Funny thing, the first sign was a small card on the mat and the router turned up earlier than I expected. Set-up was a bit fiddly; the WiFi dropped a few times on my phone, my Echo Dot cut out and the Ring buffered when I tried Netflix, so not perfect. I phoned customer service a couple of times and one agent actually listened, organised a tech visit and sorted a billing mix-up with my previous provider — took a bit of chasing but they fixed it. I live alone so I need it for streaming and work calls; since the visit it's been steadier. Delivery was quick and the support was mostly helpful, so I'm pleased.
Not worth the stress
I almost backed out before I signed up because I'd seen reports of hidden fees and pushy follow ups, and I was right to be wary. I use it for a small, regular monthly bill so I thought it would be simple — it's not. They started hassling me about a payment a day early and even tried to add a late fee to a bill that wasn't due yet. After a long, stressful phone call I got it sorted, but the constant calls and emails really spiked my anxiety and made the whole thing much more draining than it needed to be. The core service works, but dealing with them is the worst part.
Slot shifted, left offline for weeks
I was told it was Openreach who moved the slot and my provider couldn’t reverse it. I asked to move the engineer earlier when I found out my previous contract actually finished sooner than I realised — that request was refused and I had to cancel one booking. After signing the new contract I chased support several times. They said they’d contact Openreach and get back to me; they didn’t. I also filed feedback with Openreach and was advised to push my provider to escalate. I did, asked explicitly for a callback, but that never came either. In the end the install happened and the service itself is fine, speeds were as promised, no fuss once someone turned up, but the communication and delivery scheduling were poor and left me offline for longer than necessary. Not a disaster, but certainly more friction than needed.
That moment I finally relaxed
I’d signed up ages ago and at first it was fine, nothing to write home about. I cancelled the service over six months ago, cleared the last bill and thought job done. Only it wasn’t — they kept trying to take money, and in a few cases actually did. Stopping the direct debit didn’t seem to work, getting a new card didn’t help, they somehow set up new debits without asking. I was sceptical, kept chasing, they promised to call back and didn’t. I’d moved to a new supplier at the end of October and still they persisted. The point I felt actually satisfied was when I’d gathered enough evidence — emails, recorded calls, proof of cancellation — and started building a case, involving the bank with fraud claims. Finally felt in control, at last.
Billing that forgot to stop
this was a let-down. After four years with the broadband I thought I was done — I gave verbal notice well before the contract ended because the price went up and I was switching to another provider. I even rang on the day the contract expired to double-check the account would be closed. Job done, I thought. Apparently not. They kept charging me for a month after I'd stopped using the service, and that was the start of the mess. The transfer from the new provider (4th Utility) apparently wasn’t fully processed, they say, so the billing continued. Fine, mistakes happen — but it’s the follow-up that annoyed me. I phoned iTalk a number of times to sort it out and every time I was told their response team would call me back to explain. Instead I kept getting voicemail notifications that they had tried to contact me. Thing is, my phone was working — I checked with friends ringing me — and often the "call" landed straight in voicemail without the phone ever ringing. On 2 September 2025 I was right next to the phone when a message appeared; it didn’t ring once. It felt like they were using ringless voicemail or a voice-drop system so the complaints team avoided a real conversation. So the cycle repeated: I call, I wait, I get a voicemail, no proper explanation, and the charge stays. It’s disappointing because the actual broadband service had been fine for years and I was generally pleased with it. There’s a slight irritation still — this should have been a quick admin fix but turned into a drawn-out hassle. I’m not angry, just weary of the runaround and the lack of clear, human communication. If you want reliable billing and responsive support, I’d look elsewhere; if you’re only after the service itself and don’t mind potential billing troubles when you leave, it’s tolerable.

I have tried to cancel my mothers account as she is in hospital and possibly going to live in a residential home because she has dementia and no capacity and immobile. She will not be going back to her little council flat..l tried to cancel the £43.00 account for her land line which is more than l pay for broadband,tv,with Netflix and mobile.I cannot cancel this account without power of attorney,or a letterhead letter from the nursing home or a court order OR COPY OF A DEATH CERTIFICATE SHOULD MY MOTHER DIE..to cancel the phone line to a flat my mother will no longer live in,and the unhelpful Bradley and his equally unhelpful colleague Riley want my demented mother who can’t use a comb or knife and fork to phone them and do the data protection garbage to cancel this miserable company’s over priced account.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS..US VIRGIN,BT OR EE FOR YOUR TELECOMMUNICATIONS,THIS COMPANY IS AWFULContract change
I've been with the talking people for about 2 years now, and when it was time to switch to a new contract, I gave them a call and they were really quick and helpful. The service was great and I even got a discount. So, big thanks for sorting everything out for me!
Care centre services
I was really pleased with how professional and helpful the staff at the care centre were. It was such a relief to be able to understand everything they were saying without any language barriers. All in all, it was a pleasure doing business with them.
Broadband package purchase
I just bought a broadband package from this company and I've got to say, I was really let down by the false information they gave me. They told me one monthly price at first, but then when I got the confirmation email, the price had gone up out of the blue. And on top of that, they said I'd have to pay for delivery of the router, but the email said something different. Their communication was all over the place and not very honest, which has made me doubt their services now.
Quick and efficient assistance
I recently contacted an agent called ROISIN for some assistance with my account and I was really impressed by how professional, friendly, and efficient she was. She quickly resolved all my questions and made everything run so smoothly and easily. If only all customer service agents could be as good as her!
Quick and easy broadband setup
I decided to go with broadband from italk and I have to say, I was really impressed with how straightforward the whole process was. The prices were really reasonable and I had no issues at all choosing the speed that I needed. The website was so easy to use and navigate, which made it a doddle to put in my order.
Broadband service
This company gives the worst broadband service I've ever had. The internet keeps cutting out and the speeds are awful. And to top it off, their customer service is absolutely terrible - they'll even call and shout at you if you mention leaving. I suggest checking out reviews on another website for honest feedback on what they offer.
Easy Email Confirmation
I was just trying to book something online but got a bit stuck, so I decided to drop them an email for some help. The lady who replied was really lovely and guided me through the process. She did speak a tad quickly, so I didn't catch everything, but she sent me a confirmation email in the end, and it all got sorted out. I'm pleased with the service I received.
Quick and easy sign-up process
Signing up was really easy and user-friendly, even for me - not the best with technology. Being a single parent with four kids and a disability, I was really impressed with how smooth and quick it was to join as a customer.
Quick and straightforward purchase
I've just made a purchase with this company and I have to say, I was really impressed with how quick and easy the ordering process was. I've been a customer with them before and I can definitely say they are reliable and efficient. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a smooth experience.
New router purchase
I bought a new router because my internet was slow due to buffering. But the new router kept losing connection every 15 minutes, which was really annoying. Even though it was new, the company wouldn't accept that the router was faulty and wanted me to pay to fix it.
Customer service experience
I recently had the pleasure of speaking to a lovely lady named Chloe from the customer service team. It was a bit tricky to get through at first, but once I did, it was a breeze. Chloe was not only professional, but also really friendly and quick in sorting everything out. Thanks to her, I am a happy customer and would definitely recommend this service to my loved ones.
Signed up recently
I joined a couple of days back and everything seems fine. Luckily, I haven't been billed yet, you know how some companies bill you before they even start. Hopefully, they won't charge me now that I've said it out loud!
Upgraded to fibre broadband
My regular broadband contract was about to end, so I thought I'd ask about switching to fibre. The company ended up giving me a better deal on fibre broadband after some back and forth, which was a nice surprise. Getting it all set up was easy and went without a hitch, and I've been enjoying faster internet speeds ever since. I'm happy with the service they've given me.
Customer care feedback
I've been with this company for a few months now and I must say, their customer service is brilliant! Whenever I have a problem, I just give them a ring and they are always quick to respond. The staff are really friendly and supportive. If they can't solve my issue, they bring in a specialist to help me. And if it's not their fault, they even organise for someone else to come and sort it out. I'm really pleased with the customer service here!
