I wasn't sure at first, but after a quick truss-rod tweak and lowering the strings it's playing lovely. Delivery was prompt and the seller answered questions quickly, which made the set-up easier — really appreciated that. If you're new, get a mate or tech to do the set-up, saves time. Feels comfortable and great value once dialled in, glad I went for it.
Nearly flawless find
I needed a decent spare guitar after a move and a dodgy buy earlier, and I remember exactly when I relaxed — first strum in the back room when it sounded right and the action felt comfy. It wasn’t perfect at first, a tiny fret buzz, but support replied quickly and sorted it. Properly pleased, really, and grateful.
Quick and practical
Found it in the living room after a messy delivery saga, opened it that same evening. Felt solid, strings and neck smooth, played straight away with no fuss. Used it the next day for a quick practice and it stayed in tune. Pleasant surprise, glad it worked out despite the delivery mix-up.
A bit of a revelation
I wasn't expecting much but this compact travel guitar slipped into my life and suitcase. Delivery turned up faster than my tea goes cold. Setup was spot on so I could noodle in the evening and even practice while babysitting chores. Case is sturdy. All bits included, though if you like crunchy overdrive through cans you'll need a tiny headphone amp. Customer help answered a quick question. Nice piece.
Tea-sized amp, not what I ordered
Sat at the kitchen table unboxing it while my son did his homework, and I kept thinking "where's the amp?" The kit itself looks fine, strings, case, all that — but the amp they sent is laughably tiny, about the size of a teacup or his toy speaker. The product photo made it look full-size, so we had to shell out again for a proper amp. Delivery was on time, but customer service hasn't been helpful. Bit annoyed, bit amused.
Quietly impressive, annoyingly handled
if you want the instrument, go for it — it’s worth the money. If you care about returns or service, double-check their policy and be prepared to chase them. Bit of a mixed bag, lovely guitar, frustrating company.
A guitar that finally behaves
it arrived well packed in two days, box intact, and the finish looked professionally done. It had D'Addario 9s fitted and was almost spot-on in tune, which was a lovely little surprise and saved me faffing about. Frets felt smooth, neck comfortable, action low and playable. The low E intonation was a touch off, but nothing a quick setup couldn't sort. Through the humbuckers it had a pleasing growl, and coil-splitting added useful tones. Overall I'm satisfied, slightly critical of the tiny intonation niggle, but impressed enough to recommend Donner for anyone fed up with cheap, disappointing guitars.
Quiet but full of character
balanced, honest and gives a proper electro‑acoustic tone without sounding fake. I also like the magnetic Allen key tucked into the body — sounds daft, but it’s handy and shows attention to design. It sits light and comfy on your lap and, if you want, plugging a small Fender amp gives it an edge that’s oddly fun. It stays in tune pretty well too, though the action was a touch high out of the box and there was a tiny scuff on the headstock — nothing major and easily fixed. All in all I’m really happy with it; good value, clever little features and enjoyable to play.
Not impressed, still waiting
dropouts and weird artefacts that pointed to a faulty sound chip, not a one-off glitch. I emailed on 15 December, then two more times after that — service@ukmail, the PR contact I was given and even a CEO address — and got only the refund and an instruction to keep the piano. They said they’d get in touch with details to fix it, which would have been fine, but months later there’s been nothing. I’ve followed up asking whether I should buy another unit or wait; silence. It’s left me wondering whether there’s a wider fault with this batch and whether they’re still selling them regardless. I’m not loud about it, just factual: refunded money is fair, but sitting on an unusable instrument with no plan isn’t great. The initial hesitation I had before buying hasn’t been resolved — if anything it’s increased. I’m a bit fed up and a bit disappointed, but mostly I’d have appreciated clear, timely contact. If you’re considering one, try to get written confirmation it’s been inspected first.
Ukulele purchase
I came across this great store called Donner Music and thought it would be a good idea to pick up a ukulele from there to start playing again. I spotted a ukulele that had really good reviews and was even on sale, so I couldn't resist buying it. It was delivered promptly and looks gorgeous, not to mention it sounds fantastic. I didn't need any assistance from the staff there and the payment process was quick and simple. I reckon this store is excellent and I'd definitely recommend it to all my friends!
Donner hush i guitar
I bought the Donner hush i guitar for my daughter's Christmas gift. Unfortunately, on Christmas day, after just a few hours of playing, the bottom string broke and the other strings started buzzing. I paid £239 for it, so I was really surprised by the low quality. I've tried contacting the company several times via email but haven't heard back from them at all. I'm really let down by both the service and the product quality. The only good thing was that it arrived pretty quickly.
Donner Hush X guitar
I've been playing music for a while, and I have to say, I was pretty let down by the Donner Hush X guitar I bought recently. When it arrived, it was in a bit of a sorry state - the wings were wobbly and the pick-up switch selector was loose. Although it's easy to carry around and plays alright, the problems I found made me feel like I paid too much for something that seemed like it was slapped together quickly in a factory. If you're thinking of getting one, I'd definitely say to steer clear of this model. No one wants to end up feeling as disappointed as I do right now.
Guitar strings
My guitar strings turned up a bit after I thought they would, but I gotta say, the customer service team really looked after me when I got in touch by email. They responded quickly and sorted out my issues in a jiffy. I'm really happy with the guitar strings I got and the top-notch service I received.
B1 Bass purchase
I bought a B1 Bass from this music shop not too long ago and I have to admit, it really went above and beyond what I was expecting. The bass is a fantastic 303 clone that is very user-friendly, producing high-quality sound and being very easy to use, which is amazing. Even though there was a little problem with the unit, the company dealt with it quickly and provided a great customer service. I am really impressed with how everything went and I would definitely suggest them to anyone else.
Guitar pedal purchase
I ordered a guitar pedal late one evening and it arrived the next Friday afternoon. The whole process was really smooth and hassle-free, I was really happy with how quickly it was delivered and the quality of the product was great.
Piano purchase
I saw some bad reviews, but I still went ahead and bought a piano from this company. It turned out to be a really disappointing experience. I placed an order and paid a lot of money, but the piano never arrived. I tried getting in touch with the company several times, but I couldn't reach anyone - the phone just rang out or went to voicemail. I felt really frustrated and let down by their poor communication and service.
Electric guitar purchase
I bought an electric guitar from this shop recently, but I've been really disappointed with the whole experience. I placed my order, waited patiently for delivery, but then I was told the courier had lost the guitar. After a long delay, they promised to send a replacement, but I'm still waiting for the logistics team to sort it out. It's so frustrating to think that the guitar was supposed to be sent from a warehouse in the UK, but the delay seems to be because of issues in China, where it was originally from. If this isn't resolved in the next two days, I might just ask for a refund. I'm just really let down by the service, to be honest.
Acoustic foam panels
I ordered these awesome foam panels and they were really good value. However, some of them didn't expand properly. I decided to email them with some pictures two months later, and they got back to me really quickly. They apologised and said they would send me replacements, but unfortunately, they were sold out. Instead, they offered me a refund, which I think was a fair outcome. Overall, I was impressed with their speedy and friendly customer service, so I would definitely recommend them!
Guitar strings
My experience with this company was an absolute nightmare. I bought some guitar strings that ended up being the wrong size. I tried to send them back within the 30-day period, but they never gave me the RMA or return address. I sent them so many emails, but never heard back from them. It's really annoying when a company says they accept returns but then makes it so difficult for customers to actually return items. I definitely wouldn't suggest buying from them unless you're prepared for a lot of stress.
Drum set purchase
I bought a drum set for my son from this shop, and after only 3 months, the snare drum stopped working completely. I contacted them to get it repaired or replaced under warranty, but they told me they don't have any spare parts for the products they sell. The replacement from China will take 35 working days, which is almost 2 months. My advice would be to spend a bit more to get a product that the seller properly supports, as this shop will happily take your money but won't provide any support afterwards.
About Donner Music
The importance of music cannot be overemphasized. Many people see it as one of the strongest form of therapies. Music is a good thing for the soul; it is an elixir that has many functions. Besides the singing voice, good music also comprises quality musical instruments. However, you must take care to ensure that you buy instruments that are not frustrating to play and painful to listen. One way to do this is not to get carried away by cheap deals. Often, cheap musical instruments are poorly made. You may always have to retune or play out of tune. Also, consult your music teacher before you buy any musical instrument. Your teacher is likely to know of good stores that sell good quality instruments. In addition, buy your instruments from a speciality store. If you are buying a used instrument, buy with caution. It might look good and cost a reasonable amount of money, but the quality might be ridiculously low. If you are interested in getting good quality instruments, you could consider Donner Music. However, you should read customer reviews of Donner Music here to know if they have been efficient as they claim.

I learnt about music since when I was working under a music producer. My boss studio then used to be one of the places musicians find peace working with. Even another music prod... Read onBy: FORTUNE
