    Looks okay but needs fixing

    I started assembling this shed on a drizzly Saturday afternoon, expecting a couple of hours and a rhythm. Instead it turned into a weekend project. The first thing I noticed was the panels — thin, many had small but annoying holes, and two boards were cracked through. Screws were poor quality and a few snapped while tightening; that felt sloppy. The door sat crooked with about a four‑inch gap at the bottom, so I had to buy and fit some 2x2 timber to make it work. Roofing felt arrived but with the wrong nails supplied, so a trip to the shop. The instructions were brief and vague; you end up improvising, sawing panels here and there so joins sit flush. Customer service weren't helpful when I phoned about the delayed delivery — the answer was vague and the call dropped, which irritated me. On the upside, once it's up and sealed it does the job for garden storage, and it looks fine. Overall I felt a mix of disappointment and relief; usable but you'll need patience, extra tools and a willingness to fix bits as you go.

    Broken bits and broken promises

    parts damaged, bits missing and labelling all over the place — some pieces have numbers, some letters, and the parts list only shows numbers. No paper instructions either, so I’m stuck staring at tiny diagrams on my phone, constantly zooming in. The instructions say the base should be 2.66m, yet the parts simply don’t add up to that length. After dozens of emails and a few phone calls they sent the “missing” parts…which turned out to be identical to what we already had. Decking is still nowhere to be seen. Even my Dad — 50 years as a carpenter — threw his hands up, which tells you everything. Now there’s £600 worth of kit sat in bits in the garden, the holidays are done, two disappointed kids and a very annoyed mum. Customer service was slow and unhelpful, delivery poor — just disappointing all round.

    Quiet more than gingerbread

    I rang four times, the fourth pick-up came after 45 minutes and then they put me on hold for another 15 while they "checked" my number. I honestly think nobody was coming back. On another call they asked me to wait before even getting my order number, and then silence again. I did manage to add a fence by speaking to the sales line directly, which was the only time things felt straightforward — so that small bit of clarity was useful. In the end I pulled out of the sale; I wasn’t confident about the product or aftercare. My child was disappointed, which I felt bad about, but on the plus side the cancellation went through and I got the refund within a week, so at least that part wasn’t a drama. Overall dry experience, frustrating communication, but relieved it all closed up quickly in the end.

    Bit of a rollercoaster, but it worked out

    I needed a replacement playhouse for my grandkids — the old one was collapsing and I wanted something safe before the summer. I was wary because I'd read bad things and I'd had one awful delivery before, so I almost didn’t order. The checkout itself was fine. That was the only thing that felt straightforward. After that, it went a bit sideways. The delivery was late by a week. A couple of parts arrived broken and one pack was missing. I phoned. I held for ages — honestly, about 20 minutes a couple of times — then got cut off once. Frustrating. They did come back to collect the wrong bits eventually, and they sent replacements, but it wasn’t quick. Quality-wise the finished playhouse is fine. It’s not premium, but solid enough and the kids love it, which is the main point. So my doubts at the start eased — partly because the end result did the job — though the whole process was more hassle than it should have been. If you need something fast and hassle-free, look elsewhere; if you can tolerate slow customer service and a few bumps, it’ll get there in the end.

    Finally usable, but don’t expect a smooth ride

    expected 8–10 weeks, then nearly 16 and still no sign — I asked to cancel and that took ages to sort, with transfers and dead phone lines, you know the kind. So, tip: be persistent, take photos, and don’t let them fob you off. I’m grateful it worked out in the end for the shed, but if you can, budget extra time and patience — and maybe don’t rely on the greenhouse timeline.

    Cold tea and a skewed door

    I only realised I was properly happy with this shed on a cold Tuesday afternoon, of all times — when my cup of tea had gone cold on the decking and the door actually sat in its frame without me having to push it, pry it or swear at it. Bit of a strange moment to feel pleased, I know, but after the circus that was the build it felt like a small victory.

    Shed order delayed

    I ordered a shed six weeks ago, but it was supposed to be here in four weeks. I've been trying to check on my delivery using the link they gave me, but the system is so confusing that I can't make heads or tails of it. I've tried getting in touch with customer service a few times, but it's been a nightmare. Nobody picks up the phone, the live chat isn't helpful, and messaging hasn't done me any good either. I have no clue when my shed will finally show up, and the lack of communication and terrible service has been a huge letdown.

    Lawn mower storage purchase

    I recently bought this amazing lawn mower storage box from a really good website. My daughter helped me choose it because she's really good at that sort of thing.     Dangerous fire pit coals

    I got some fire pit coals from this company and they were in really bad shape. They ended up exploding and wrecking my garden furniture. I told customer services about it nearly a month ago, but they still haven't come to pick up the item or give me a refund. The service overall was just awful and the communication was so slow.

    Log cabin 13x8 purchase

    I recently bought a 13x8 log cabin to use in my garden as a games/bar room. The delivery arrived right on time, five weeks after I ordered it. The delivery driver was really professional and knew a lot about the product. He dropped it off in my driveway, and my son and I managed to move it into the back garden without any problems.

    When we checked everything, it was all in good condition except for one board that had a small mark on it. It wasn't a big deal for me though, as I planned to paint it anyway. What did bother me was the time it took to install it. The manual said 4-6 hours, but it actually took us 12 hours over 2 days, even with both of us being pretty handy with DIY.

    Despite the time it took, I'm happy with the product, the company, and the service I received.

    3x2 Sentry Box Shed

    I ordered a 3x2 Sentry Box shed back in March. It took more than three months for it to finally arrive. When it did arrive, it was a day late on the 26th. The problem was that the 2'6" rear panel was missing. I've made several efforts to fix this issue, but all I've received are two gable ends and three 2' side panels instead of the missing piece. The lack of communication and mix-up in getting the order right is just not on in my books.

    Table and chairs purchase

    I bought a table and chairs recently, but the delivery process didn't go smoothly. I placed the order on the 5th of May and was told it would take 5-10 working days. When they finally gave me a delivery date of the 27th of May, I was shocked to see it was on a bank holiday Monday. Even though I was worried, the company said it would still be delivered on that day. But, it never arrived, and when I called them the next day, they said it had been rescheduled for the 31st of May.

    The company keeps on ignoring my requests for a refund, from both me and my credit card company. Luckily, my credit card company has refunded me while they look into the problem. I recommend that anyone thinking of buying from BillyOh in the future should use a credit card for purchases, as it provides protection in case things go wrong.

    Big garden shed

    I was really chuffed to get my parents a big garden shed since they'd been after one for ages. I couldn't wait to see their faces when they saw it, but when it turned up, a piece was missing! I was proper gutted because I had to wait for them to send out a replacement before I could set it up. It was a bit of a pain, but the shed seems to be good quality at least.

    Outdoor furniture set

    My time with the company was really disappointing. I picked a delivery date, but they totally ignored it and then changed it twice with no heads up or reason. It was frustrating for my plans to be messed up because they didn't know what they were doing. Plus, contacting customer service was a nightmare.     Wooden garden shed purchase

    I recently bought a wooden garden shed that I thought was a fantastic deal. From what I can tell, the shed seems to be top-notch quality, especially for the price I got it at. I haven't had the chance to put it together yet, but I'm feeling pretty optimistic about it. The delivery service was really good, and I got to meet Phil from the company's Mansfield location, who was a really nice guy and a real asset to the business. It's not often that delivery gets done so well by other companies, so it was a nice change. I'm really looking forward to putting it all together in the first week of June.
