Skincare services
The scar I sustained as a result of wound during a neighbourhood fracas left me wondering what was its aims. Ordinarily, it was something that should've cleared off within the shortest time but to my surprise, the scar persisted and almost stayed permanently. I had to seek professional skincare services. Still, I tried a number from different service providers that didn't work and untill I discovered about Skincity. Looking at the positive reviews from customers, I perceived they may just be the solution to my skin problem. Thankfully, when I started using treatment from Skincity, it wasn't long when I noticed the difference and that led to the total cure of the scar in my forehead. Truly Skincity knows it onions in providing quality skincare services and I respect them for standing out.
Skin Ceuticals C E Ferulic serum
I've bought the Skin Ceuticals C E Ferulic serum from Skincity twice now, and I have to say, I'm really impressed with both the product and the service I've received from this online store. The serum is top quality and has done wonders for my skin. Skincity has gone above and beyond my expectations with their fantastic customer service and speedy delivery. Plus, their prices are really competitive, so it's great value for money. And getting some Kokeshi dolls with my orders is such a nice little bonus. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Skincity to anyone in search of high-quality skincare products and exceptional service.
Kiehl's Soy Milk & Honey Body Polish
I've been hunting high and low for the Kiehl's Soy Milk & Honey Body Polish, but couldn't find it in stock anywhere online except for Skincity. So, on Black Friday, I thought I'd make the most of the 30% discount and ordered a few units. To my surprise, I got a free gift and some samples with my order. The delivery was speedy and I'm really pleased with what I got. Skincity offers top-notch beauty products at reasonable prices and I'd definitely recommend them. Their customer service was also spot on.
Recent order delay
I recently ordered some products from Skincity and I've been waiting a while for them to be dispatched. It's been four days now and I'm still waiting for them to be shipped out. I got in touch with the customer service team through the chat box, and they told me that they've been experiencing delays because of special offer weekend promotions and a high number of orders. I understand that these things can cause delays, but I think customers expect a bit more efficiency when it comes to handling their orders.
Overseas shipment issues
Skincity can be a bit of a headache for those ordering from abroad. Despite Brexit, they don't seem to have a clue about customs charges. I recently made an order that was under the limit, only to be hit with extra charges upon delivery. When I reached out to customer service about it, they were completely useless and refused to own up to their mistake. My advice? Steer clear of ordering from Skincity if you're not based in the UK. It's just not worth the hassle.
Skincare products
So, I bought some stuff from this place and it arrived in good packaging, however it did take a week to get to me. The delivery guy ended up going to the wrong place, but the customer service team managed to sort it out and they even gave me a little discount as a gesture. I'll definitely give them another try in the future!
First-time purchase
My first time buying from SkinCity was amazing! They had a great range of products, affordable prices, and the packaging was really well done. I was so happy to see some freebies in my order too, it was a nice surprise. Everything I bought was top quality and did wonders for my skin. The option for free tracked delivery with Evri was a bonus and it arrived in just 3 days. I also liked that I could choose Royal Mail Tracked for free. After this great experience, I'm already thinking about ordering again soon from SkinCity.
£100 purchase
The products I bought were really good, but I was disappointed with the customer service I received. At first, the person I spoke to was not very helpful when I got in touch about not getting my free gift after spending over £100. They said I hadn't entered a code and that all the gifts had run out, not really taking my issue seriously. However, when I messaged them on Instagram, a different person stepped in and offered me some testers as a replacement for the missing gift.
Mini version of favorite cream
I can't believe how quickly my order got here! The packaging was done so nicely, with tissue paper and a quote in an envelope. I was really pleased to find some samples and gifts included too, such a lovely gesture! I will definitely be ordering from here again.
Import duties
I bought something on the website and got hit with import duties when it arrived. I should've read the reviews first, they didn't mention this on the site. Next time, I'll just stick to my usual beauty shop.
Expensive La Prairie purchase with disappointing samples
I've just splurged on some La Prairie products, spending a hefty 253 euros with no discount. I was hoping for some nice samples from La Prairie as well, given the price, but all I got were tiny 1 ml sachets of random brands I'm not interested in. It left me feeling undervalued as a loyal customer. So, I won't be shopping there again in the future.
Quick shipping, hidden import duty
The product I ordered got here pretty sharpish and was a decent price, but it really threw me off to see I had to cough up an extra €14 for customs fees. It's annoying that they didn't make it clear on the website before I bought it. Even though I'm grateful for how quickly it arrived and the good deal I got, this surprise charge has really put me off. I won't be buying from them again unless they sort this problem out.
Evolve product with short shelf life
I recently bought an Evolve product from Skincity because Evolve was out of stock. When it arrived, I was surprised to find that it only had a few months left until the expiry date. I got in touch with customer service, and they said it was because the product is natural. However, all the other products I've bought straight from Evolve have had expiry dates of at least 12 months. It looks like this specific item had been sitting in a warehouse for a while, which was a letdown. From now on, I'll make sure to only buy directly from Evolve to make sure I get a fresh product.
Luxe skincare products
They've got loads of posh skincare products from brands like Tata Harper and Barbara Sturm. Luckily, I managed to score a 20% discount on everything, which is great. However, I'm so annoyed because the delivery is taking absolutely ages. I placed the order 6 days back and only now found out that it won't arrive for a few more days!
Skincare products
I recently bought some skincare products from this company and I have to say, I'm not impressed with their website and policies. I find it quite unfriendly and abusive that the website doesn't let customers choose which cookies they want to enable, but instead makes them accept all cookies. Also, the website is not well-made as it automatically sets your location, so you can't manually input your delivery address. It's frustrating not having control and it makes me doubt the company's professionalism. Their heavy reliance on online sales makes this oversight even more worrying.
Recent order
I've been a loyal customer of Skincity for a good while and I've always been really pleased with their products and services. However, I was let down by my recent order. I got hit with an unexpected customs duty charge, which wasn't mentioned to me when I made the order. It looks like they're now shipping from the UK instead of Sweden, resulting in added costs for us EU customers. It's now become too pricey for me to keep buying from Skincity, which is a shame because I've always been happy with their products. I really hope they can sort this out and be more transparent about any extra charges in the future.
Skincare products with 20% off site wide offer
I was really disappointed with my recent experience at Skincity. I've been a loyal customer for a while now and I've always had a good shopping experience. But this time, I placed an order last Wednesday during a 20% off site-wide promotion, and to my surprise, my order was still being processed four days later. This wasn't the level of service I was used to from Skincity. I decided to email customer service to ask about the delay, and all I got was a generic response saying they were really busy and would send my order out ASAP. They definitely didn't stick to their usual dispatch time of the next working day, and I was disappointed and frustrated. If I'd known about this longer delivery time, I would have gone with a different retailer.
Wide range of products
I really liked all the different products on offer at the store as it made it easy for me to find exactly what I needed. However, I've been a bit let down by the longer delivery times recently. In the beginning, I was really impressed as I could order in the afternoon and get it the very next day. I don't mind waiting a bit longer than that, but waiting 4-7 days for an Instabox delivery is just too much. There are other companies out there that offer much speedier Instabox and Budbee deliveries, so I know it's not an issue with the delivery service itself. Also, even though they have a huge variety of products, Skincity's prices are way higher than other stores, which is why I usually end up buying from somewhere else.
