Key points to consider when choosing a telecom provider
There are currently so many companies offering telecom services and so many marketing techniques to catch hold of new customers, which makes it harder to see through the many offers and decide which provider to choose. The most relevant thing to keep in mind is that the provider should be a company that aligns best with your needs. Here are three basic qualities to look for when choosing a service provider:
Network reliability - check that the network is a fully converged one with a consolidated infrastructure that includes IP, Ethernet and optical technologies. Network convergence includes the coexistence of video, voice and data communication. Also, security and stability is a main concern, so always check that the network has all the needed protection to prevent service attacks, that it has the ability to restore their services fast with minimum or no impact to your activity and that the systems are constantly updated to offer the latest technology so it avoids performance issues and won’t stall the growth of your business.
Offers and support - check what products and services are provided by the company that best suit your needs. Telecom providers should offer a good amount of customization and options for their products and services that adapt to your specific needs. Some of us need more data, some need more voice, some need faster internet, etc. Make sure you are choosing the best option depending on your activity and that these options also don’t come with unnecessary burdens of services and expenses that you aren’t interested in.
Customer support - make sure they have quality customer support. There are so many occasions in which a client doesn’t get offered the best products or the assistance they need just because the company doesn’t consider the importance of keeping their clients happy and helping them when in need. Customer support should be effective, treat you with respect and have communication skills. This is essential to make sure your experience with your provider turns out to be a positive one.
Considering these main points should help you decide the right telecom provider for your home or business. Another great way to help you decide your network provider is to read customer reviews about these companies. Here are some telecom services that you may want to look into:

i was looking for a broadband service provider for my office and i found Plusnet. They are providing my services for last 4 years and i must say their serb=vices are really above than average. also their support system and services all other helpful stuff are great I=The broadband's speed is also extremely nice, of i ever face any problem then i can call Plusnet and they will repair it soon.i really recommend if you are running an office where you are looking for a trusworthy company who can provide broadband service then you should go with them,
On reflection, I've made some bad choices, but one of the worst has been moving broadband to Plusnet (a wholly owned subsiduary of BT). Now my previous provider albeit more expensive was providing me a service of 65-70mg download, since my move less than 12 weeks ago, my download has never gone above 55mg, with a guaranteed min of 44mg, My TV streaming apps no longer function like they used to, my gaming platforms have not functioned since my move, Ive lost count the number of issues logged with Plusnet, none have been resolved, In fustration I requested termination of services as issues with service not resolved. Plusnet advise owing to no breech of service, termination will cost £148.00. Nothings changed in my life except my broadband provider, so if your happy with your providers service, but the price has increased may I suggest you stay as moving to Plusnet definately won't enhance your satisfaction based my experiences. Good Luck, hope you found this review helpful.
I took out a two year contract for phone and broadband paying line rental saver upfront. They only allow you to pay one year line saver upfront. They sent me a reminder TWO MONTHS prior to expiry. I expected this to be automatically renewed using DD. Conveniently they sent no further reminders (unlike most services I receive who have the courtesy to inform you a week prior to renewal) Consequently I ended up paying a couple of days late and Plusnet financially penalized me for doing so. The arrogant advisor informed me he was there as an enforcer of the rules they conveniently make up.
I completed a new DD with another bank for the monthly bill. I was informed as usual by PlusNet that the monthly bill was ready and the amount would be taken out from the 21st onwards. Today I was informed that they had been unable to collect the £4.5 bill amount and requesting me to pay within 14 days. I paid within 10 minutes of receiving this email. I then received a total of FIVE reminders to pay within an hour (before and after they had acknowledged payment)
Strange how they can conveniently send various email, text and webpage reminders the day the BB payment is due yet can only send one email TWO MONTHS prior to LRS being due for renewal. I suspect it's because many of the customers fall into the trap I did and consequently get penalised for it.
Have now constantly read about PlusNet's extremely poor customer care, I can guarantee that they will lose at least 3 customers because of this poor service.
The worst customer services their adverts about good customer services is untrue
I signed up to Plusnet after a reasonable spell with sky who incidentally have excellent customer services I signed up online and through a glitch on their website ended up being charging twice! So I had the unpleasant experience of having to get in contact with an agent, this took me over 60 minutes to get through to an advisor! My contract was arranged on the 17th of October and I waited patiently for my router to arrive I finally gave up today (21st November) and after another 60 minute wait to get through to an advisor cancelled my account and now have to wait up to 30 days to get a refund The thing that is very clear is that Plusnet has the worst customer services of any of the big broadband providers, even worse than Talk Talk which is really saying something! So anyone reading this please be careful, Plusnet make big claims about their customer services but the truth is that this is completely misleading They are dysfunctional and virtually impossible to get in contact with, I did not receive the service I signed up to even though they were quick to take my money. I rank plusnet the worst broadband service provider with the worst customer services
