I recently bought a policy online, but then I decided I wanted to pay for it all in one go, instead of through monthly direct debits. Unfortunately, the website didn't offer that option. So, I gave customer service a ring and got through to a chap called Akeel. He was really helpful and polite. Akeel not only sorted out my one-time payment but also cancelled the credit agreement that the website had sneakily set up. He took the time to walk me through the next steps and made sure I knew there wouldn't be any sneaky auto-renewal next year. Instead, I'll get a renewal quote 21 days before my policy ends. This kind of transparency and great customer service was a breath of fresh air compared to other companies who just go ahead and renew without asking. All in all, I got exactly what I needed with a friendly and helpful voice on the other end of the line.

So, just a heads up - be careful of going for the cheapest quote, as it could end up costing you your peace of mind and the safety of your property.

The guy I spoke to at Simply Business was really annoying. Every time I tried to jump in or ask a question, he had to start from the beginning, which made things drag on. I was in a hurry too, so it really got on my nerves. He also kept going on about stuff that had nothing to do with what I actually needed. Like, he was talking about setting up auto-renewal for a year ahead, when I only needed insurance for a few months. It was just a waste of time for both of us, to be honest. I was not happy with how it all went down.

I got a renewal quote for my insurance from this company, but then I saw that I could get it for £100 cheaper by asking for a new quote online. I got in touch with them to check and the quotes were exactly the same. So, I decided to cancel the renewal and go for the new quote. However, I had to wait for a refund of the £100 as they had already taken the renewal fee from my bank account.

Insurance Claim Dispute
I had a bit of a disagreement with my insurance company not too long ago, and it really left me feeling fed up and let down. I'd been with them for ages, but when it came time to claim on my policy, it felt like they were doing everything they could to wriggle out of it. The whole thing dragged on for months, and it seemed like they were just trying to grind me down until I gave in. Even when it was obvious that my claim was valid, they managed to find all sorts of ways to stall and reject it. The way they handled everything was so shady and unfair, it left a bad taste in my mouth. In the end, I decided to bin off my policy and take my complaint to the legal ombudsman.
