Unsafe and unreliable - AVOID. I have used Hoppa for a few years now. I have never had any issues in the past and always received the car and the driver that was advised by Hoppa. I used Hoppa again for a trip in October of this year and what I experienced was inexcusable. Hoppa provided me with the name of the driver before my first journey. His name was Javier so, I expected a male driver. Javier sent me a WhatsApp as I arrived to my destination and informed me that the driver that would be taking us was named Irene. I didn't think too much about it until I met her and the situation became a bit more clear. Irene was dismissive and rude from the offset. She had an attitude as soon as she saw our bags because she knew that they would be an issue in her car. The car that we paid for through Hoppa was a private car that fits 4 passengers and 4 suitcases. There were only 3 passengers, 3 suitcases and a walking aid for my elderly mother so, this shouldn't have been an issue. I even highlighted the walking aid with Hoppa in advance, providing measurements and photographs. Hoppa assured me that it wouldn't be an issue and that this note was added to my booking. This information however was not passed onto the male driver Javier, as he claims. Therefore, he sent Irene who drove a car that would fit 3 passengers and 3 suitcases. Absolutely nothing more. Her car was also a commercial taxi, not a private car. Irene had zero details about our booking. She had no idea where were we staying and when I tried to hand her our Hoppa eTicket, she scoffed and said she had no idea what it was. She struggled greatly to get our things into her car, becoming more and more agitated the longer she tried. Finally, she had to resort to dropping one of the back seats to fit everything in. This removed one of the seatbelts from the back seats, forcing my sister to endure the entire 45 minute journey with no seatbelt. I noticed that the taxi meter was running during our journey. I asked Irene why it was running and explained that we had already paid, she said not to worry that her "friend" had already paid her and that the meter was for the police. What I took from this entire situation was that the driver Javier unofficially passed the job onto someone who was not an official or vetted driver of Hoppa. I emailed Hoppa about this the following day and had to exhaust more time than I care to think about during my holiday emailing, sending messages via WhatsApp and calling Hoppa to ensure that this very serious situation did not occur again on our return journey. Hoppa were and continue to be absolutely no help. They admitted concern and advised that a taxi should not have picked us up when I spoke to a representative over the phone. I went on to file a complaint with Hoppa and the complaint's department tried to close my case on a number of occasions based on the drivers lies and without asking me for any clarification or further information. I persevered and was able to prove to Hoppa that what I was telling them was the truth and that the driver was lying to them through screenshots of our WhatsApp message. Hoppa are still unwilling to take this matter seriously. What happened here was extremely dangerous. Hoppa were unable to tell me the female drivers name or give the registration or model of her car. They are also under the illusion that the car in question was a Toyota Prius, which it absolutely was not. The fact that Hoppa have no idea who the person who drove us was or the model and registration of the car that she drove us in is beyond alarming. Anything could have happened to us in this situation and my sister being forced to travel without a seatbelt is inexcusable. We did not receive the car that we paid for and had to travel in very unsafe conditions all the while - Hoppa are doing nothing to rectify the situation or take it with the serious approach that it warrants. I will be reporting Hoppa and I hope that this review serves to help others stay safe.
Surprisingly decent transfer
Overall, I'd recommend them — odd start but ended well. The driver initially said he was at the wrong spot though my voucher had the right details; he asked for a small extra to come back, which annoyed me, but once I agreed he arrived within a minute. I did ring customer service then and got no answer, and emails took a while, so that's a bit poor. Still, the transfer itself was quick and efficient, so I'd try them again, though I'll be wary next time.
Driver at the wrong spot
I booked a transfer back to the airport because I had a tight connection and a sore back. I needed a ride. The voucher showed the right pick-up address. The driver turned up saying he was at the wrong location and refused to wait unless I paid extra. He insisted it wasn’t his fault and threatened a no-show. As soon as I agreed to pay he was there in a minute. I phoned Hoppa then and later emailed. No reply. Won’t risk them again.
Port mix-up, no support
I stood at the Port of Rome, sweating over a booking that apparently switched itself to the wrong drop-off. I needed a transfer to Florence, printed my voucher in black and white and the driver refused to accept it — insisted the booking was for central Rome, which wasn’t true. Customer support has been useless for over a month, no real help, and we had to wait ages for a reply, no offer to cover the hundreds of euros we had to spend to get back. Luggage was damaged and I even ended up with a broken hand. Sadly, they didn't even offer an apology. I wouldn’t recommend them.
Nearly missed flight
speeding, lane‑hopping and texting. I asked him to slow down; he didn't. The small win was the refund appearing in my account, at least I didn't lose money, but it was stressful.
Skip Hoppa, take a Hala
I wouldn’t use Hoppa in Dubai again — cheaper and less faff to grab a Hala taxi. We booked through Loveholidays, Hoppa handled transfers, supposedly via RTS Travel. On arrival there was nobody waiting, the contact number they sent was dead, and someone at the airport even tried calling it for me — nothing. I messaged the number, no reply, so was told to get a taxi and claim the cost back. I phoned RTS, no answer; Hoppa said the return was fine, but surprise, no taxi showed for the pickup either, so we had to get a Hala from the hotel. It felt like nobody bothered to chase RTS in Dubai, just shrugged. Annoying, yes, but credit where it’s due: Loveholidays processed the refund after I complained, so at least that was sorted. If you’ve had smoother rides elsewhere with other companies, this will feel clunky and a bit careless.
Quietly relieved
it was a scam that left me short and a bit shaken. Calling her felt like a risk (I was worried it might be another con), but the consultation was straightforward and practical, no flashy promises. She talked me through what was realistic, what documents were needed, and each step to push for a withdrawal. It wasn’t instant, there was a bit of faff, some back-and-forth, and tense moments, but in the end I got my capital back and the profits I’d seen earlier. I don’t love the process, and I’m still cautious, but her approach turned my scepticism into cautious satisfaction.
Smooth transfer, with the odd wobble
he didn’t know the precise house number where we were going. He phoned our apartment contact, sorted it out and gave them an estimated arrival time, so it wasn’t a problem — could have been smoother though. The driving was professional, the car clean and comfortable, and he actually asked if we were warm enough inside which was thoughtful, I suppose, and not something you always get. He helped with the luggage right to the door and wished us a good stay as he left — that bit made a positive impression. So my pre-booking doubts were mostly put to bed; there were a couple of small rough edges but nothing major. Overall I’m relieved and reasonably pleased — I’d use them again for a private transfer, and that’s saying something after past bad experiences.
Airport nerves turned into a chilled ride
I wasn’t sure what to expect — long flight, a dodgy back and a family of three dragging suitcases, so I went in half-expecting delays or hidden fees. Booking was painless though; filled in the form and got a quote pretty much straight away, which helped calm me down a bit. The follow-up emails and the e-ticket with the driver’s name and number felt reassuring, even if I did keep double-checking them in my head. The part I liked was the extra text with clear directions to the meeting spot inside the terminal — that saved us faffing about under those busy arrival boards. When we landed the driver even sent a photo of the exact place he was standing, and had my name on his phone like a little sign, so we found him right away. I showed the e-ticket to be safe and he was polite, introduced himself properly and asked us to follow him to the car. He had the address for our flat but wasn’t certain of the house number, so we rang the apartment contact and sorted it — he then rang the vendor and let them know roughly when we’d get there. The driving was calm and professional; the car smelled clean and was comfy, which mattered because of my back and because the kids needed to nap. He checked whether the temperature was OK, which was a nice touch, and he took our luggage up to the front door when we arrived. He thanked us for using the transfer service and waved as he left, which felt quite friendly and low-key. Overall, my doubts faded — it wasn’t perfect, small bits could’ve been smoother, but for a first-time private transfer with luggage and a bad back, it did exactly what I hoped. We’ll use them again.
Airport transfer booking
I recently booked an airport transfer through a service, but unfortunately, the company assigned to pick us up didn't show up. Despite Hoppa's best efforts to contact them, we were left stranded at the airport in the middle of the night with no communication from the transport provider. It was really stressful, especially as we were in a foreign country and had no idea what to do next. In the end, we had to take matters into our own hands and make alternative arrangements to get to our accommodation.
Airport Transfers
I recently arranged for airport transfers to and from Prevesa. It all went really smoothly and hassle-free. The drivers were really friendly and efficient, especially Elizabeth who met us at the airport and showed us to our taxi. The journey back was also right on time. Getting SMS messages the day before each trip was also really useful. All in all, I was really happy with the service and would definitely suggest it to others.
Efficient, professional, and friendly service
Don't bother looking anywhere else, honestly. This service is absolutely fantastic! From the minute I made the booking to when I got dropped off, it was all just smooth sailing. The coach was so clean, the driver was really nice and knew their stuff, and the price was unbeatable. I couldn't have hoped for a better experience, honestly.
Booking transportation, easy but not perfect
I booked a ride with this company pretty easily, but I didn't get an email confirming my booking. Then, when I tried to book another ride using my account, I had to put in my email and log in again halfway through. They should really improve this to make it easier for customers like me. Cheers!
Booking transportation via an easy-to-use mobile app
I've just used a transport booking app to arrange a ride for my next trip. It was really easy to use and showed me all the different prices for each type of travel. After I made my booking, I quickly got a confirmation email which was a relief knowing that everything was sorted. Now, I'm just waiting for another email with the pickup details, as they said they'd send it 7 days before my trip. It's all coming together nicely!
Airport transfer with friendly driver
Booking the airport transfer was really easy, and the texts they sent were so helpful. They sent us a link with all the details we needed, which made everything very straightforward. The driver who picked us up was really nice and made us feel welcome, which was a lovely way to start our holiday. The return journey was just as good, with the driver coming early, helping us with our bags, and even giving us some drinks. It was a brilliant experience from start to finish.
Taxi transfer service
I've got to say, I've used this taxi transfer service quite a few times now and it's always been pretty good. The only slight issue is that every now and then, the transfer time can be a bit longer depending on where you're staying. But overall, I'd say it's a reliable and efficient service.
Reliable and affordable service
This service is really easy to use, with great prices and super reliable. I've used it in loads of different countries and I wouldn't go anywhere else now. It's honestly such a reliable and budget-friendly choice that I'd recommend to anyone travelling.
Last-minute airport transfer booking
I usually use Hoppa for my holiday transfers. However, when I recently booked a last-minute flight and tried to organize a transfer from the airport to my hotel with Hoppa, I ran into a problem. Unfortunately, I couldn't make the booking because it was less than 24 hours before the pick-up time. I get that the drivers face challenges when planning their routes, but it was disappointing not being able to use the service I rely on for safe and punctual transportation. Now I'm not sure which other company to use in similar situations, as Hoppa has always been my trusted choice for transfers. It's not Hoppa's fault, but I can't help feeling frustrated.
Airport transfer booking
The service we got from Hoppa was fantastic. Our flight was delayed really early in the morning, but the transfer was on time and super smooth. We only had to hang around for 15 minutes before we were off to Cala Dor, which was just right. I was really impressed with how easy it was to book and the prices were very fair. Honestly, I wouldn't think twice about booking with them again.
Airport transfer service
The airport transfer service from this company was brilliant! We were picked up on time by a minibus at the airport and taken straight to our hotel with no problems at all. The company kept in touch really well, sending emails and text messages with all the details for our return trip and pick up location a couple of days before. It made travelling really easy and stress-free. We'll definitely be booking with them again for our next trips.

About Hoppa
Hoppa is an airport transfer company. They started out as a worldwide airport transfer provider. That was back in 2004 when they were still known as ResortHoppa. There are two services that this company offers and they both have to do with cars. Their first offer is airport transfers and other rides. That means a driver picks you up at home or at your hotel and brings you to the airport. At the end of your trip, they will deliver you to your home or to your holiday hotel. They can also offer rides to other locations. Another service offered by Hoppa is car hire. They can provide you with a rental vehicle for the duration of your holiday or just for a day or two. Then, you will be able to discover more of the country you are visiting because you have more freedom. It’s a car rental comparison website, so they don’t have their own cars.
