12–6, 3–7. The oddest thing — an engineer turned up at 22:40 with no warning and left. Can't say it's professional, really.
Booked, worried, sorted
Half expected the engineer to be a myth — after last year's no‑show and a dodgy quote I was sceptical. They gave dates to pick, phoned the day before with a window and rang again half an hour out. Friendly bloke, talked me through the checks and recapped at the end. I rang the office with a follow‑up question and they sorted it on the phone, quick. Felt proper relieved, not fussed now.
Cold morning, small win
43 — email cancelling the slot. No hot water, no heating. Rang them. They offered a slot in four days. I was not happy. After a bit of kicking off (a bit of a faff) they managed to squeeze me in the next morning. Engineer was decent, quick hands and a shrug, and oddly the towel rail warmed up so breakfast was less grim. He said parts might be needed and they'd phone to authorise. No call. I chased them and they were clueless. Useful fix, poor follow-up. Bit frustrating, really.
Boiler Cover
Formal Complaint Regarding Boiler Cover with YourRepair
I purchased boiler cover with YourRepair in good faith, seeking peace of mind and assurance that my boiler would be maintained in a safe and reliable condition. Unfortunately, when a problem arose, my experience was far from satisfactory.
The boiler began emitting an excessively loud, high-pitched noise, which not only caused significant concern for us as homeowners but also disturbed our neighbours. We were worried that this fault could lead to a breakdown or, worse still, pose a safety risk. Despite repeated requests for assistance, YourRepair refused to attend and inspect the boiler on the grounds that it was still functioning, and that such noise issues are not covered under the plan.
This position is wholly unreasonable. No working boiler should produce noises so severe that they can be heard up to 500–600 metres away. To dismiss such a fault as inconsequential is unacceptable and undermines the very purpose of boiler cover. The situation caused us such distress that we felt compelled to order a replacement boiler from British Gas at our own expense.
When I sought either a refund or cancellation of my contract, YourRepair declined. This refusal further demonstrates a lack of customer care and disregard for the obligations implied by the cover.
I therefore wish to make it clear to prospective customers: the small print of YourRepair’s boiler plans excludes cover for faults that manifest as noise. In practice, this means that even when a boiler is evidently faulty and causing significant disruption, the company assumes all is well. This is misleading and fails to provide the peace of mind that customers reasonably expect when purchasing such cover.Drip that started a saga
I reported what the plumber found and then waited, and waited — four working days before they said washers aren't covered. Annoying, but oddly the plumber himself was great, proper friendly and fixed a temporary seal so I wasn't panicking, which surprised me. So helpful on the day, rubbish at follow‑up; feels like I’m the one doing all the chasing.
Good cover — until you need help
one asked for a solicitor's letter to prove I’d moved, the next said that wouldn't change anything, and another admitted they can't service my new boiler yet still said I can't cancel without a fee. I asked them to stop the auto‑renew and was told they "can't do that for anyone", then someone promised a callback to check it, and after a third call they just sent a message. It does the job when all's normal, but sorting problems is a real faff and inconsistent.
Boiler shuffle
don’t rely on the portal alone, ring up, get the contractor’s name in writing and keep records. I’m sceptical but a bit relieved they will at least reallocate when pushed.
A proper sigh of relief
the usual runaround, clauses I’d missed and no quick fix. I was annoyed, to be honest, and stuck wondering if I'd just paid for nothing. Then, out of sheer frustration, I rang a local firm recommended by a mate. They turned up the next day, sorted the leak in an hour and actually explained what was wrong without baffling legalese. That moment — coffee in hand while the heating kicked in — I felt properly relieved. Bit of a surprise how smooth it was compared to the other lot. So lesson learnt: read the fine print, and if you can, go with someone local who actually turns up and fixes things.
Cold mornings, quick fix
working from home, trying to warm the kids, endless kettles. Eventually I couldn't stand it, so I bit the bullet, called a local engineer and ordered the part myself (turned out dozens of suppliers had it). Within three days it was all sorted for under £240. I mean, that's not glamorous, but relief... wow. So my original worries about being fobbed off? Mostly justified, but in the end I sorted it and I'm glad I pushed back. Still, it felt like they were happy to write the boiler off; whether there's some link to a replacement‑fitter I can't prove, it just smells odd. Useful if you know what you're doing; otherwise, be careful.
Cold for six weeks
our boiler stopped working in October and we were left without heating or hot water for 42 days while the firm kept saying the unit was "beyond economic repair" and that parts weren't available. Their engineers were slow to turn up, slow to communicate, and offered no clear delivery date for parts. It felt like stonewalling. I got fed up, rang a local engineer, ordered the part myself from an online supplier and the whole thing was back up within three days for under £240 — yes under £240. So, skeptical at first, a bit bitter, then relieved. Customer service and delivery from the original company were poor, repeatedly. It also seemed odd that they push for replacements rather than repairs, which raised eyebrows. Wouldn't trust them to manage a timely fix, but a local engineer sorted it once I took matters into my own hands.
Boiler repair service
I recently had to get my boiler fixed and I must say, I was really impressed with the service I received. They kept me in the loop every step of the way, with regular updates which was great. The engineer who came was on time, really nice, and knew what they were doing. I also liked how they made sure to update my information when they realised it was out of date. Overall, it was a really good and dependable service.
Boiler service by engineer from an unnamed company
The engineer from the company was a bit late for the boiler service appointment, but at least he did give me a ring to let me know. The service itself seemed pretty quick compared to what I've had in the past from different companies. I just hope he didn't rush it and actually did a proper job. Unfortunately, he didn't give me any paperwork to show what was actually done during the service.
Annual service and repair work
I've been with this company for a good few years now, and I must say I've always been happy with the service they provide. Whenever there's been a hiccup, they've sorted it out sharpish. What's really nice is that they throw in an annual service with the deal. The bloke who came to do the service checks was bang on time, quick at his job, and he let me know when he was on his way.
Boiler service
I had my boiler serviced on the day we planned with the engineer. It all went really well, and the service was top-notch. I'm really pleased with how it turned out!
Engineer Politeness and Efficiency
I was really impressed with the service I got from the engineer who came to my house. He was so polite and friendly, and really knew his stuff. He gave me some great advice about my boiler system, which I found really helpful. The service overall was top-notch, and I was especially happy with the fair price of the contract. Thanks a lot for the fantastic service.
Quick and efficient service
My friend was at home when the engineer came to service the boiler and he reckoned he did a really good job. It's always nice to hear positive feedback, especially when you've spent money on a service.
Quick and efficient service
I had to get something fixed and I found this company that was really quick and efficient. Their website was so easy to use and I could easily raise my issue online. Then Gabriel, the plumber, arrived and he was the coolest guy. He fixed the problem quickly and was really nice and helpful. I wish all tradespeople were like him!
Quick and efficient service
I was really impressed with the great service and efficiency of this company. Everything went really smoothly from ordering to delivery, and I didn't have any problems at all. The prices were fair too, especially considering how well I was looked after. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable service.
Boiler repair service
I needed my boiler fixed not too long ago and I must say, I was really impressed with the way YourRepair handled everything. The person I spoke to on the phone was really friendly and made me feel at ease straight away. They were quick to assure me that they would take care of my issue in a timely and professional manner. I was given all the details about the different options and costs without any trouble, which I found really helpful. The service I received was fantastic and the work was carried out with real care and expertise. I am very thankful for the outstanding service I got from YourRepair.
Boiler repair service
The guy who came to fix our boiler was really great. He pointed out a grimy part that was all blocked up and even showed us a photo of another one he fixed. He sorted out the high pressure issue without trying to push us into getting a new boiler like the previous person did. He said we didn't need a new one just yet. Plus, he kindly gave us a key for bleeding our radiators. Such a nice and knowledgeable guy, not arrogant at all. Really pleased with his work!
