they sent a replacement free and it arrived quickly. I'm relieved and grateful, but still shrug about their quality control.
Blue halo, decent help
friendly, quick replies and actually helpful, which you don’t always get (been burned by other brands before). So, not perfect — the staining is annoying and a bit of a design fail — but overall I’d say it works and their support made a big difference.
Reliable kit for daily sun work
I needed decent sun protection because I'm pale and spend long days outside doing landscaping; found these items after a couple of bad burns. The umbrella has been the star — I use it every day, even in gusty weather, and it's still going after a good two years (honestly, I didn't expect that). Hats are comfortable and the arm sleeves actually stay in place, which was a nice surprise — I thought they'd slip. Swimwear and sleeves seem well made too. Delivery was quick in Australia; if you're ordering elsewhere you might see different times. Overall practical, no fuss, good value for what I needed. Worth buying if you're outside a lot.
Two hats, one keeper
the sizing runs slightly small and the return process was awkward — the site only lets you print a label, no QR option, which was a pain since I don't own a printer. Also there's a £5.95 return fee and I had to shell out for a print at the shop. Overall I like the hats a lot, just wish returns were simpler.
Mixed feelings, but it ended up sorted
they did fix it in the end. So take the usual care with notes and emails, and maybe chase them publicly if you have to.
Not what I expected
light and foldable, feels like thin polyester (which isn’t a crime), and it does pack down nicely for holidays. On my head it’s airy enough for a hot afternoon, the brim holds shape better than I thought, and the stitching isn’t sloppy. That said, paying premium for branding stings — you can find very similar stuff cheaper if you look. In short: decent everyday sunhat that surprises in practicality, but don’t buy into the fancy marketing unless you want the name on the label.
Disappointed recent purchase
I'm really disappointed with the things I bought - a hat, a face mask, and a poncho/cape. The hat was nothing like the picture - too big, badly made, and no shape to it. The fabric didn't hang nicely at all. The face mask was too big and had too much fabric, making it hard to wear. The poncho was okay, but the material was cheap and not nice. I paid a lot for them and now I'm not sure they have the UV protection they said they did. And to top it off, I couldn't send them back because of shipping delays. I feel like I've been ripped off and it's really frustrating.
Face mask for sun cancer
I bought a face mask hoping to be able to keep hiking while getting treatment for skin cancer. However, it took ages to arrive, only coming two days before my treatment ended. When I finally tried it out, I found it really uncomfortable as I couldn't breathe properly. I contacted customer service for help, but they were awful - definitely the worst customer service I've ever had. All in all, it was a costly and disappointing purchase that I wouldn't advise anyone to make.
Two long sleeve tops
I bought two long sleeve tops from this company not too long ago. Sadly, when they arrived, one of them was all wet which was a bit of a letdown. But luckily, I managed to get in touch with customer service and they quickly gave me a refund for the damaged top. I decided to buy the same top again and now I'm just waiting for the refund for the delivery as we talked about. I'm optimistic that everything will be sorted soon and I'll make sure to update my review once it is.
Sun protection hat and sunbrella purchase
I highly recommend these sun protection products. They are really good in terms of quality and protection from the sun. The customer service was excellent, the delivery was fast, and the prices were reasonable. The sizing advice was perfect, and the colours were just like on the website. These products are a must-have in dealing with the more frequent and intense heatwaves caused by climate change in the UK. It's not easy to find sun protection this good in regular stores. Protect your skin with these products. I highly recommend them in every way.
Sun umbrella purchase
I've had an absolutely awful experience with this company! I ordered a sun umbrella on the 30th of May and was told it would arrive within 6 to 8 working days. But it's been over two weeks now and my order is still stuck in Mascot, Australia with no updates. I've sent several emails asking for more information, but all I get back is the same automated response about the delivery time. It's now the 15th of June and I still have no clue when my order will arrive. Just terrible!
Quality of sunglasses.
I bought these sunglasses and when they arrived, they were all wonky and felt really flimsy. They were meant to cost around £100 but they were honestly not worth the money. What's worse, when I posted a negative review on their website, it mysteriously vanished! How dodgy is that?
Recent online purchase
I made an online purchase not long ago, but it didn't turn out as I had hoped. The customer service was lacking, the shipping took ages, and there was hardly any communication from the company. I ordered a few things nearly a week ago now and haven't heard a peep about when they'll arrive. I've sent a few emails but haven't got any replies. It would've been helpful if the website had mentioned that orders from the US are shipped from Australia – I didn't realise that when I bought my stuff.
Sun protective clothing
I'd been looking for the perfect sun protective clothing for ages, and finally found a great option from this company. Even though I didn't notice them at first, I was really impressed by the quality and design of the product. The checkout process went smoothly, but I forgot to use my first-time buyer discount. When I contacted customer service via email, I was amazed by how quickly they responded and credited the discount to my card straight away. Exceptional customer service like this is hard to come by nowadays, and I really appreciate it. I haven't received my purchase yet, but I trust that it will be handled with the same level of efficiency and friendliness that I experienced when placing the order. Overall, I'm extremely impressed with this company and would definitely recommend them to others.
Sun protective clothing purchase
The customer service at this company is absolutely terrible. They don't even provide a phone number for customers to call, which makes it really difficult to sort out any issues or questions. I tried to return something through USPS, as that's how it was sent to me, but their system only allows for DHL returns, and there are no DHL locations nearby. This inflexibility and lack of concern for customers is just not on. What's more, the items I received weren't what I expected, which just made things even more frustrating. Now, I have no choice but to get in touch with my credit card company to challenge this purchase. All in all, I really wouldn't recommend using this company.
Sun protection clothing
I recently bought some clothes to shield my skin from the sun as my mum insists I look after my skin. The clothes are super comfy and soft, not to mention they do a great job of stopping those horrible sunburns. I'm also a fan of the vibrant and fun colours. Although, I do find that sometimes the sleeves are a tad too long for my liking.
Face gaiter purchase
After buying the face and neck gaiter, I was let down as it didn't meet the expectations I had from the company. The material was weak and didn't stay in place like it said it would. I've had surgeries to remove BCCs and skin grafts on my face, so I needed this product for sun protection, but it didn't work well. It was too expensive for the quality it had, and I wouldn't suggest it to anyone needing reliable sun protection.
Floral long sleeve swimsuit UPF50+
I recently bought a floral long sleeve swimsuit UPF50+ from this brand. The customer service was really good and quick, but I was a bit let down by the design of the swimsuit. The fabric wasn't as stretchy as I expected from a normal swimsuit, and the bottom of the swimsuit kind of sagged when I wore it. Also, the removable bra cups moved around and ended up in a weird spot below my collar bones when I got out of the pool.
Exchange requested two weeks ago
I asked for an exchange on some items a couple of weeks ago, following the steps given. But, I haven't heard anything back since then. Even though I got in touch with customer service twice for an update, they told me the person in charge of the USA region was away on holiday, which doesn't really help me since I'm in the UK. Normally, I expect exchanges to be sorted out in 4-5 days, so it's disappointing not to have had any follow-up or communication. Sadly, this delay means the tops I ordered won't arrive in time for my upcoming holiday. Because of this, I'm feeling unsure about using this service again in the future.
