I recently purchased a dress from Club L London for my daughter's 18th birthday party, and the experience has been less than satisfactory. I bought the dress for £75, but to my disappointment, it ripped along the side within an hour of wearing it for the first time.
I reached out to Club L London's customer service through their website chatbox to address the issue. I expressed my concerns and frustration over receiving a damaged dress, expecting a resolution in line with my consumer rights. However, the response I received was far from satisfactory. I was offered only a 30% refund or a voucher as compensation, which I felt did not align with my expectations given the circumstances.
Moreover, I was told that the dress would need to be reviewed by their "Quality department" before a final decision could be made. To make matters worse, I was informed that I could potentially repair the tear myself at my own cost. This response not only felt dismissive but also placed the responsibility on me, the customer, to fix a dress that should have been of sound quality from the start.
I patiently waited for the "Quality department" to reach out as promised, but a week later, I had heard nothing from them. Frustrated by the lack of communication and resolution, I decided to follow up. To my surprise, I was told that the original customer service agent I had spoken to was away, and my case had not progressed as it should have. This added another layer of frustration and inefficiency to the situation.
Two weeks later, I found myself still in the dark, with no progress made in resolving my issue. I had to chase Club L London's customer service yet again, only to be told once more that my case was stuck in the "quality department," and I had to continue waiting.
The way Club L London has handled this situation is deeply disappointing. I only asked for a fair review of my case and a suitable resolution, such as a full refund or a replacement for the damaged dress. It is my belief that any reputable store should handle such matters promptly and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction and protecting their reputation.
My experience with Club L London has left me frustrated and dissatisfied, and I hope that sharing this review will draw attention to the need for improved customer service and quality control within the company.
It won’t take more than a few seconds to see the number of dissatisfied customers who have posted about this company sending out marked clothing and then blaming the recipient. It is impossible to prove it was marked when opening unless we took every parcel we receive and open it on camera!
The items were not even tried on, as I tried a dress on prior to taking said outfit out of the bag and that was exactly what I wanted. Very disappointed now that I chose to keep the item because after the way I have been treated I would rather not have purchased anything from them.
I have asked numerous questions, to which they will not answer, all they state is their staff are trained!
This is by far the most awful company I have ever dealt with. They sent ‘said outfit’ back thrown in a postal bag, rolled up in a ball.
The item was a chiffon material and pale pink/... in colour. Both top and bottom had huge tags on them! How I could have worn them with tags on is something I have asked numerous times because there is no way of hiding them or disgusting them! The tags are perfect, not bent or marked like they would be if they had been manipulated under clothing or something. The dress smells like a factory,the top clearly hasn’t even been put on, this can be seen by the way it sat when it was out of the bag.
The items were not very expensive, I am more than capable of affording them, however this is down to principle as this company try to steal from people who, in good faith, purchase items from them, need to return them (within the returns policy requirements) and then face the company defacing the items to say they cannot be returned and refusing a refund.
What a terrible business model and a dreadful customer service department.
I will be making sure we spend our hard earned money with a company that has the right ethics, morals and standards

I then kept the dress as it was perfect for the wedding i was attending and sent back the jumpsuit, only to have it returned to me with no explanation! No reply from customer service £55 down the drain!
i was waiting for some shoes to try the dress on, so discovered on the 13th day that the dress i bought had a fault, a rupture on the side at the bottom, they have no customer service whatsoever, totally ignorant to my emails, it takes weeks to respond to a query, ended up with a faulty dress, £150.00 wasted, lots of stress and unhappiness. will never buy from them again and will take them to small court claims to compensate me for the damage caused emotionally and financially
Shocking customer service. Dresses have an amazing cut and are overall of good quality. I ordered a few as I was planning on chosing 2 out of these dresses, happy with them, but on the one I decided to keep the feathers had come off. I then asked if I could be sent a replacement, noone would answer, as my even was approaching I complained everywhere I could and finally got someone, their first comment was to give me a voucher of £120 (less than what I had paid for that dress) so I explained that there was no way I was paying for shipping and return because there was an issue on the dress (they had asked me twice to take pictures because apparently I was lying the first time around). I complained and was issued another voucher, meaning to get back my money I would need to buy 2 dresses, obv less expensive but after that event I had no desire to buy from them.
I then ordered 2 more dresses to chose from and sent back one that I wasn't keen on. It apparently got refunded (information I have on the website) but obv there's nothing on my bank account. Have been trying for weeks to get through to no avail.
I'm sure all I get is another freaking voucher!
I made an order a few months back and I only received 2 out of 3 items that I ordered and my package had clearly been opened and then held together by elastic bands.
I know this probably wasn't Club L London's fault but I did email them to tell them what happened and there was a lot of back and forth and they took AGES to respond, some of my messages to them even bounced back because their system has issues.
After TWO MONTHS of back and forth, they finally send me a form to fill out to declare that I am truly missing an item, which I did and then sent to them but lo and behold, my email bounced back and it kept bouncing back - bare in mind the deadline for me to return this form to them is only 3-4 days after they sent it to me. Anyway I finally gave up and then tried again a couple of weeks later. It finally went through and after another round of painful back and forth, they tell me that I've missed the return window so I can't return any of the items and they're not even going to investigate why the other item has gone missing.
It's been 11 DAYS and they haven't responded to my last email.
Poor poor poor service from this atrocious company. I'll be telling all my friends and family to NOT shop from them ever!!!!
Hice una devolución de un pedido el 22 de octubre, estamos a 23 de noviembre (UN MES DESPUÉS) y parece que aún no han recibido ellos el pedido, cuando según la compañía de transportes, el pedido les llegó en su oficina el 26 DE OCTUBRE (pocos días después de haberlo enviado). Yo he tenido que contactarlos para tener noticias (3 semanas después del envío) y la atención al cliente es casi inexistente. Después de que pagas gastos de envío para recibirlo y para enviarlo (habiendo hecho una compra de más de 200€) Parece que tienes que suplicar por tu dinero... Creo haber ido yo misma desde París a su oficina en Inglaterra habría salido más rentable y rápido... La ropa de buena calidad, pero el servicio tiene mucho que mejorar. No lo recomendaría ni volvería a comprarles.
I bought two dresses from Club L London for my daughters prom. She tried them both on briefly but didn't like the colour so we ordered her a other from Club L which she liked. We returned the first two - my wife works in retail so made sure they were in good order and packaged them as best she could. When the dresses arrived they came in small bags within a ... bag so were somewhat crumpled and creased.
A few days later I received a refund for one dress. I was worried that perhaps the company had not realised there were two returned, but I had filled out the paperwork correctly so waited a while longer. Still no refund.
I emailed the company and eventually received a response stating that one of the dresses was in "poor condition".
I was shocked by this so enquired as to what this "poor condition" was - but received no response.
I have since chased the company umpteen times and had no reply.
I took to social media to find that there were a number of other customers complaining about various aspects of this company and their refunds.
I believe that this company has poor practices, acts deceitfully and rips off customers.
I would strongly advise not to buy from them.

Be careful when buying from this place. Don’t let quick delivery and pretty pictures fool you. The quality is not what it looks in the pictures but the worst is that they don’t refund you if the item is broken and push it on you ‘the item didn’t arrive in a good condition’ oh no surprise! It didn’t arrive in a good condition at my house how would I fix it and get it back to you how you expect.
Customer service is shocking.
I purchased twice from them, and similar issue every single time.
So girls don’t go buying various outfits to try it on as you will might but get your refund!
