knowing there are little admin bits to handle on your own. I was pleased, if a bit cautious.
Quietly odd transition
wary at first, then pleasantly surprised by how the kit actually performs. Delivery and ordering had a couple of small hiccups but nothing major.
Guitar amplifier
As someone who's been around the music scene for a while, I was on the lookout for a new guitar amp and figured I'd check out this store. Boss 600
I popped into PMT Bristol and the staff were really helpful in assisting me with choosing a Boss 600. They were clued up about loopers, harmonisers, and IEMs, and even sent me an email afterwards with all the details. I ended up purchasing the Boss 600 online and it was a breeze, with free postage for a quick 4-day delivery - I'm excited to start using it!
Gigcaster 8 for £500
I bought a Gigcaster 8 from this shop for £500 recently. The delivery was quick, but when it arrived, I was disappointed to see that it wasn't working properly. I got in touch with the manufacturer online and spent three hours fixing the problems on my own. It turned out that I had actually bought a BStock item, which explained why it was not up to scratch. I didn't think the way the store handled my concerns was great, especially given how much I paid for it.

Electro-acoustic guitar
I popped into PMT the other day to pick up an electro-acoustic guitar and I must say, the service I received from the staff member in Bristol was top-notch. Even though I'm a beginner and well into my seventies, he really knew his stuff and helped me pick out the perfect guitar based on my preferences. He pointed me towards a Tanglewood "parlour-sized" sunburst mahogany guitar, which I absolutely adore because it has a similar low action to my trusty Stratocaster. I was in and out of the shop in no time at all, which made the whole experience super easy and quick. I really appreciate all the great service and advice I got from the staff member at PMT in Bristol.

I recently bought some gear and it was a brilliant experience. The shop had loads of different products to pick from and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Whether I'm in the shop or online, it's always a positive experience.

After looking at a few things, I managed to find exactly what I was after pretty easily. And paying for it was a breeze too, the whole checkout thing was quick and simple. Now I just have to sit tight and hope that my order comes soon. Hopefully it won't take ages to get here!
