    Polite customer service

    The customer service person I spoke with was a real delight, unlike the usual automated responses I get from other companies. She really took the time to listen to my queries and gave me detailed and useful answers. I liked that she didn't hurry through our chat and made me feel important as a customer. Her clear way of speaking made it simple for me to grasp everything she said, which I always appreciate. In general, my personal experience with the customer service at this company was fantastic and made me feel content and well looked after.

    As a Gold member of this travel company, I've had really good experiences when booking and going on their trips. The staff has always been really helpful and friendly when I get in touch to organise our holidays. Whether I have questions about the details of our trips or need help with booking, the staff has always been patient and informative, making me feel relaxed throughout. It's great to have such dedicated and helpful people on the other end of the phone, making sure our travel plans are taken care of professionally and with care.

    I've got to say, my experience with this company wasn't all smooth sailing. When I tried to buy my train tickets, I hit a snag with the payment. It was pretty annoying, not knowing for sure if I'd paid or not. It turned out there was a mix-up between the company and my bank, with the bank asking for an extra security check the first time, which wasn't necessary the second time. It was a bit of a pain, but I did eventually manage to buy my tickets successfully on the second try.

    River cruise booking

    I've just booked myself a river cruise and decided to travel by train instead of flying so I can take in the beautiful European scenery. The staff were really helpful in helping me choose the perfect cruise for what I wanted. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that they can transport my 25kg suitcase straight from my home to the boat. Even though it's still over a year until the cruise, my overall experience with the company has been absolutely fantastic.

    Eurostar booking disappointment

    I just booked a train journey with this company and found the booking process to be pretty straightforward. However, I was a bit gutted when I couldn't snag a Premium ticket on the Eurostar because they said they were all taken by Great Rail Journeys. I was happy to fork out the extra cash for the upgrade, so I don't get why they couldn't just sell me a couple more tickets. It was a bummer because I was really looking forward to that experience.

    River cruise booking

    I've just booked a river cruise and I have to say, I was really impressed with the level of knowledge and expertise Adele displayed.     It was absolutely brilliant that our holiday was really well-organised and everything went without a hitch. We had a tour manager who filled us in every day, so we didn't have to stress about anything. The guide we had in Norwich was fantastic and we picked up loads of interesting facts about the place. We took part in loads of enjoyable activities during the tour and even had some free time to do our own thing.

    Northern Lights and Lapland trip on 10 March 2025

    What we actually booked was different to what we were expecting. We really wanted to stay on the Lofoten Islands in Svolvear, not in Stokmarkness. When we phoned up to try and fix this, they told us that the trip on 10th March would cost an extra £200 per person, but at least it would stay on the Lofoten Islands, so we reluctantly agreed to that. However, when we got the booking confirmation, we were disappointed to see that we were still booked to stay in Stokmarkness. We tried to sort this out over the phone, but our calls were ignored and eventually just cut off. On top of that, the opening times on the website weren't matching up with our attempts to contact the customer service team. The only good thing about this whole mess was Paul from the sales team, who did his best to help us out. All in all, this has been a real letdown, especially after the great trips we've had with this company before.

    I had an amazing time on this train journey, it was absolutely incredible! The views from the train windows were like scenes from a movie. The staff were really lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. I'm really excited to see what the rest of the trip has in store, especially looking forward to the additional perks in the UK like the train and hotel.

    Rhine River cruise

    The Rhine River cruise was really well organised and enjoyable. It was our second holiday with this travel company and everything went so smoothly, from the transfer of our luggage with Baggage Man to the amazing crew on the Amadeus Star. The food was especially delicious, and the cruise director was fantastic. We also had a great time on the local excursions.

    My recent experience with booking a trip was really annoying due to some outdated procedures. They asked me to fill out a form with my details, but I couldn't change any names that were already entered. So, I had to call them up just to sort it out, which was a real pain and a waste of my time. It's a shame that they didn't have something as simple as the ability to edit the details. It definitely left me feeling pretty frustrated and not very happy as their customer.

    Rhine Cruise booking

    The booking process went really well, the agent was really helpful and gave us all the info we needed. There were a couple of questions they couldn't answer right away, but they got back to us quickly with all the details. Me and three others, two couples in total, have booked a Rhine Cruise for next May.
