European Breakdown cover
I recently bought European Breakdown cover for a one-off trip with this company. Unfortunately, when my car broke down in France and I got in touch with them for help, I was surprised to find out that I wasn't covered because I hadn't told them about my trip to Europe beforehand. It seems that even if you get cover for a single trip to Europe, you need to specifically inform the company about your travel plans, which I think is quite deceptive and a way for the company to get out of helping their customers. I wouldn't recommend this company for European Breakdown cover and would suggest going with a more reputable provider that is open and honest about their coverage policies.
Quick and efficient breakdown cover purchase
Buying breakdown cover was really easy and quick. I chatted with Samantha, who was really helpful and gave me all the info I needed. I was happy to find out they give extra discounts for loyal customers, which was a nice bonus. All in all, I'm really pleased with the service and hope they keep it up.
Quick resolution on live chat
Even though I got a bit annoyed about not being able to have a chat on the phone, I managed to get my question sorted out quickly through live chat. The person helping me was really useful and knew their stuff, giving me all the info I needed there and then. All in all, I was pretty happy with how it turned out, even though it was a bit annoying at first.
Breakdown cover claim rejection
I had a bit of a nightmare with my breakdown cover company recently. We were on holiday in the Lake District and had to make a claim, but they turned it down. I thought I had checked everything beforehand, but I guess I missed the deadline for making the claim. It was a total nightmare - me and the kids were left stuck, which was a massive pain and really annoying. I felt really disappointed in the company and started to wonder why I was paying for cover if they weren't going to help when we needed it most.

I wasn't sure about getting breakdown cover at first, but I thought I'd give it a go. I'm absolutely fuming about the breakdown cover I signed up for. They basically abandoned me and my kids, I had to practically beg for help before they even did anything! I was stuck on hold for what felt like an eternity and when I tried to chase them up, no one bothered to pick up so I had to fork out money for someone else to come to my rescue. I'm seething with anger that I've had to take the time to write this review just to make sure others know to steer clear of Nova.

I had a little problem with my policy details, but Samantha was great at sorting out my mistake. She knew her stuff and was really patient, sorting everything out quickly for me. I really appreciate the top customer service and how she paid attention to all the details.
Quick quote, easy to understand terms
I really liked how easy it was to get a quote on this site. I could see exactly what I was getting and what was included. The website was user-friendly, I didn't need to ask my mum for help. Also, the price was reasonable for what I was getting, so I thought it was a good deal.

This company is a total nightmare to deal with. They do everything they can to avoid paying out and it's so difficult to get in touch with the claims team. I had to jump through so many unnecessary hoops just to make a claim for my gadget, like providing police reports that the police don't even issue and asking for my phone to be blacklisted, which reputable companies like o2, mobile phones direct, and apple said not to do. I even had to get a loss report at my own cost and pay an excess. In the end, they offered me a really low amount for my phone. I would definitely recommend avoiding this company at all costs!

Short term European breakdown policy
I recently bought a European breakdown cover for a 5-day trip I had planned. Unfortunately, my car broke down during the trip, so I got in touch with the company for help. Despite them saying that I was covered by my policy, they refused to send help as I hadn't told them about my travel plans beforehand. So, I was left stranded on a major motorway in a foreign country with no help at all. I haven't heard anything from the company since. It seems like I'm not the only one who's had problems like this with them, as other reviews suggest it might be a scam. I'd be careful if you're thinking of using their services.
Efficient customer service experience
I had a really good experience with the customer service rep. They knew what they were talking about and sorted out my problem fast. I was really impressed with how efficient and professional they were. I would definitely suggest their service to anyone who needs help.
Weekend trip breakdown cover policy
I bought insurance for a weekend trip to France so I wouldn't have to worry if something went wrong with my car. But, when my handbrake failed just as we were setting off, the company said they couldn't help because my policy had supposedly ended. Even though I had paid for the whole weekend, they claimed it only covered us until lunchtime on the final day. That left me, my partner, and our two young kids stuck in France with no way to get back and we missed our ferry. The lack of support and clear information in their policy was really disappointing and annoying. We had to find a mechanic ourselves and deal with all the stress and hassle of the situation, and all this happened while we were in a foreign country with no help from the breakdown company.
BREAKDOWN COVER
This company and the people working for this company do not have a shred of decency. They will find any excuse to left you stranded and then you are in the hands of random garages that will cost you a fortune.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
I was with them for years and I needed them only once in an extremely dangerous situation. Appalling and disgusting service! They pointed out disclaimers and small letters that no one reads! You think they cover you but they don't!Breakdown
If I could give 0 I would. My young son broke down on the M1, on a section of smart motorway with a flat tyre. He had breakdown cover with Nova, called them, the person on the phone didn’t know where the M1 was, despite explaining it was the major trunk road. They were given exact location and all details, and just put the phone down. Appalling service. Never use these people

They took money out of my account in error. They quickly admitted this but after 11 weeks nearly 20 contacts with the company, they have still not paid me it back.
Nova Direct breakdown cover
Never use them, I called to replace a flat tire, a woman alone on a dangerous road, and after taking half an hour to even answer the phone they said they would not come as the tyre had hit a rock on the road, thus was therefore a collision and not covered. This is not breakdown insurance it is a scam.
