    Van hire for travel to France

    I hired a van for a trip to France and back recently. The van was in top condition, just what I needed for my journey. But what really impressed me was the amazing customer service I got from one of the staff members. She was so friendly, helpful, and efficient. Her name was Michelle, and she made sure I had the right vehicle and even arranged for me to pick it up earlier than I had planned so I could catch the ferry on time. I was really impressed with how professional and attentive she was. I will definitely be using this company again for my next van or car hire.

    Car rental experience at the airport

    I hired a car from this place not long ago and I must say, it was a pretty good experience on the whole. The guy who helped me out, Gerry, was a really nice bloke and he even gave me a free upgrade because it happened to be my birthday. Although, I was a bit taken aback when I found out that the insurance price was worked out on a daily basis rather than for the whole time I had the car, which meant my bill was a bit higher than I was expecting. Despite that, the car itself was top-notch - it was clean, in great condition, and easy to drive during the time I had it.

    Car rental experience

    I had a really good experience with the car rental service at the Manchester airport depot. Joel, the staff member, was really friendly and the car was spotless. Overall, it was a positive experience and I would definitely think about using this service again. The only problem was with the roadside assistance telephone number. It was a toll-free number for the U.K., which is great if you're local, but if you're an international customer like me, the number won't be any help.

    BEST CAR RENTAL SERVICES -totally recommended

    I got best quotes from here for car rental services, my friend eric recommended me. we need it to attend a friend's weddling outskirts of city. we were 4 friends, it got too easy to divide the already cheap and best quote into 4 parts
    WE just made it on time, enjoyed the wedding
    but best part was the road trip.. thanks to europcar !!
    they have pick-up facilities, various car models to choose upon according to ones comfort
    We have choosen a jeep safari..

    Crossover SUV rental

    I tried to hire a crossover SUV online, but when I arrived at the airport, they informed me that it was an electric vehicle! I didn't fancy an EV as I needed to cover some distance. They did offer to switch to a petrol car, but it came with an additional cost. In the end, I had to fork out an extra $1400 for my 2-week rental! I felt completely taken advantage of in a foreign land due to this situation. I won't be using their services again, and I don't think anyone else should either.

    Van rental booking

    I was really disappointed with the van rental experience from this company. I had booked a Renault Traffic van 18 hours beforehand, but then I got a call saying there were no vans available. It was really unprofessional and incompetent, which I found unacceptable. It messed up my plans and my budget. I had counted on everything going smoothly with the rental, but it all fell apart at the last minute.

    Edinburgh Airport (Andrew)

    I popped over to Edinburgh Airport to pick up a car. I messed up my booking, but luckily Andrew was there to help me fix it in no time. The car we got was really nice, much better than I expected! Getting and returning the car was a breeze. Thanks to Andrew, our trip to Scotland for a funeral was a bit easier to handle. Looking forward to coming back!

    The customer service I got when I rented a car was really great. Jamie and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to help me out. Jamie even helped me plan some fun things to do around here, which I thought was a nice gesture. Overall, the service was excellent and the staff were amazing.

    Booking a car to go to my mum's funeral

    The car we wanted wasn't ready, so we had to wait for ages or pay a lot more for an upgrade. We couldn't stick around because we were heading to my mum's funeral. Definitely not pleased.

    Booked online, £90 for 4-day hire

    So yeah, at first everything seemed fine. I went online to book my car, paid up front, all was good. But then, there was a delay and I ended up waiting around for a while, so I thought I'd grab a snack at the airport. Eventually, when I finally got my car, they asked if I wanted to add another driver. I thought, why not? But then, suddenly they slapped an extra £75 onto my bill without even giving me a heads up! I was completely taken aback and definitely not pleased. If they had mentioned beforehand that it would cost so much to add someone else, I would have definitely declined! I checked all my documents and there was no mention of this additional charge. They really should be upfront about the costs from the get-go.

    Terrible van rental experience

    I had an awful time with this company, mate. I thought I booked a van online, but when I got there to pick it up, the place was closed! They then suggested a 7-seater that I had to get from a spot an hour away from me. Couldn't make it there on time, so had to sort out a lift from a mate last minute. It was a nightmare, mate - caused me extra stress and money!

    My experience with car rental was really disappointing. I reserved a car with basic insurance but when I got there, they convinced me to upgrade to premium insurance for a small extra cost. What I didn't realise was that this small fee was actually much higher than they first said. I felt like I'd been overcharged and tricked by the company. The fact that they weren't transparent and had surprise extra charges really annoyed me. So, I'd advise you to watch out for their tactics and make sure you check all the details before you agree to anything.

    Pre-ordered SUV for 12am pick-up

    I'm really disappointed with the service I got. I had booked an SUV for a 12am pick-up to begin my holiday, but when I got there, they told me they didn't have a car for me. The staff wanted me to wait 4 hours or pay more for an upgrade, but I couldn't do that because I had a tight schedule to catch a ferry. Because of their mistakes, I ended up missing out on my whole holiday. When I called customer service for help, the person I spoke to was no help at all and was quite rude. I asked to speak to a manager but they kept me on hold forever.

    Overcharged for cleaning fee

    Our time with this car rental company was really disappointing. We had a bit of sand in the boot when we returned the car, and was surprised to be slapped with a EUR135 cleaning charge. It seemed unfair because a quick vacuum would have done the trick in less than 5 minutes. But because we had a flight to catch, we had no other option but to pay up. It felt like they were taking advantage, especially since Europcar's website clearly says you don't need to clean the car before returning it. Overall, it was a letdown and left us feeling frustrated.

    Unpleasant experience with breakdown

    My recent experience with the car rental company left me feeling really disappointed. I made my booking through a third party, which meant that I didn't get the efficient service and support I needed when my car broke down. Getting a replacement car was a real pain – it took ages on the phone and the help I got was pretty useless. It would have been a lot better if they automatically sent a new car with Roadside Assistance.

    Then when I went to pick up the car at Manchester Airport, there weren't enough staff and I had to wait around for ages – unlike other rental companies there. Overall, it was a really unsatisfactory experience and it felt like my time was wasted for no reason.

    Dirty and smoky hire car

    The hire car we were given was a complete disappointment. It was absolutely filthy both inside and outside, reeking of smoke and ash. The driver who dropped it off even lit up another cigarette as soon as he stepped out of the car - which was a big no-no for us, as we don't smoke. Spent a good hour scrubbing and deodorising to try and get rid of the smell and mess.
    The fuel charge was a total rip-off, so definitely make sure to read all the fine print carefully. Even if they deliver the car to you, you'll somehow still need to figure out how far they travelled and how much fuel was used. We had the car for a long six weeks, and we were relieved to finally return it. The air conditioning didn't work, there were problems with the 12v battery, and the overall state of the car was dismal. The customer service was just as bad. Absolutely nothing to thank them for, and we certainly won't be using their services again.

    Hire car delivery delay

    I'm really disappointed with the service I got from the hire car company today. My car was picked up for repair and the insurance company organised for a hire car to be delivered by Europcar at 9am. However, it's now the end of the day and there's still no sign of the car. I don't know when I'll actually get it. Trying to contact the branch has been a nightmare, as it's nearly impossible to get through. When I did manage to get through after a 30-minute hold, I was abruptly cut off. There's been no communication from the company except for a text telling me we were booked for a car. This lack of professionalism and communication is simply not acceptable. I definitely won't be recommending this company to anyone.
