Ski trip
We weren't happy that our train was delayed until 2:30pm, it was frustrating. And to make matters worse, we requested some fruit but it never arrived, except for one lonely banana in the pack lunch. We definitely won't choose them again for our future trips.
Ski Chalet Booking
I booked a ski chalet with Skiworld and thought it would be amazing, but it was a huge disappointment. It wasn't what I was expecting at all - just an apartment in a block with four small rooms that had to share a lounge, kitchen, and a sauna. It was definitely not the fancy 4-star chalet they promised. Before our trip, I had to call Skiworld multiple times just to get our booking details right. When we arrived, the towels were never changed, sauna towels were missing, the food wasn't great, and the staff had no idea what to do when the fire alarm went off. The bathrooms were really dirty, bins were overflowing, and they didn't even bother with a Christmas tree before the big day. It was the worst ski company I've ever dealt with, it really disappointed me and I won't be booking with them again.
Lovely holiday, fabulous food and chalet
The holiday was absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious, and the hosts were really friendly. The chalet was brilliant - so cosy and comfortable. The only downside was the chaos at the airport when we were heading back, and I think I caught a cold from our chalet host. Despite that, it was a brilliant holiday overall!
Ski holiday experience
My ski holiday was a bit of a letdown, to be honest. There was no WiFi, the ski slopes were far away, the hot tub was freezing, and they hardly ever changed the towels. Not to mention, the chalet girl went missing without a replacement all day, which was really not on. The only good thing was the decent food, but even the canapés were only served once. It just wasn't the best experience I've had.
Holiday booking
My holiday was amazing! I had such a great time skiing and making snow angels. But then, after the holiday, I had to deal with the worst customer service ever! Our flight got cancelled (which wasn't the holiday company's fault) and we were told we could book our own travel and get reimbursed - except that never happened. They didn't reply to my emails and were no help on the phone. All I want is my money back for the flight that we didn't even take!
Cancelled ski trip
My ski trip got cancelled in March and I asked for a refund, but they only offered me a credit note. I didn't want that, so I had to do a chargeback on my Tesco credit card. It took ages (14 weeks!) but finally got my money back. The communication was super bad and they were being dishonest.
Cancelled ski holiday refund
It's been eight weeks since my ski trip to Val Thorens got cancelled on the 21st of March, and I still haven't got my refund from Skiworld. I've complained to the CMA and now I'm counting on Barclaycard section 75 to help out. If that doesn't work, I won't think twice about taking them to court. Skiworld, you're not winning any brownie points by hanging onto our cash.
Holiday cancellation refund
I've booked a holiday for mid-April that got cancelled in mid-March. I've been waiting for a refund ever since. The holiday was arranged through a third-party agent, which has just made things more annoying. At first, they said no refunds were an option, but now they're saying I'll get a refund credit voucher instead. The messages have been all mixed up and conflicting, making me quite upset. I'd suggest steering clear of booking with them in the future.
Recently booked a chalet for skiing
I recently booked a chalet with them, but it didn't live up to my expectations. The meals were just reheated from frozen and nothing exceptional. And the lack of tea and coffee at breakfast was disappointing - I had to make my own, can you believe it? To top it off, we had to share a tiny cafetière between all of us! The towels provided were very basic, with only one per person for the whole week, and they didn't even bother to change them. Additionally, they didn't clean our room at all! The dinner portion sizes were so small that I was still hungry after each meal. Afternoon tea and cake felt like a tease because they would take it away before everyone had a chance to enjoy it. Finally, the staff didn't seem interested in engaging with us at all. Such a letdown.
Lengthy transfer, missed flight
My journey took a lot longer than expected - it ended up being 8 hours instead of the 3 hours I was told it would be. To make matters worse, the coach I was on didn't even have a toilet. Missing my flight on the way back because of traffic was really frustrating and just not on. But fair play to the airport representatives, they did a good job of letting us know what was going on and sorting out new flights for us.
Family Ski Holiday
We've just come back from a brilliant family ski trip! The chalet we stayed in at Les Arcs was absolutely spot on - lovely hosts, delicious food, and everything was so well-organised thanks to SkiWorld. The only hiccup we had was a longer walk to the chalet because of a flooded path, but that wasn't SkiWorld's fault at all.
Skiing holiday booking
I booked a skiing holiday 6 weeks ago, and in general, it was a decent experience. The place we stayed at was alright and didn't cost too much, which was what I wanted. However, there were definitely some things that could have been better. I had some trouble sorting out ski carriage through their website, so I had to ring up Customer Services. They were helpful, but it took them more than 24 hours to confirm if we could bring our skis after I'd already booked and paid for everything.
When we got to Birmingham for the check-in, it was a bit of a mess with long queues and staff moving people around instead of just opening more desks. And then when we arrived in Grenoble, it was chaotic trying to find the Skiworld rep and figure out which bus we were supposed to take. Some of the ski reps couldn't even speak basic Franglais properly at the end of the season!
To put the cherry on top, our flight back from Grenoble was delayed by 6 hours because of bad weather, and we weren't told how long the delay was going to be.
Despite all that, I might consider booking with them again, but they really need to sort out their website and how they communicate with customers. They should also work with Jet2 to make the check-in process at Birmingham a lot smoother.Catered chalet holiday
I recently went on a catered chalet holiday with Skiworld and I thought it was alright, but not as fantastic as it has been in the past. The food was still delicious, but they have reduced the number of nights they offer dinner and the portions were smaller this year. The hosts were friendly, however, they didn't seem very informed or helpful. The rooms were not cleaned every day and there was no towel change. Overall, it was still an enjoyable holiday but not as good value as it was before.
Ski holiday booking and chalet experience
My time with Skiworld was pretty good in general. Sorting everything out was easy, and I could easily get hold of the agents by phone when I needed to. The chalet I stayed in was really nice, and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. But, I was a bit let down by the food. It seemed a bit low quality compared to other chalets I've been to, and the fact that most of it was made somewhere else and then brought in frozen wasn't great. I have to say, the frozen churros were especially disappointing - they didn't taste good and didn't look very appetising either.
Chalet Accommodation
Our cabin at Pere Joseph 2 was a massive let-down. The room they gave us was more suitable for kids under 10, so the two of us adults kept bumping into each other. We complained about a broken bed, but it was never fixed, so my daughter had to prop it against another to stop from falling out. The lounge only had enough seats for 5 people, not the 12 they promised, so there was never enough space to sit. The so-called heated ski locker was just an outdoor cupboard, which couldn't fit all our skis like they said. The food was awful - it tasted frozen and reheated, with lukewarm meals and fruit that was inedible. The place wasn't very clean either, with bins left full and sinks all dirty. To top it all off, the Skiworld staff didn't know much about the resort and acted unprofessionally. All in all, it was a total let down.
Ski booking experience
Skiworld really wowed us with their amazing customer service, especially from the superstar Ameera. We made a mistake in our booking, but Skiworld responded quickly, understood our issue, and found a solution that impressed us. Ameera's professionalism, patience, and dedication to making customers happy went above and beyond, turning a potentially frustrating situation into a positive experience. Skiworld's commitment to solving problems efficiently shows they care about providing a smooth experience for their customers. Ameera's expertise and willingness to help, along with clear communication, showcased Skiworld's top-notch customer service. We're already impressed and confident in Skiworld's excellent service as we look forward to our upcoming skiing trip.
Cancelled holiday, no refund
I was really looking forward to my ski trip with Skiworld, but they ended up cancelling it on me. I tried to get a refund, but they were impossible to get hold of and completely ignored me. Instead, they offered me a credit note for a future holiday with them, as if that could make up for the disappointment of my cancelled trip. Not cool, Skiworld, not cool at all.
Catered chalet plant-based food supplement
During my recent trip to a catered chalet in Val Thorens with a group of 17 friends, I had a pretty disappointing experience with the plant-based food options. I had to pay an extra £29 for the plant-based meals, only to be served meals that were not up to scratch and definitely not worth the money. The staff didn't seem very knowledgeable about the menu options or dietary requirements, which made things even more frustrating. It was a bit of a nightmare food-wise. The best meals I had were on the two nights when the staff were off duty and I had to cook my own food. After I complained though, I did manage to get a refund for the subpar service.
Ski equipment rental complaint
I had a bit of a rubbish time with the ski equipment rental company that this organisation uses. The line to get our gear was way too long, lasting a stressful two hours, and the people in the shop were really rude and didn't seem to care if the equipment fit properly. I tried to contact Skiworld by email to talk about my worries, but unfortunately, I never got a reply, even now. It's pretty clear that looking after customers isn't something they're bothered about.
Ski holiday at Chalet Gemini
My recent skiing trip to Chalet Gemini was absolutely fantastic. The host went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and were comfortable in our stay. The process for getting our ski passes was quick and easy, and sorting out our ski hire was a breeze. The only thing I would say is that it would be even better if we could fly from Birmingham/East Midlands to Chambery rather than Grenoble or Geneva.
