When it comes to booking hotels, one of the main things I look at is the reviews of the property. I think online reviews really help me understand the quality and service of the hotel, so I can choose where to stay wisely. But, I've noticed there aren't as many hotel reviews on this platform as on others, which is a bit disappointing. I hope that HotelsCombined can work on getting more reviews on their platform so we customers have more info before booking. Even though this is a downside, I have to say the site is well-organised and makes it easy to search and compare different hotel options.

I felt really let down by this company. I showed them evidence of the proper advertising I'd done on Google and Facebook, but they went ahead and accused me of using bots and shut down my account. Because of that, I never got the money I was supposed to. It was so frustrating and unfair, and it's left me feeling pretty disappointed with the whole thing.

Hotel room booking experience
I booked a hotel room in Dubai not long ago using a third-party website I found on HotelsCombined. It turned out that the website was having financial trouble and went bankrupt, which was a real pain during my trip. My experience with this service
My experience with this service was absolutely frustrating and disappointing, mate. I started using this platform back on the 20th of October 2022 with a decent amount of dosh in my account. But, lo and behold, they'd gone and sacked me off from every platform, leaving me high and dry without access to my funds. When I tried getting me money out, they had the cheek to tell me I needed to cough up a whopping £3700 before I could make a withdrawal - something I just couldn't swing. I followed me agent's advice and chucked in a grand, only for them to come round asking for another £1000 because I supposedly owed them £11000. The customer service lot just kept asking for more and more money, saying the company would cover the rest and I'd eventually see my funds again. Unbelievably, after numerous attempts at withdrawing, they hit me with a rejection and said I had to scrounge up the full £3700 before they'd let me have my own money back. And as if that wasn't a big enough kick in the teeth, when I finally got in touch with me agent on the 5th of December, I found out they'd gone and booted me off the platform.
Booking experience disappointment
I recently tried booking a hotel with HotelsCombined and it left me pretty disappointed. I made sure to check that the price I saw included all taxes and was in AUD, but when I got charged, they added taxes again and did a double conversion to AUD and then to SGD. I had booked a room at Orchard Parade in Singapore and on top of all that, it was a non-refundable booking. All in all, I felt like I had been taken advantage of and I would advise others to be careful in similar situations.
Scam at hotels
Oh, it was the worst experience! I stayed at these really posh hotels, ended up losing a whole bunch of money from my account, and then found out it was all just a big scam. Thankfully, I'm managing to get some of my money back now but it was such a stress-filled situation!
Incorrect Pricing Display
I recently had a go at booking a fancy room at a hotel online and boy was I surprised to see that it was listed at £18 per night. But when I tried to book it, the price shot up to £24 or £25 per night for a room that was not as nice. What's worse is that even after a few days, the wrong prices were still up, making me even more annoyed and unsure about what to do.

Booking cancellation issue
I had a really bad experience with a booking I made through a hotel comparison website not long ago. When I got to where I was going, they told me my reservation had actually been cancelled a month earlier without letting me know. So, I was left stuck with nowhere to stay and out of money. I tried reaching out to my travel insurance and credit card company to get my cash back but had no luck. The website I used, which says it's trusted by loads of people, hasn't been much help in sorting this mess out. Seems like they've gone under, and the company dealing with it isn't responding. The fact that they're not communicating or taking responsibility is really worrying.
