Sell my phone
MusicmagPie offered a lucrative price to get me to send my phone to them, phone was sent in full working order (I have image proof), a false assessment was done and new offer of £73.50 (original offer £260) was offered due to 'heavy cosmetic wear'. Phone was received back broken, unable to switch on. The following day the device was brought to Apple (have a report/proof of this) who said (in the eyes of the maker and supplier) the phone has NO cosmetic damage, Apple also ran tests and said hardware had been broken or removed from the phone. Reported to MusicmagPie who now completely ignore me. Reported to trading standards and Ombudsman and now starting legal proceedings. The money is irrelevant, what matters is me, as an individual, if I stole something or damaged someones property this would be a crime and I would be held accountable, and so companies like this need to be held to the same accountability.
I sold them books and cds that they refuse to pay me for.
100% Scam
I received an email saying my payment was sent. It's been a week since my items were processed and I still have not received the payment.
I've attempted to contact them.several times and the first time (a day after receiving the email saying payment had been sent, customer service said my order was still processing.
I responded to that email and have since been ignored except for them to say the order is complete and as they have sent the payment, they can't even return my items because they have "recycled" them.
So they took my items under false pretenses, destroyed them and refuse to pay me. I've reported them to Trading Standards, Action Fraud and the police as they scammers and have destroyed my property that was stolen from me.Sold an iPhone 11
Do not use this company, they are great when it works, but when they lose something ( which to be fair could happen to anyone) they take no responsibility. They are quite happy to return somebody else’s broken phone to me, whilst taking no responsibility for losing my phone. This could of been resolved so easily and I have given them plenty of opportunities to do so, but they literally do not care.

MusicMagpie lost my phone order 8125392
I received a quote from MusicMagpie for my iPhone XS 256GB for £142 on 21/04/2023 and I shipped it off on 26/04/2023.
On 29/04/2023 they sent me a revised offer of £40 citing that the screen is cracked, which I declined and asked for the phone to be returned since I know the phone was in perfect condition when it left me. I bought the phone brand new in 2018, and kept it in a quad lock case with toughened glass protection on it. The only fault was the battery would only last me a day.
Having sustained an injury and ending up with surgery etc. I did not have the time to follow up on why my phone wasn't sent back until 18/05/2023. After not getting anywhere and starting to chase it daily last week, the MusicMagpie team now have no idea where my phone is, and Apple support say they can't help as I removed it from my Apple account therefore I have no serial number or IMEI to ask for it to be blocked.
Please avoid MusicMagpie unless you have valuable items to throw away!Buy
They are impossible to contact as other customers have said the page crashes all the time I have tried to get an update on my account it’s impossible
The renting scheme is complete scam don’t know how they get away with itPs5 controller ...amp... games
I sent my order to their warehouse and they said they never received it. Even though Royal Mail had confirmed they had delivered it. They are nothing short of professional thieves who are disingenuous and cannot be trusted. For weeks I tried and tried to resolve this with customer service but they were condescending and dismissive. They had insinuated that I made a mistake and that they cannot find the package even though the items were clearly marked. I would strongly recommend that you DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR SELLING. They are not to be trusted. Do not make the mistake I made and be left out of pocket. Go to a competitor
Dvd's
Terrible customer service. I bought friends collection, half of the discs didn't play properly. I contacted customer service and explained I was registered disabled, I'd not been out since covid due to anxiety. It would cost me to send a helper in a private taxi. They offered me £1, after numerous emails back and forward, they said they refund £3.50. I've had to repurchase it from a different seller. Terrible
sent phone back under warranty
Lost/stole my phone
Terrible company, sent phone back under warranty. They have lost/stolen it and refused to give me another phone or my money back, which I originally spent with them. If anyone done this to eachother it'll be theft and authorities would be involved but as its a limited company they feel they can get away with it.
Well trading standards and a small claims court seems the oney way forward now.
Admitted to losing it or it being missing, I have a receip... of pprof that was sent and it has the weight of parcel.

Watch out for fake prices. Ordered a phone which was advertised at £1149 but it kept crashing at checkout. when it finally went through, I discovered I was charged £1169 as 'black friday sale'. Customer Services says the price is updated to reflect various factors...I suppose they mean how much fake they can get away with to get your money...shame and indeed disgrace
Macbook Pro
Pristine condition Macbook Pro costing £1k turned up with 2 dents and misaligned screen plus various marks and rough edges. Had clearly been dropped and was never in a million years A grade pristine condition. Also arrived 3 days late having paid extra for next day express delivery. This was apparently due to a system error their side which was never communicated to me until I contacted them & it took 3 livechats and an email to customer complaints before I was told. Appalling customer service. No phone lines. Script reading live chat operators who are clueless. Avoid this company & buy from Apple Refurb. Nightmare from start to finish.
trade-in
Sent a two-year-old Galaxy S10+ to musicMagpie as a trade-in. Was quoted £135. Phone was in excellent condition, just a few minor scuffs, as you'd expect from a used phone. Once they received the phone, the quote was lowered to £35 due to a "cracked or smashed screen." I've had issues with trade-in companies before whereby they claim damage to reduce the quote in the hope that you accept. I had my suspicions, declined their offer and received the phone back. Sure enough, the screen was in near-perfect condition.
This is a common scam and reports of it across the internet are rife. However, I believe that it's legal, as these companies typically give you the opportunity to decline their offer and receive your item back. It's still incredibly poor practice, though. My advice is to trade in your phone with a mobile network provider (for a bit less money) or sell it on eBay (for a bit more).
Do not use this company, as they won't honour your quote. Even if you sent in a brand-new device I imagine they'd find "damage" of some kind. The giveaway is in this company's name - musicMagpie. Magpies are cunning and like stealing shiny objects, so the name makes complete sense.I do not recommend scammers !!
I do not recommend scammers !!
I sent them an apple watch 7 they received with the help of the label they gave me, i.e. royailmail, and they claim that they did not receive anything !!!! Tracking number confirms receipt of the parcel. Now I have neither a clock nor any money. I warn against these scammers, reading other opinions is their standard practice !!Apple AirPods Pros
Appalling. Sent me a faulty item so I returned it. They claimed the item I returned wasn’t the one they’d sent me. I repeated told them they’d made a mistake. Instead of looking into it, they just sent the item back to me again!
Finally, they agreed they were wrong, but now won’t refund until I return the item, which, as I am away from my address, won’t be for 6 weeks.
Entirely their fault that their records were wrong and that they re-sent the item to me without resolving the issue.
Now I’m out of pocket and have to hope the package is at my address when I get back. Then I have to return it. Then hope they get it right this time and refund me.
Meanwhile they’ll have had my money for over two months!
Shambles.Mobile phone
Please buy from a second hand shop to avoid this happening to you eg.Cex.-I had to send the phone back to them for repair but they said they received it with a cracked screen and they won't submit a claims form with Royal Mail as they said the box wasn't damaged,it could have been dropped or crushed but they don't want a bar of it-I made a claim for an ornament which was well packed but arrived broken with no damage to the box for an ebay customer which was no drama.
If I've lost my money on this I won't be using them again and with all the messages going to and frow they would have spent less time just filling out the form-Very stressful!
Update-(We have concluded that this item was received in the condition in which it was sent.)-They're calling me a liar.I've lost my money and will never use Music Magpie again.iPad pro
Ordered a iPad Pro from music magpie. Delivery came reasonably fast.
The device would not charge after two months.
Sent the item back under warranty. The clearly couldn’t be bothered to look and set the item back the void the warranty.
Go straight to the manufactures of what ever device you choose and avoid this website at all cost!!!! You will regret it if you don’t.Apple iphone 11 Pro
I ordered a phone for my daughters…
I ordered a phone for my daughters birthday and it never arrived even though I paid extra for next day delivery! I was told I needed to wait 7 days and then they could reprt it missing with the courier. I waited the requested amount of time and contacted them again but other than more or less accusing me of recieving the phone, when I have not, they have been very unhelpful, so I am still with out a birthday present for my daughter, no replacement has been sent and no refund - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS THAT WORK HARD TO PROVIDE FOR THEIR FAMILIES, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT PART WITH YOUR MONEY TO THIS COMPANY!Samsung Tablet
Purchased a Samsung tablet back in March for my daughter. Started to notice that it wasn’t charging and after sometimes several hours it had only charged a couple of percent. Contacted them and they sent a label to return it and was informed it would be repaired or replaced if that wasn’t possible. Instead they sent me an email saying I was being refunded. Yes it was good to get my money back but would have been nice to have been given the option or even an email out of courtesy first. They seem to be selling the same tablet more expensive now so looks like it was done because I bought it cheaper than they are selling them now and would rather get more money from someone else. Wouldn’t use them again!
Iphone11
Incorrect phone sent, I received different brand that was 50% cheaper than phone I had purchased. Returned immediately, however they refund to refund or send goods back despite using their pack again and label stating despite 48 hour return label goods take over 2 weeks to come back. Repeated emails requesting refund are being ignored. Terrible customer service as the mistake was their fault not mine.
I WOULD NOT BUY FROM THEM
iPad
Ordered an iPad for my Mum. They sent one without a charger, obviously assuming she had one. She didn't and could not use it. I sent an email to customer support and it took them a week to respond. They then sent another cable, NOT a charger, despite making it perfectly clear the charger was missing from the original box and there was even an empty space where it should have been. Another week later and they still have not responded and it's nearly two weeks my Mum has been without access to Facetime her grandchildren. Disgraceful. Utterly shocking.
Sold classical music CDs
I've sold four batches of classical music CDs and a few books to Music Magpie and they've been fine; accepted everything, including a couple of books in pretty poor condition I thought they might reject. Posting the items is easy, you just put the stuff in a box and present a QR code at your post office with the box to get it posted for free. Admittedly they don't pay much for most things, but the sensible thing to do is list the stuff on eBay first for a few months then sell what remains. At least you get something for it.
