Music production tools
Splice is the place to go if you're after some great music production tools. They've got everything from music samples to plug-ins, and even lessons. One thing I thought was really cool was their Rent-to-Own system, which lets you try out plug-ins and software before you commit. I recently started renting Serum, and it's been amazing. I can already see it becoming a key part of my music production setup.
Not only are the music samples top quality, but they also cover a wide range of genres that really get my creative juices flowing. Whether I'm experimenting with Progressive Rock, Metal, Djent, Jazz & Modern Fusion, Math Rock, or getting lost in the chill vibes of Lo-Fi, Lo-Fi Hip Hop, and Chillhop, Splice has me sorted.

I was really let down by the templates I bought at this place not long ago. I thought they would have everything I needed to use them easily in my DAW, but that wasn't the case at all. It's annoying that they assume I haven't already checked their support pages before contacting them for help. I've been waiting for over two weeks to get my ongoing syncing problems sorted out, and I've reached my limit. It's time to say farewell to this mediocre service and start searching for a better alternative.
High-quality sound FX
I mean, the sound effects library is really great and handy for spicing up your music. But, the desktop software is a complete nightmare on older systems like OS10.14 on Mac. It's basically like having a fancy Ferrari engine in an old, beat-up car - what's the use?
Expensive for international customers
The prices at Splice are a big turn-off for customers in countries outside the US, especially in the east. It's just too expensive for a lot of people, especially when there are other options like using Audacity to grab samples.

Oh my gosh, this thing is amazing for creating music. They keep releasing new beats and guitar sounds. I'm totally hooked on it!
Soundbytes download failure
I bought some sound clips from this website not long ago, but I was really let down by the service. I had trouble downloading a lot of the sound clips I wanted, and my credits were taken away anyway. I tried to get help from customer service, but no one got back to me. It even looked like my messages and chats were being deleted. The whole thing left me feeling really annoyed and not happy at all with how things turned out.
