Booking experience disappointment
I booked a holiday just before the last lockdown and now I can't go, but the host is refusing to give me a refund. They are even asking for more money if I want to rebook after the lockdown. It just doesn't seem fair at all, especially since I can't even use what I paid for. I feel like I have no protection as a guest, and it's really disappointing that the host gets to make all the decisions. I wouldn't advise anyone to book through this platform because it doesn't offer any security for guests.
Anniversary stay
I was really gutted when the property owner turned us down for our stay over Christmas and New Year just because we hadn't paid a deposit. We were really looking forward to celebrating our anniversary, but instead, we were faced with rudeness and a flat-out refusal.
Independent self-catering portal
CoolStays is a brilliant self-catering portal that's independent and has a really nice website that's easy to use. It's been great for us because it's helped bring in enquiries and bookings for our property, which is a huge plus. We really like that CoolStays is still independent and hasn't been taken over by bigger managing agent portals. We prefer paying a yearly subscription instead of dealing with limited owner weeks and high commission rates because we like to handle everything ourselves when it comes to managing our self-catering property and bookings.
Top-notch marketing package
So, my family has been customers of Coolstays for years. Last year, we were reviewing our marketing strategies and decided to upgrade to their top package. It has been incredible! We are receiving fantastic leads and results, making it completely worthwhile. We are looking forward to continuing to work with them in the future. Big shoutout to the Coolstays team!
Weekend getaway booking
I recently booked a weekend break using CoolStays, and although I love the concept of the website and the selection of unique stays they offer, I got a bit annoyed that lots of property owners hadn't kept their calendars up to scratch. It made it really hard to work out when places were available, and I ended up wasting loads of time contacting different places. It would be so much better for users if owners were more on the ball with updating their calendars regularly. Another idea I have is for CoolStays to introduce a booking system like Airbnb to make things even easier. Cheers!
Tropical paradise stay
Wow, we had an amazing time at this tropical paradise! As soon as we got there, we were impressed by all the little details that made the place special. The garden was so lush, the decor was lovely, and the hosts were incredibly hospitable. John and Jo really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and are already looking forward to coming back!
Accommodation promotion on CoolStays

I originally had just one subscription and an extra calendar, but then I decided to upgrade to two separate listings for each of my holiday lets. I'm getting close to my goal of letting them out for business rates in Wales, with 182 nights booked for each property!

Minimoon at a jungle-themed cabin
My partner and I had a wonderful time during our recent two-night getaway to a beautiful jungle-themed cabin located in the scenic Martin Mill in Dover. The inside of the cabin was exquisitely designed, with every little detail carefully considered and no expense spared. The outside felt like we were in a different world, surrounded by a lush jungle landscape with amazing trees and plants. The carvings and furniture added a special touch to this unique place to stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud - the best we've ever experienced. Our host Jon was fantastic, so friendly, polite, and really helpful. We left the cabin feeling refreshed and are already thinking about when we can go back next.

Difficult booking process
I had a right nightmare trying to book a stay through this website. Despite there being loads of lovely places to choose from, actually getting a booking sorted was a right pain. Most of the places listed didn't show if they were available or not, so I had to contact each one individually to check. It was so frustrating, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. When I book something, I expect it to be easy and quick, but this just wasn't the case here.
And don't even get me started on the voucher system. Having to pay upfront and then wait for a refund just didn't sit well with me at all. It felt dodgy and made me question the whole process. The whole experience on this website was a letdown and I wouldn't recommend it to others.First year advertising
I'm really pleased with CoolStays so far! Getting started was a breeze with the team there to assist us. Dealing with guest queries is straightforward with the owners page, and the connection to 'Supercontrol' really helps with managing bookings.
Disgraceful website experience
I was so disappointed with this website. The deals they were advertising turned out to be fake, just a trick to get my personal information. And to top it off, the unsubscribe feature didn't even work, leaving me feeling really frustrated and stuck. The responses from their AI customer service were no help at all and felt really insincere. Then, when I saw the low rating on Feefo, it just confirmed my suspicions that this website wasn't genuine. All in all, it was a really disappointing and frustrating experience.
Stayed in a cool holiday cottage
I stayed in this amazing holiday cottage that I found on a really cool website. The owners have been listing with them for about 4 years and they seem really pleased with the number of guests they get. The website does a great job of targeting their ideal guests, which is crucial for both the guests and owners, don't you think? The platform is really user-friendly and they're quick to keep up with new trends. It's definitely the top spot to discover a unique holiday destination!
Luxury holiday homes search
The properties on this site are absolutely fantastic - they're luxurious, one-of-a-kind, and perfect for a special getaway. But, I have to say, the booking process is a real pain.
