I've just had a really bad time with this insurance company I used for my coverage. Being an expat who travels a lot, I thought they'd be great but I was really let down. My experience with my expat insurance in China has been absolutely awful. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company at all costs. Unlike other insurance providers, they don't offer direct billing with major clinics. This means you have to pay your insurance premiums to Foyer first, then pay separately for any clinic invoices, and only after that can you submit your claim for reimbursement. It's such a frustrating and time-consuming process. When I submitted my invoices, I got an automatic reply saying my claim would be processed soon. But weeks passed with no response and no way to check on progress. Every time I contacted the claims email, I got the same automated reply. And when I tried messaging them on WhatsApp, the clerk would read my messages and then ignore them. I really wish I had read reviews before going with Foyer for my insurance, I would have definitely stayed away.

I was really let down by this health insurance company. The whole experience was a complete nightmare. Even though I've been paying my premiums every month without fail, I haven't got any money back for the medical bills I've paid. Recent experience with claims process
I recently had to go through the claims process and honestly, it was a nightmare. Foyer's requirements for documentation are so specific and demanding that it just makes things unnecessarily difficult for customers. After I submitted a claim, all I got was an automated response that just clogged up my inbox. Then, when it got rejected, I was sent two attachments - one of which was totally unnecessary, and the other telling me what additional documents I needed. But, this information was in a separate email thread, which made it confusing and inconvenient to follow. The references they gave for the claim didn't really make things any easier, and Foyer took at least two weeks to get back to me after I first made the claim. Dealing with the whole claims process has been way more stressful and frustrating than it needed to be.
