Not great overall. Bought after a mate recommended it and I saw it in their shop. Style's nice and looked good, but after a few wears the back seam gave way — disappointing for the price.
Men's range slipping
Not impressed, they've dropped zip hoodies and thick roll-necks, robes gone. Had better luck elsewhere; delivery okay, so I'm torn.
Sceptical, then won over
Halfway through unpacking I thought, oh here we go again — delayed courier, wrong box. But it wasn't that at all. Delivery was on time, well wrapped, and when I messaged customer service one quick reply sorted a small query about the zip. Bag's sturdy, see-through and does the job, and it's nice to see the jumpers without faffing about.
Thought I’d skip it
I nearly skipped it — seemed a bit pricey online — but the parcel arrived quickly and nicely packed, to be fair. Clothes feel proper quality, classic but fresh. Wish the sizing guide was clearer, otherwise pretty happy.
Vanished parcel
I was actually really pleased with the jumper — cosy and smart, perfect for work and lazy weekends — which made the rest proper frustrating. It was left in plain sight outside my flat and vanished, and Brora wouldn't replace or refund so I had to sort it through my card provider. Annoying, though the knit was lovely.
Reluctant at first
Sat at my kitchen table watching the tracking do nothing, I assumed they'd ignore me — and at first they did. Calls went unanswered, emails were boilerplate. I use the thing daily for work (lunchbox heating, small but essential), so I chased them. Eventually someone replied, sorted the delivery and I ended up reasonably pleased.
Saved my last-minute panic
On a drizzly morning I had a last-minute panic and was trying to pick a cashmere jumper online — colours looked odd and I couldn’t get to the Guildford shop. I rang them; a patient assistant sorted it and posted it same day, it arrived next morning. The knit is lovely, soft, doesn't itch and kept its shape after a few wears — surprised it became my go-to. A bit of faff online but great service.
Brief panic, happy ending
I was halfway through making my morning coffee when the seam on my new skirt gave up — honestly, one wear and a tiny jump and there was a hole. Proper facepalm. I thought I’d messed up with the size, phoned them and they sent a replacement without a row. The swap is a bit roomy but actually nice for school runs, popping to the shops and lazy office days. Still weird it split so fast, but glad they sorted it, saved me the faff.
Awkward cancellation and slow refund
someone said the system flagged a duplicate order, which wasn't true. The manager stuck to that story, not looking into it. Refund eventually arrived but far too slowly, so I was left out of pocket. I've had worse with other firms, and I'm glad it wasn't catastrophic, but it's clumsy and disappointing; delivery and support need sorting.
Halfway through the unpacking
good service this time, not brilliant value, and I’ll be more careful next time.
Decent kit, good aftercare
Overall, worth it — mainly because their customer service actually sorted the problem. I first spotted these wrist warmers after a mate showed them to me on a chilly dog walk, so I ordered without too much thought. By the time I'd worn them once, some inner stitching had started to come loose. I was going to try a quick DIY fix, but when Brora pinged me asking for feedback I thought I might as well mention it. They got in touch, asked me to send the pair back to their workshop and even sent prepaid postage. That was a nice surprise and saved me the faff. The warmers themselves are comfy and do the job, though the stitching failure was annoying. I’ve read others didn’t get the same help, so maybe it’s hit-or-miss, but my experience was handled well. I’ll keep them and hope the repair holds — fingers crossed for many cosy walks ahead.
A parcel that actually makes me smile
nothing shouty, just well made and a little clever in the cut. Packaging is neat too; there's a small pleasure in unwrapping a parcel that isn't just plastic shoved in. I've had rubbish experiences with fast-fashion returns that took ages, so it's refreshing to deal with a company that gets it right most of the time. Customer service has been calm and helpful when I've needed them, which I appreciate. I'm happy to support brands that make things here — it feels like buying a bit of craft as well as clothes, and yes, it usually makes me smile when the postie arrives.
Colour’s lovely, fabric isn’t
Opened the parcel on a grey morning and the colour immediately cheered me up — spot on, exactly what I wanted. I wore it the same day, only to notice in the living room light that the knit is almost see-through and the stitching feels a bit slapdash. Bought it about three weeks ago and at first glance it felt soft, then the seams started to worry me. It’s one of those pieces I keep because the shade goes with everything, but I’m wary whenever I wash it. Not ruined by any means, just a bit of a let‑down when you expect sturdier, more honest construction. If you want the colour and don’t mind being careful with it, fine; if you expect classic, long‑lasting quality, maybe give it a miss.
Tea, tracking and a slow reply
proper quality, good fit, worth the money for the pieces themselves. So my scepticism about the product faded, even if my faith in the shop’s service didn’t. If I were you, I’d buy but maybe brace yourself and keep copies of everything — and don’t expect fast, helpful replies.
Long coat, short patience
far too big and one coat sat well below my knees, basically ankle-length on me (I'm 5'2"). I sent them back. What annoyed me more than the bad fit was the review situation: I tried to post a straightforward note about the sizing to help others and it never appeared. No acknowledgement, no clear reason. Customer service handled the return but were slow and vague about the unpublished review, which feels like information is being curated rather than shared. So, useful delivery but the aftercare and transparency left me unimpressed. I'll probably look elsewhere next time.
Soft, not what I expected
Trying it on in the shop, I paused — that was the first real moment I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed. A mate had sent me a photo and said “go and try that,” so I wandered in on a dull afternoon and picked up the cardigan on a whim. It looked exactly like the picture, the knit was neat, and it felt pleasantly soft against my palm. I wore it home and thought, okay, this will do. That’s when the small doubts began, but then a surprising detail shifted things back into the positive.
Midway-through-moment
a little incentive for returning customers, like a percent off or free delivery sometimes, would be nice — makes repeat buying easier on the wallet. Oh, and yes, that day I found a white lace blouse in a charity shop and whoops, it was one of theirs; happy dance. If they ever open a shop in Winchester I’ll be even more tempted, but for now I’m happy I discovered what works for me.
Shopping experience
I had a really bad time shopping at the Bath store the other day. The sales assistants were quite unwelcoming and gave off a really negative vibe as soon as I walked in. They didn't seem bothered about helping customers and didn't even do simple things like smile or make eye contact. I was so put off by their attitude that I ended up not buying anything at all. I just couldn't get my head around why they would choose to work in retail when they clearly didn't like dealing with people. It was really disappointing to get such awful service, especially when there are other shops in Bath that are well-known for looking after customers so well.
Cashmere scarf purchase
I bought a lovely cashmere scarf for my wife's birthday recently. I was a bit worried at first about how long it would take to arrive, as it said 2-5 days for delivery. But when I got in touch with customer services, they were really quick to respond. They initially said it would take 3-5 days, but when I explained it was for a birthday gift, Jennifer went out of her way to make sure it arrived on time. The scarf is beautiful, the quality is top-notch, and the colour was just as described. I'm really impressed with both the product and the amazing customer service I received. I would definitely recommend this company for their high-quality British products and personalised service.
Recent cardigan purchase
I recently bought a cardigan from this brand and I'm disappointed to say that the quality has really gone downhill over the years. The cardigan I bought is supposed to be the same as one I've had for years, but the new one is just not as good. My old cardigan is still really soft, even after almost ten years of wearing it a lot, while the new one is thinner, itchier, and not as good quality. It's sad to see a brand I loved dropping in quality like this. What's worse is that the price hasn't gone down even though the quality is worse. The prices are too high for a product that isn't as good as it used to be. As someone who likes good quality items, it's a shame to see the brand lose its touch. I wanted to keep buying nice things from them, but it seems like I'll have to look elsewhere for better options.
About Brora
Cashmere is a sought after and expensive material, regularly utilized in very good quality dress and textile items. Cashmere is known for its softness quality delivering an elegant feel. It is from the delicate fleece under a layer of a cashmere goats coat. These fibres are of a very fine diameter which is the reason cashmere feels so delicate. It is a high loft fibre which converts into an elegant, lavish texture with a sleek feel. When appropriately taken care of, cashmere really gets milder with age. It is a lightweight texture in contrast with the warmth it offers. Cashmereattire is not heavy, which makes it simple to travel with, it won't occupy a lot of space in your bag and doesn't wrinkle, making it a perfect texture for travel apparel when you won't always have an iron available. In addition to the fact that cashmere keeps you warm without including bulk, it additionally has natural stretch, so you can move effectively while wearing it. Many individuals dodge fleece because of the scratchy feeling against the skin. Cashmere is soft and feels incredible against the skin as the strands are a lot better than fleece and are spun firmly to create a smooth delicate surface. One such company that claims to comprehend the many benefits of Cashmere is Brora. It is to this end that it focuses on offering fashionable cashmere clothing. Reading honest reviews of Brora here is one such way to learn more about the company and its assortment of products and service delivery.
