    Using the map on the website to find a location was a nightmare. It was so slow and kept going back to the full map. Luckily, once I found the accommodations I wanted to look at, the rest of the process was simple and easy.

    Reservation cancelled due to system error, moved to a later date

    I was really looking forward to my holiday in February, but the company went and cancelled my reservation, saying there was some kind of silly system error. They rescheduled it for July, which was a huge inconvenience for me. I tried reaching out to them multiple times through calls, chats, and emails to get a refund, but it seemed like they were just ignoring me. I even got Test Buying's legal team involved, but still, nothing was done. It turns out, many other people have had issues with this company, but no action seems to be taken. They just waited until the cancellation period was over so they could hold onto my money. It's just not right!

    Last minute cancellation

    Our holiday got called off out of the blue with no explanation from the company. We felt really let down and stressed about it. We'd been so excited for this holiday for ages, so having it cancelled at the eleventh hour was a real blow. The fact that the company didn't bother to keep us in the loop just made things worse. Now we're just waiting nervously for our refund, hoping it comes soon so we can figure something else out. All in all, a pretty rubbish experience we wish we could've dodged.

    Booking experience in a few keywords

    Oh, hey there! We had a blast sorting out our holiday plans with Belvilla. Everything was going swimmingly until we tried to pay with our EC card and ran into a bit of a hiccup. It was a bit disappointing because we were really looking forward to our stay at the amazing place we booked. Fingers crossed that the payment problem gets fixed sharpish!

    Villa with Pool Booking

    I've just booked this really nice villa with a pool, right? But get this, they've just gone and told me last minute that the place isn't available anymore, all because of some dodgy "business" excuse. Can you actually believe it? And now they want me to make do with a tiny mobile home that's only 30m²! It's like not even a quarter of what I originally booked! Honestly, I feel like they're totally pulling my leg.

    I've booked a lovely place for our family holiday, but there's a problem - I have no idea where it is! When I booked online, all I could see was a dot on a map. The confirmation only gave me the city and said the owner's details will be sent later. Plus, I couldn't even confirm my phone number or email on the website, so I ended up having to email customer service twice!

    Holiday rental experience

    My experience with the holiday rental was really disappointing. I had booked in advance, but the reservation got cancelled at the last minute, which was totally unexpected.     Terrible Villa Experience

    Oh my gosh, it was the worst experience ever! I booked this amazing villa in France, but when we arrived, the owner didn't even know we were supposed to be there, and the place was a complete disaster. We had to scramble to find another place at the last minute in the middle of the night - it was a nightmare!

    Customer service assured me that I would get a refund, but it's taking forever, and I still haven't received anything! I am so angry right now.

    Family holiday rental

    This place was an absolute disaster! We arranged to stay in a holiday home for our family and it was totally different to what we saw in the pictures online. The property was in a terrible condition, with dead plants in the garden and hardly any decorations inside. The bathroom was really dim, which made it tricky to get to at night, plus there was no sense of privacy as you had to walk through one bedroom to reach another. There was no wi-fi, the toilet was broken, and the quality of the furniture and fittings was really poor. We ended up having to fork out for different accommodation after a long journey.

    Booking cancelled last minute

    I was really let down by the holiday rental company I used. On the day we were supposed to leave, I still hadn't gotten the access codes for the house I booked in the Ardennes. I had to contact customer service myself, and it was a struggle to communicate with them. As we were on our way to the Ardennes, I got an email saying the house wasn't available because of operational issues. It completely messed up our weekend plans.

    Booking accommodation disappointment

    I recently sorted out some accommodation for a holiday in June, which was paid for in full back in January. Unfortunately, I got a call in April, just two months before we were due to go, from the company saying that the place we booked wasn't available anymore. They offered us three other options, but none of them suited us. After reluctantly agreeing to one of the alternatives in the same villa complex, I was then told that one was also unavailable, leaving us in a bit of a mess with flights and car rentals already organised. The company's lack of communication and organisation has been really disappointing, and has made me and my friends very unhappy with the whole situation. From my perspective, I'd recommend steering clear of booking with this company to avoid having similar problems.

    Booking cancellation and compensation

    I was really let down by the service from that company. They cancelled our booking right at the last minute and we had to rush to find somewhere else to stay. The places they offered us weren't anywhere near as good as what we had booked originally - a private house with a pool. Even though we're home owners and usually get a 20% discount, they didn't offer us any compensation for all the hassle the cancellation caused us.

    Unusual but comfy stay

    The place I stayed in was really unusual but cool. It felt like being in an old bunker within a modern house. The bunker section was like a mini museum and it was so exciting to sleep there. The beds were old but surprisingly comfy. The upstairs was all modern and had everything you'd need for a comfortable stay.

    The accommodation options available are quite good with a range of choices to pick from. It would help if there was an architectural layout of all the accommodations to make choosing the best one easier. Right now, customers have to spend a lot of time scrolling through pictures, which can be a bit tedious. The website itself is a bit sluggish and takes a while to respond, which can be irritating. Also, the map function on the site is a bit frustrating as it tends to zoom out unexpectedly, showing half of Europe instead of the desired view.

    Family celebration booking cancellation

    Back in December, I went ahead and booked a big house in Vlagtwedde for 24 people to mark my husband's 70th birthday, with all the family - kids, grandkids, and partners included. Everyone had cleared their schedules for that weekend. However, come April, I got a message saying the booking had been cancelled because of some issues they were having. When I asked for more details, they couldn't give me a straight answer. We asked for a refund, but it took nearly 4 weeks to come through. It caused a lot of hassle and dashed our hopes for a special family get-together. The lack of communication and slow refund process showed really bad service on their part. So, we've decided we won't be using their services again in the future.

    Refund delay after tour cancellation

    I found it really easy to cancel my booking, but the trouble started when I was waiting for my refund. I cancelled within the free cancellation period, but it's been more than a month now and I'm still waiting for my money back. The lack of communication and clarity about the refund process has been really annoying.     I had a really disappointing experience with this company recently. They said they welcome German guests on their website but then only communicated in English, which was just the start of the problems. They charged me more than we agreed and when I had to cancel my booking because I was ill, I didn't get a refund. I got a confirmation of the cancellation straight away, but I'm still waiting for my money. None of the email addresses I've tried have replied to my questions, and all the companies involved (VRBO, Belvilla, and the homeowners) are blaming each other. If I'd read the reviews first, I wouldn't have booked with them. It's really frustrating, and now I'm feeling like I'll never use them again, and I'm struggling to get my money back.
