    Villa Levanta (Lavender) Rhodes

    The place was nice, looked after well, and had a recent makeover. However, there were a couple of things that made the stay less than perfect. On the first day, I had a bit of an accident with the hanging chair in the villa. When I sat down, the fixings gave way, the chair dropped, and the heavy chain hit me in the face and neck. This left me with bruises, backache, and a cut on my nose. It seemed like the fixing had become a bit loose over time, considering I'm just under 12 stone. It was worrying to see that it was only held in place by a single M12 bolt, which I doubt meets British health and safety standards. Also, the shower in the villa wasn't working quite right. The rain shower sprayed water everywhere, and the adjustable shower head was tied up with a cable tie and clogged with calcium deposits from the hard water. Another downside was the building site behind the villa where new homes were being built. Construction started early in the morning to avoid the heat, and it seemed like a long-term project. Guests should be aware of possible disruptions from the noises of jackhammers and JCBs all day. Despite these issues, I still recommend a trip to Rhodes.

    Our amazing holiday

    Hey everyone! I just wanted to share with you all about our fantastic holiday in Portugal. We had a bit of a nightmare at the silly airport when our cases went missing, but once we arrived at this amazing villa, everything was just perfect! It was spotlessly clean and really lovely, exactly what we needed after the airport chaos. And there was this really friendly guy who fixed our leaky shower straight away, how great is that? James Villas really saved our holiday, they were so kind and helpful. The cleaners also deserve a huge shoutout, they did an excellent job. We would definitely recommend this villa and the company that runs it, they're just the best!

    Villa holiday in Sardinia

    Our holiday in the villa in Sardinia was absolutely fantastic! It was a real treat to stay there last week, so peaceful and relaxing. The children really enjoyed splashing about in the pool, and they adored having fun with Cuma, the dog. Luca and Antanella, who are the lovely owners living below, were incredibly welcoming and ready to assist with anything we needed. We had full use of the beautiful grounds, and the villa had everything we could possibly require, making settling in a breeze. Just had to unpack and make ourselves comfy!

    I just booked a villa with this company for a holiday in a place I know well. When I tried to pay online, I had some problems and my payment wouldn't go through. Feeling annoyed, I decided to ring their customer service, and I was really impressed with the help I got. The lady I spoke to, Sophie, was really helpful and fixed the issue in no time at all. Thanks to her, I managed to make my booking and now I'm really excited for my holiday. In general, I always feel confident and content booking with this company.

    Christmas Villa booking cancelled without compensation

    I'm really annoyed that my Christmas Villa booking got cancelled by the parent company, with no compensation offered and a potential 10 day wait for a refund. Now I'm scrambling to find somewhere else to stay during the busiest time of year. It's completely unacceptable and has definitely put a damper on my holiday spirit.

    Previous experience with James Villas

    It's a shame to see the decline of James Villas, they were a great company back in the day. I remember using their services before they got taken over, and I even knew the original founders who worked hard to make it a reliable platform for villa owners. It's sad to see how things have gone downhill since then. If you're on the lookout for a new option, I'd suggest giving Simply Owners a try. They're an advertising portal that might be more suited to what you're after. Good luck in finding a trustworthy service for renting out your villa.

    Villa rental in Menorca

    The customer service we received was absolutely top-notch from the time we made our booking right through to the end of our stay. They answered all of our questions quickly and effectively. If we had any issues, they were addressed promptly and professionally. The villa in Menorca was even better than we had hoped for - impeccably maintained and delightfully clean. We were so pleased that we didn't want to go. We will definitely be using this company again in the future.

    Villa Holidays are perfect holiday ventures and experiences of a great escape. It is beautiful than ever, especially when they have like 20 villas or holiday spots. Their facilities are out of the world, lot of amenities and great.
    I have been for two times, it is my best stay ever.
    Must try james villa holiday at least once in your life

    I visited two villas and they were amazing! The only downside was at the second place, where a broken fence caused some damage to our rental car. But it's all good now. Booking was a bit of a hassle because they no longer offer flights and car hire, so you have to arrange that yourself, which was really annoying. Also, the check-in dates weren't ideal - we had to arrive a day early and leave a day late, which was a waste of time and money! Not ideal at all.

    Stay at a villa in El Nido/Nerja

    My stay at the villa in El Nido/Nerja was really nice. I usually go for all-inclusive hotels, but this time I wanted something different and tried out James Villas - and I'm glad I did! The details they gave were spot on and really useful, they kept me well informed, and any problems I had were sorted out quickly. Booking to check-out was a breeze, and I had a lovely and chilled break. I'll definitely think about booking with James Villas again next time.

    Recent villa booking experience

    I was quite disappointed with my recent villa booking experience. I've been a loyal customer of the company for years, using them for villa rentals, flights, and car hires. However, my recent stay didn't meet the high standards I've come to expect. There were several issues during my stay that really affected my holiday. The villa didn't have WIFI for a whole week, the pool was green for five days, and the property needed some serious maintenance. Inaccurate villa information, no water for one and a half days, and a few other small problems just added to my disappointment. The location of the villa wasn't great either, with neighbouring apartments, a public car park, and noisy construction projects nearby. Overall, this experience was nowhere near the excellent service I usually get from the company.

    Double booked villa

    We booked this villa and it was alright, I suppose. The folks we booked with were lovely and the villa was pleasant, but on the first night, some other people turned up at the door claiming they had also booked it – which clearly was a mistake, as we had already reserved it. It was a bit of a mix-up and quite stressful, not the ideal way to start a holiday. It kind of made me think twice about booking with them in the future.

    Luxury villa stay

    The luxury villa we stayed in was absolutely huge and the bedrooms were really big, giving us a great first impression. However, there were a few let-downs during our stay that didn't meet our expectations. Firstly, there was no toilet roll in the main bedroom's En-Suite, no soap dispenser in the upstairs toilet, and they didn't provide a welcome pack with things like Tea, Coffee, Milk, and Washing tabs. The kitchen was missing basic condiments, only having a salt pot. Also, when we arrived, there was no one to greet us and we couldn't park in the driveway because it was blocked by garden rubbish, but we could park on the road instead.

    I booked a holiday villa and when we arrived, it was a total nightmare! The villa was really disappointing and when we mentioned it, they just shrugged it off. We had to file a complaint later on and they completely ignored us. Not cool at all, guys.

    Disastrous holiday villa experience

    What a nightmare! The villa I rented was a total disaster from the moment we got there. The cupboard door in the lounge was hanging off, the kitchen sink was leaking, and on top of that, there was no TV or DVD player as promised. To make matters worse, there was no electricity for two days. When I reached out to the company about these problems, they said I should have called a number in the info pack that was supposed to be in the villa. But surprise, surprise, there was no info pack anywhere. I eventually had to pay a local electrician to fix the power. Dealing with these so-called professionals was a nightmare, what a joke! I can see why they're going out of business if this is the kind of service they offer. Complete cowboys, everything about them was a disaster!

    Ten years of loyalty, double booked villa

    I've been a loyal customer for over ten years, but I must say, my recent experience has really let me down. I had booked a villa, only to find out last minute that it had been double booked. They offered me an alternative, which they claimed was an upgrade because it was £500 more expensive, but it was really just a larger villa, not a better one. I didn't receive any compensation or help in finding something better, so I had to spend an extra £800 on accommodation. It's a shame to see a brand I used to trust so much become just another booking agent with limited resources. I would recommend booking with an online agent for a cheaper and more reliable experience to avoid the hassle.

    Silveira II review

    I recently stayed at Silveira II in Vilamoura and I must say, it was a really disappointing experience. The place didn't live up to what was advertised at all - rooms were dirty, appliances didn't work properly, and they were lacking basic things you would expect. On top of that, the customer service was no help at all and didn't seem to care about our issues. What's worse is that when I left an honest review, they just went and deleted it from their website. It's pretty obvious they are being dodgy and only want glowing reviews to trick people into booking. I won't be making that mistake again, that's for sure.
