    New customer fibre connection

    As a new customer around here, I recently ordered a fibre connection from KCOM. I was really impressed with how fast they got in touch to sort out the activation, showing they were right on the ball. It was great that they knew my place didn't have fibre yet, proving they pay attention and know their stuff. On activation day, two engineers turned up right on time - one in the morning to get the fibre to the house, and another in the afternoon to finish up inside. Everything went really smoothly, thanks to the great communication within the company. All in all, I was really impressed with the efficient and knowledgeable service from KCOM.

    Fiber internet installation

    I just wanted to say a big thank you to Adam, Brandon, and Dean for doing such a great job installing my fiber internet. They were really professional and knew exactly what they were doing. They showed up on time, kept me in the loop about everything, and got the job done quickly. The quality of their work was top-notch, and I'm really happy with how smoothly everything went.     Broadband service transfer experience

    It's a bit of a shortcoming in the service to just assume that everyone knows all about technology and technical jargon. Using clearer explanations and simpler language could really help out those who might not be as up to date with all the latest tech stuff. It can make a real difference during the switch over if we just ask about things like the phone brand or the ONT box. It might also be a good idea to include a YouTube video to show how things are done visually, which could benefit customers who aren't as tech-savvy.

    Oh my gosh, I was just doing my thing when out of the blue this random contact got in touch with me. The person on the other end was really helpful and made everything seem like a piece of cake. The part arrived the very next day, and I was amazed at how quickly it got to me. It was put in place on the exact day I needed it, and everything went without a hitch. I was so relieved that everything turned out just right!

    Full-fibre internet connection upgrade

    I had my broadband installed recently by two technicians from the company, Derek and Dan. The installation went really smoothly and they were both very professional. Everything was done efficiently with no problems at all. They didn't leave any mess behind which was great. I was really impressed with the service provided by KCOM.

    Adaptor fitting without engineer

    The staff handled the migration process really well, which made everything simple. It was a bit tricky to fit the adaptor without the engineer there because it had to be done from under the modem, which is quite low. But all in all, it wasn't a bad experience at all! 👍

    My recent experience with the migration process was really disappointing. Even though they told me a date for everything to happen, it didn't go as planned. I got calls, emails, and a letter about it, but when I got in touch with them, all they said was that it was still in progress without any more details.

    KCOM have been in control of the market for too long with their overpriced services and unreliable connections. It's really frustrating to see them taking advantage of customers in the area like this. Let's be honest, their rates are just way too high, and most of the time, their service doesn't even work properly! It's definitely time for a change, and I've had enough of their poor service. If you're in their coverage area, do yourself a favour and check out other options like Telstra. Believe me, you'll save a lot of money and won't have to deal with KCOM's nonsense anymore. Don't wait around like Rishi Sunak - switch now!

    Installation experience keywords

    The guys who came to do the installation were really professional and efficient, which was great. But, I have to say, the person who sold us the service didn't give us all the right info about how it would all work. The survey they did wasn't very detailed, so the installation ended up taking longer and was more disruptive than we thought. The salesman didn't tell us everything we needed to know about how the installation would go, which was a bit annoying and surprising for us. Plus, there were some things in the terms and conditions that weren't what we were told by the salesperson. Despite all these issues, the Wi-Fi service itself seems to be working fine.

    Changed over to a new internet provider

    Today I changed my internet provider and got set up by Derek and Dan. These guys were really nice and got everything done quickly and properly. I'm really happy with the service they gave.

    Post fibre installation issues

    The engineers who came to install the fibre at our home were really nice and knew what they were doing, which was a good start. But then we had some problems after it was all set up that left us feeling a bit frustrated.
    First off, when they switched our phone from copper to fibre, they didn't do it quite right. Outgoing calls worked fine on the new fibre line, but incoming calls still came through on the old copper line. It took a couple of days to sort this out, which was a bit of a pain for us.
    On top of that, we found out that caller ID wasn't set up on our new fibre line. It took a few more days after we got in touch with customer service to get that fixed.
    And to add to all that, when we got our bill, it was wrong because they charged us at the higher rate for our old copper line. So, we had to give customer service another call to sort out the billing problem.
    Overall, it wasn't great having to get in touch with Kcom multiple times to sort out these issues after the installation was done.

    Printer purchase

    The person who came to set up my TV and landline didn't even ask if I needed help with my printer too. Now my printer doesn't work, so I had to call customer service to sort it out. It was a bit disappointing overall.
