Car rental experience
My experience with the car rental service was really disappointing. When I arrived at the airport, they told me to take a shuttle to the office, but it never showed up even though there were other customers waiting too. I had to end up getting a taxi which cost me an extra £25, and they didn't mention this beforehand. When I finally got to the office, there was no one there at first to help me, which just added to the chaos. The car I had booked was only half full of fuel when it should have been full, which was an extra hassle after the stressful start. Not to mention, the price of around £200 for a week for a low-grade car seemed really expensive considering the poor service I received.
Rental car experience
Renting a car was a total nightmare for me. They wrongly charged me for a tiny chip on the windscreen that was already there when I got the car. I showed them proof but got no help at all, not from the folks at the rental place or from customer service. It's led to me having to deal with my credit card company now, which is taking up a lot of my time and is really getting on my nerves.
Previous bookings at the Northampton branch
I've booked with that branch a few times and had some good and bad experiences. Once I needed a car urgently and they really pulled out all the stops to help me out, proving they care about customer satisfaction. But sometimes they struggle with timing. The staff are really nice and helpful, but being on time seems to trip them up. On the whole, they're a friendly bunch who are keen to sort out any issues that come up.
Poor booking experience
I tried to book a rental vehicle online to help with my move. I paid and got a confirmation, but then they said it wasn't actually confirmed and their insurance wouldn't cover me. This messed up my plans and left me without the vehicle I needed. I also found out they don't cover the BL6 area of Bolton because they say it's part of Chorley. The lack of clear communication was annoying and made the whole experience pretty bad.
Great service at the local car rental place
The staff were really friendly and helped us choose the perfect car for our trip. They even gave us some great recommendations for places to visit while on holiday. We will definitely be returning next time we require a car.
Urgent hire-car on bank holiday
I needed to rent a car last minute over a bank holiday weekend and the staff at the Poole branch were absolutely brilliant. They were so friendly and really went out of their way to help me with everything I needed. The car they gave me was in great condition and had everything I was looking for. I was really impressed by how professional and efficient the staff were.
Booking car for 8th June
I've just arranged to pick up our next car on the 8th of June, gave them a call first thing down at the place in Doncaster. The lady there was really helpful, just like always, and so professional. Really looking forward to picking up the car on the eighth and then again in four weeks. We've been going to this place for the past 12 years and the staff and management always go the extra mile. It's always a pleasure dealing with them. Appreciate you being so great on the phone this morning when I couldn't access my app. Nothing was too much trouble at all. Six stars from me!
incorrect car rental booking
I had a dreadful time with the car rental service from this company. I had booked an automatic car through my insurance provider, but when I got to the branch in Oldham near Manchester, they didn't have any automatic cars available. No one had told me about this beforehand, so I had to return the next day only to be told the same thing again. LV insurance promised me that an automatic car would be brought in the afternoon, but it never showed up. The staff's lack of communication and complete arrogance was absolutely terrible.
Nine-seater one-way hire
I recently hired a nine-seater vehicle to travel from one airport to another. When I collected the vehicle from Glasgow airport, I made sure to take plenty of photos of any existing damage to protect myself from false claims. However, when I returned the vehicle to Manchester airport, I was faced with a report filled with lies. The report claimed that my group was in a hurry and couldn't inspect the vehicle properly, even though we had hotel accommodation booked for the evening. It also falsely accused us of damaging the wheel and breaking the seatbelt. After many calls, emails, and providing the photos I took at the beginning of the hire, they eventually dropped the unfair charges. To make things worse, they even said we didn't want to be contacted, which was completely false. Overall, I am very disappointed and feel that I was treated extremely poorly by this company.
Car hire due to collision
My experience with the car hire company hasn't been great. At first, they didn't communicate well, which made everything more stressful. They did deliver the car on time, but it wasn't what I expected. It was much smaller than my own car, so I couldn't fit my kids' seats or scooters in. Also, the seats were stained and the car smelt bad. When I asked for a different car, they didn't respond promptly. Eventually, they agreed to a swap, but at a time that didn't work for me. They said they had to give my original car to someone else. Now I'm stuck without a suitable car for the weekend, which is really inconvenient. If I was paying for this, I'd be asking for a refund by now.
My rental experience
My recent experience with the car replacement service really let me down. I was expecting to get a car similar to my own (a Mercedes E class) while mine was being fixed after an accident. However, when I got to Enterprise, all they had for me was an old Mitsubishi Outlander. It had problems with the heating and after a couple of days, they said they'd upgrade me to a BMW but ended up giving me a Mini Cooper. I tried to bring up my concerns but they never followed through with the compensation they promised.
Recent bad experience
So, I had a really long car hire because of a crash that wasn't my fault, and everything was going fine until the insurer started to act really dodgy. I informed the car hire place about some modifications on the camper van (which actually turned out to be no modifications at all), and they totally overreacted and took back the rental without even informing me immediately. Then they were like, "Return the car now!" even though I was following all the rules. It was a disaster. Thankfully, the tech team eventually sorted everything out after a lot of waiting and stress, and shoutout to Tayla for actually helping me. But the branch manager, Qasim, was a complete mess and wouldn't give me another car while they sorted things out - even though it was all covered by insurance and I had evidence from the beginning. Communication between the insurer and the hire company was a disaster, and I was stuck without a way to get to work for weeks. Ugh.
Car rental experience
My recent car rental was a bit of a nightmare, to be honest. The first car they gave me ended up breaking down just 12 hours after I got it, so I had to get it towed. The second car worked fine, but it reeked of cigarettes and the washer fluid tank was completely empty. The third car was a plug-in hybrid, but it didn't have the charging cables I needed, and the rear tires were so worn down it was actually illegal to drive on them. On top of all that, I was told I'd get a call from the manager but never did. Now they're hounding me to pay for the missing charging cables. It's been a total mess and really makes me wonder how they check their cars at that place.
Issue with Chingford branch
I recently had a pretty bad experience with the Chingford branch of a car rental company. The person I spoke to on the phone wasn't very competent and even threatened me with debt collection. What really annoyed me was that they didn't tell me when I had to return the rented car. My car was in an accident and written off, so they gave me a courtesy car. However, they didn't get all the important info from the insurance company, which caused a big mess in communication. When I tried to get in touch with them, the rep said they'd been trying to call me all day, but that wasn't true at all. Their unprofessional behaviour and lying really shocked me. It's clear they don't have the right customer service skills and professionalism you'd expect from a good company.
Car rental
I had an absolutely shocking experience with this rental company. The customer service was terrible - unprofessional, untrained, and downright juvenile. It's unbelievable that they claim to provide any form of service to customers. Instead of fixing their mistakes, they chose to ignore emails, hang up during phone calls, or not respond at all. Their behaviour was appalling.
Cheap Transit van hire
Renting a Transit van from this company was absolutely ridiculous. The staff at the Kirkcaldy branch were nice enough, but they really tried their luck pushing the extra insurance on me. They told me I'd have to fork out a massive £2000 for any damage to the van bigger than the tiniest tool or scratch they pointed out. This included things like stone chips and tyre damage on the side walls. They didn't even explain that this money would be returned after repairs if needed - surely that's just daylight robbery! On top of the crazy excess, they had pricey options for extra insurance to bring it down to a more reasonable £250, almost the same price as hiring the van in the first place. It seems like a sneaky way to squeeze more cash out of unsuspecting customers. And to top it off, the van was nearly empty on fuel when I got it, and had a faint smell of cigarettes inside. The driving itself was fine, but I spent the whole day stressing about the whopping £2000 excess - even a little fender-bender could break the bank. Needless to say, I won't be going back to this company.
Billing issue, poor customer service, car condition
I've just had a really disappointing time with this car rental service. Firstly, they messed up my bill and took money out of my account wrongly, causing me a load of stress and hassle. The customer service I got was pretty rubbish, with the staff not talking to each other properly, making the whole thing really frustrating. And on top of that, the car I hired wasn't in the condition I was hoping for, making me even more unhappy. All in all, I'd tell anyone to steer clear of this service, especially if you're dealing with insurance.
Rental van booking
My experience with this rental company was absolutely terrible. I rented a van in a hurry after my father passed away, but they didn't have the one I booked. The replacement they offered was a mess - dirty and stinky of cannabis, which made things even worse. I had to take it anyways as I needed to get to my father's house that day. When I returned it, I was shocked to see a £500 charge for damages I was never told about. I requested to see the CCTV footage to prove the van wasn't checked properly before I got it, but they never sent it over. To make things worse, when I complained, all they said was that my payment couldn't be refunded.
Van hire
I hired a van for the day and it was really easy, all thanks to the friendly team at the place in Ilford. They were so nice and made the whole process a breeze. Driving around in the van, getting things done, made me feel like a proper grown-up.
Rental experience at Kingsbury North London branch
I had a really awful experience renting a car from the Kingsbury branch in North London. I've been using this company for ages and usually have good experiences, especially at the airport branches. But this time, dealing with the Kingsbury branch was a total nightmare. The manager there was no help at all, and the assistant manager, Alexander O'Connor, was even worse.
