    Premium increase after first year

    My new pet fish

    I recently got a new pet fish from Petwise and I'm delighted with it! They had a great variety of fish to choose from, and the staff were really helpful in assisting me to pick the best one for my tank. My fish is doing well and seems content in its new home, all thanks to Petwise!

    Dog insurance claim denial

    I've just applied for my dog's insurance claim for a lump removal surgery on her leg. I've been insuring my pet all her life and followed the vet's advice, but unfortunately, they rejected the claim, saying it's a pre-existing condition. I showed them evidence of previous insurance, but they still wouldn't pay. It's made me feel frustrated and let down by the pet insurance sector.

    Pet insurance claim issue

    I've had a right nightmare with my pet insurance claim from Petwise. My vet sent over all the info they needed, but Petwise said they never got it. They kept saying it was encrypted and they couldn't open it, which is just frustrating. I've been back and forth on the phone and email, but still no resolution. I even tried sending it by recorded delivery, but that didn't work either. The delay in sorting out my claim has really put me in a financial pickle, having to fall back on my credit card.

    Senior pet insurance

    I think it's great that this insurance company has a plan for older pets. As my dog has got on in years, I've seen the premiums go up, but I get it - older pets are more likely to get sick. Even though it's pricey, I would totally suggest this insurance to other pet owners with elderly pets who might need some extra care.

It seemed like they were always looking for reasons to avoid paying out. I felt really let down by the service I received and felt it wasn't worth the money.     I recently bought some pet supplies at this shop and I was really disappointed with the service I got. Like lots of other customers have said, the whole claims thing took way too long. I sent my claim in at the start of December and even after I chased them up a few times, they still hadn't sorted it out. They didn't tell me how long it would take, which was really frustrating and left me feeling pretty annoyed and clueless.

    After I chased them up for the third time, they finally said I'd be put on the priority list. Suddenly, my claim was sorted out within 24 hours. But because the process took so long, I ended up having to fork out a big chunk of interest on my credit card, which I wasn't expecting and didn't think was fair.

    Even though they eventually sorted out my claim, I reckon the service was pretty poor and the lack of communication was just unprofessional. The only reason I'm not giving them an even lower rating is because they did eventually sort things out, even if it took ages.

    I recently got insurance for my dog, which was a great decision as it covers up to £8000 per year. Vet fees can be so costly these days, so it really gives me peace of mind. The staff at the insurance company were very friendly and made the process of sorting it out and renewing it super easy.

    Claim for pet insurance

    I put in a claim for my dear dog who sadly passed away from a sudden illness. It took an incredibly long time for the claim to even be put on their system, which left me waiting for over 3 weeks. It has now been over 2 months since I submitted the claim and it still hasn't been looked at. This is unacceptable, especially during such a hard time. The customer service is terrible - even though the staff are friendly, they don't give any real solutions and just keep repeating the long 25 working day timescale. It's a disgrace that grieving pet owners have to stress about money on top of their loss.

    Claim settlement time

    I completely agree with all the other reviews about Petwise. I gave them a ring to sort out a claim for my dog who's not been feeling great, and they said it could take up to 4 weeks. But the thing is, it takes them about 3-4 weeks just to acknowledge they've received your claim! So basically, you're looking at a minimum wait of 7 weeks before they even start processing your claim! My poor dog is 12 years old and I just want her to feel better, you know? It's really stressful being a pet parent and then having to deal with these insurance people taking forever. I submitted my claim at the end of February, they only noticed it on the 18th March, and now it's been another 4 weeks and still nothing! The staff are friendly, but come on Petwise, update your voicemail to tell it like it is - be prepared for a long wait!

    Urgent pet care insurance claim

    I had to claim pet insurance urgently because my dog needed care. Even though I sent the claim in quickly, the company took ages to process it and kept giving me excuses. Waiting for a response felt like forever, and dealing with all the back and forth just made me more annoyed. Their communication was all over the place and just made everything so stressful and time-consuming. It's really disappointing to see an insurance company act this way, especially when people need them the most. Companies should stick to their word and keep their promises without dragging things out or giving false information.

    Insurance premium increase

    I was really surprised by how much my pet insurance premium went up with this company for my old dog, especially since I didn't actually make any claims all year. It went up from just over £600 to nearly £1200, which is really disheartening considering I've been a loyal customer. When I got in touch with them to talk about the big increase, I got a very rehearsed response that didn't really solve my worries. On top of that, I found another insurance provider that gives the same benefits but for half the price, and it made me wish I hadn't stuck with this company. The fact that they weren't transparent and their customer service was lacking really let me down.

    Cat food and toys

    I went down to Petwise to pick up some food and toys for my darling kitty, and honestly, I was so disappointed with their service. I sent in a claim ages ago and they haven't even checked it yet. How cheeky! They're telling me it might be another 10 days before they even bother to look at it. My poor kitty definitely deserves better than this!
