I wouldn’t order from Yougarden alone again — QVC stepping in was the only reason this didn’t end up properly awful. I ordered the black garden tubs they’d been showing on TV but, predictably, what arrived didn’t match the presentation. I’d phoned QVC first and asked them to note my concerns on my account, and thank goodness they did, because when the tubs turned out wrong I could send photos and they admitted they weren’t the ones shown. No invoice came with the delivery — they’re sent straight from Yougarden — which felt odd. I did try ringing Yougarden myself and it was unlucky: the person I spoke to talked over me and didn’t seem interested, which was really frustrating. This isn’t a one-off for me either — I’ve had plants from them in the past arrive dead or bone dry, badly packaged, and once the free rose feed was actually past its date. So yes, some things turn up, but not reliably and customer service can be rude or non-existent. My sister’s had a bad experience too, and now my family avoid them. If you’re tempted, my advice is to buy through a retailer like QVC who will back you up, and take photos straight away if something’s off. I wanted those large pots — they looked perfect — but it’s just not worth the stress unless you have an extra pair of hands (or QVC) to sort it if it goes wrong.
Inbox adopted me
Halfway through making a sandwich I realised I'd got yet another of their emails — and that’s been the pattern since I signed up. It genuinely feels like they’ve adopted my inbox, daily little nudges that I never asked for. I paid £6.99 for next‑day delivery and a week later I’m still checking the tracking like a daft person. Customer service keeps asking for more info even after I asked for my data to be erased, which is just tiresome. I’ve reported the misuse to the ICO. If you care about a calm inbox or actually getting your parcel fast, maybe look elsewhere. My only wish is they’d add a proper opt‑out.
Ragged delivery, decent refunds
I ordered through QVC where YouGarden ship direct — plants looked fine online but several deliveries have been a bit of a mess. The last box leaked water everywhere and a couple of pots were smashed, leaves in bits. Credit where it's due, QVC sorted refunds straight away, which saved the day, but it's tiring to keep returning things. Might be worth YouGarden sorting tougher packaging; until then I'd think twice about larger or fragile plants. I haven't given up completely, some plants have been fine, but honestly I won't risk rare specimens until they change how they pack, or at least say they've fixed it.
Drawf Buddlia replacement plant
Recently, I bought a Dwarf Buddleia from You Garden. Unfortunately, when it arrived, it didn't look too great. I got in touch with the company, and they quickly sent me a new plant. It's doing really well in my garden now. I'm really grateful for their fantastic customer service and how they make sure customers are happy. I'd definitely suggest You Garden to anyone who wants good plants and great service.
Recent plant purchase
I recently bought some plants from this company and I was really impressed with their service. When I found out I wouldn't be home for the delivery, I emailed them and they were really helpful, making sure my plants arrived when I was back. Not many garden companies would have been so responsive, so I was impressed by their professionalism. The plants were sent out the day after I got back and they arrived in good condition the next day, well packed. I was really happy with the plants themselves and how they were packaged for delivery.
Plant purchase
I recently bought some plants from this company and I was really happy with the whole experience. They have a really good range of plants at fair prices, it's a great option for anyone into gardening. I especially enjoyed how easy it was to get in touch and the special deals I got as a member. Delivery times can be a bit hit and miss, most of my orders arrived quite quickly but one took ages, like 25 days!
Oleanders replacement
I recently purchased some plants from a company, and I have to say, they weren't looking too great when they arrived. It took a bit of back and forth, but I eventually managed to speak to someone and they sent me new plants that were in much better shape. It really helped to restore my trust in the company.
100 lily bulbs purchased, 20% damaged
I bought 100 lily bulbs from You Garden quite late in the season and they arrived in good time. Sadly, about 20% of them were damaged during delivery, and some had even started to sprout. Nevertheless, the cost I paid for them was fantastic, so even with the damage, I still feel like I got a good deal.
Plant purchase, blind gardener
The way they've set up the plant descriptions and care tips on their website has been really useful for me, being a blind gardener. The plants I got were all nicely packed and in great shape, which I was pleased about. But when I tried to find some info on the website, I struggled a bit because my device doesn't read everything out loud. And when I tried to call for help, the customer service person wasn't too helpful, which was disappointing. It was my first time buying from them, so it was pretty frustrating. Also, waiting so long for my order to arrive was a bit of a pain, so I'm hoping they can do something to make it easier to find account numbers or membership stuff for future help.
Various plants
I was really looking forward to getting my order from this online garden shop because they have such a good variety of products to pick from. It was easy to place my order and I thought the prices were reasonable for the plants I got. But I was a bit let down when I found out that my order was delayed in being sent out, meaning the courier held onto my plants for longer than they needed to. Because of this, some of the plants weren't in the best condition when they finally arrived.
Healthy plants received
The plants I ordered came right on time and look great! I'm very happy with them and will keep buying from this place. The prices were good too, so overall it was a really good experience. Thanks a lot!
Incorrect order
I recently had the bad luck of getting the wrong order from this company. But, I have to say, the customer service was really great. Even though the mistake was just a human error, the team at the company fixed it quickly and effectively. I was really impressed with how professional and dedicated they were in fixing the error. The plants themselves were in great condition and seemed to be doing really well. All in all, despite the initial mistake, I am now a happy customer because of their outstanding customer service.
Plant purchase
It's such a relief to come across a company that actually gets back to you quickly when you place an order or have a question, isn't it? And the fact that they also give discounts is a nice bonus. We just got our first plant from them and it came right on time and in really good condition. Big thanks for the excellent service!
Fresh plants, slightly damaged
The service at this place was excellent, and the delivery arrived on time. The plants I ordered looked nice and healthy, but they did get a bit knocked around during delivery. I hope they'll bounce back once in the ground, but it was a shame they weren't in perfect shape on arrival. Overall, I was happy with the service and delivery, but it would have been better if the plants were handled more carefully during transportation.
Plants arrived in good condition
I really like getting plants from here because they always arrive in brilliant condition! The packaging looks good, but I wish it was more environmentally friendly. And why is the postage so pricey? Sometimes I end up going to the garden centre nearby because it's more affordable.
Replacement 'Daphne' plant
Trying to get a replacement 'Daphne' plant from this garden store was a right pain, I must say. It felt like it took absolutely forever from when I first asked for it to when it eventually arrived. The most frustrating thing was trying to contact customer service, either by phone or email. They were so slow to get back to me, even when I sent them photos to show what was wrong. All in all, not a great experience at all.
Lavender plants
I thought the website was really easy to use and get around. But then I got an email saying that my order for lavender plants had been cancelled because they weren't good enough to send out. That was a bit of a let-down, but at least they let me know quickly so I could find the plants somewhere else. Even though that didn't work out, I was happy that the rest of my order was delivered quickly and without any problems. All in all, I'd be up for using this website again in the future.
Plant purchase
The plant I bought turned up in great condition and was all set for planting. It arrived bang on time, and I was really impressed by the new catalogue that came with it. I've already told all my friends and family about You Garden, and I've even passed on the discount code to about 4 people. The quality of the plant was even better than I thought, and I'm really happy with my purchase.
Plugs arrived in good condition
The only problem really was how long I had to wait for the delivery. Just as I was actually thinking of getting in touch to ask about it, I got a message saying there was a delay. It would've been better if they'd told me that when I first made the order. Still, the plugs came in really good condition so I can't complain too much.
Plants for hanging baskets
I recently bought some plants for my hanging baskets from your shop. I called up to place my order and the person who answered the phone was really helpful all the way through. The plants turned up when they were supposed to and they were in great condition. I'm really happy with what I bought and I'll definitely come back to shop with you again.
