Stayed at a lovely holiday park for 4 nights
The place was really tidy and had everything we needed! The staff were really friendly, especially Kirsty with the cool striped shirt who was great fun with the kids. Nathan was brilliant too, as a lifeguard and barman - what a hero! Overall, we had the best time ever and can't wait to go back. A huge thanks to all the staff for making our holiday incredible!
Family holiday at the seaside
We had a fantastic holiday by the sea with my family - it was absolutely brilliant! The beach was just a stone's throw away, so we spent our days building sandcastles and playing in the waves. Our cosy caravan had everything we could possibly need. The only downside was a few unpleasant individuals at the bar, but all in all, it was a wonderful experience.
Holiday at a holiday park in St Ives
My family and I recently had a fantastic two-week holiday at a holiday park in St Ives. We've been going there for many years now, and it always lives up to our expectations. This year, we noticed a big improvement in how well-kept and tidy the park was. The park's beautiful natural setting, with cottages scattered among an old English wood, looked even better with the addition of flower beds and the great work done by the diligent staff. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the bungalow we had reserved had been upgraded and refurbished, making our stay even more enjoyable. We're already excited for next year and have already booked a stay for 2024.
Family holiday disappointment
Our family recently went on a holiday to a holiday park and unfortunately, it was a huge let down. We were really excited for a chill break but instead, we had a bunch of problems that made our stay not so great. Firstly, we couldn't get any internet or phone signal, which made it super hard to stay connected. And then, there wasn't enough parking so we had to park quite far from where we were staying, which was a pain, especially with all our bags. The pool, which we were really looking forward to, was either out of order or too crowded for us to enjoy the whole time we were there. The staff were unhelpful and not very friendly, which made things even more annoying. And to make matters worse, the TV signal kept cutting out, so we couldn't even chill in the evenings.
Extended holiday booking
I recently booked a 4-night stay for my family over the Easter holiday at a holiday park. When I saw a big price drop on their website, I got in touch with customer service to ask if we could extend our stay to 7 nights at the new prices. Unfortunately, I was told I could only stick to the original prices as per their rules. The customer service manager I spoke to was quite sharp and just kept repeating the company's policy, showing no flexibility or understanding of my situation. It was annoying to face such a strict approach, especially since I've made similar changes before without any trouble. When I mentioned possibly filing a complaint via email, the manager rudely said it would come back to her, hinting that escalating the issue wouldn't help. This experience left me feeling let down and unappreciated as a customer who's had good stays at other places run by the same company before. Their lack of empathy and refusal to meet my request was disheartening, and it's made me think twice about booking with them again.
Stayed at a holiday park in N Devon
I recently stayed at a holiday park in North Devon for a week and it was absolutely fantastic. The accommodation we had was a 2-bed Silver chalet which was really comfortable and had everything we needed. The only downside was that there wasn't a bath mat in the shower.
The best part of the trip was definitely the entertainment that Josh and Charley provided. They were amazing at keeping everyone entertained and engaged. Their performances were really great, and I think they could go far in the entertainment industry.
Overall, I had such a wonderful time that I'm already thinking about going back later this year.Customer service experience
The folks working here really make you feel welcome. As soon as I stepped in, they greeted me with smiles and were so helpful. Any problems or questions I had were quickly sorted out. The room they gave me was excellent and made my stay absolutely fantastic. It's really nice to see the staff putting in that extra effort to ensure you have a wonderful time.
7-night motorhome holiday at a poorly-maintained campsite
I recently went on a 7-night motorhome holiday at Widemouth Bay, but my experience wasn't great. I ended up leaving early after 5 nights because the touring area was in poor condition. The roads were full of huge potholes, and the grass around the pitches was so uneven that it looked like a mud pit after heavy rain. I couldn't find anywhere to empty the grey water from our van, which I thought would be a basic necessity. The new toilet block was a disaster - only one hook on the wall, no shower curtain, and no seating for older people like us to dry off and change comfortably. When I raised these concerns with some staff members, they just brushed off our complaints. It seemed like they didn't have the authority to address the issues.
Platinum Plus caravan stay
I stayed at this place that I thought was going to be really posh with all the fancy stuff, but it turned out to be a real letdown. I just wanted a relaxed holiday with an extra TV and a dishwasher, but the caravan they gave me didn't have any of that. When I complained, they said, "Oh, it's brand new so it's worth the high price." Like, seriously? They didn't even fix it when I pointed out they already had the items in there. And get this, they just told me they hope my poorly husband gets better soon. So rude! All in all, not cool at all and I definitely won't be going back there.
Stayed at Sandy Glade
The chalet reeked of cigarettes and damp, the evening entertainment was led by a self-centred and out-of-shape person, the kids' activities were unimpressive and unsanitary, the kitchen in the chalet was poorly stocked, the swimming pool was filthy with inattentive lifeguards, and the arcades were no good - with broken machines and thefts that the staff ignored.
Recent stay at a holiday park
My stay at the holiday park was really disappointing. I'd booked for a whole week, but I ended up leaving early after only 5 days because of a few problems. Firstly, the caravan they gave me was filthy and didn't have everything I needed. The park wasn't very accessible for people with disabilities, so getting around was tough. And to top it off, some of the staff were rude and not very helpful, which made things even worse. All in all, I was really let down by my stay and won't be going back there again.
Holiday park makeover
Oh, Burnham on Sea has had a really cool makeover lately! They've hired more staff to keep the place clean, the shops have been spruced up, and even added a new outdoor TV viewing area. The accommodation was immaculate, like seriously tidy, everything in its place. I'm really looking forward to going back again, big thanks to the park staff for making it such a great experience!
Holiday park stay
Oh my days, this holiday park was an absolute nightmare! The arcade only had one functioning machine, what's the point in that? And the swimming pool was a disaster - the baby pool was freezing cold and the changing rooms were a joke, just a flimsy shower curtain! The so-called "restaurant" had pricey, basic food that we didn't even bother wasting our money on. To top it off, they actually switched off all the electricity and heating in our caravan before we left, so we woke up shivering! There were no emergency contacts provided either, like what if something went wrong? Definitely not suitable for kids, I do not recommend this place at all!
Recent stay at holiday park
While I was staying at the holiday park recently, I have to say I was really let down by the whole experience. The caravan they gave me was pretty shabby and honestly looked like it should have been on Top Gear getting crushed. The crazy golf was so outdated, it was hard to even play. And the staff seemed more interested in chatting to each other than helping out the guests. The check-in process took ages, and we were all left waiting around getting impatient. There were times when I was waiting at the bar for ages because the staff were too busy having a chat. And when I went to the reception in the afternoons, there was hardly anyone there, so I had to wait for ages with no apology for the inconvenience.
Llanrhidian Holiday Park review
I must admit, my time at that holiday park was a real mixture of emotions. The setting was wonderful, with great access to local attractions like the Brecon Beacons, which was a massive bonus for us exploring the area. However, as a family, we felt it didn't quite hit the mark when it came to keeping the kids busy. The place we stayed in was lovely and didn't break the bank, but we were a bit let down by the lack of activities for the little ones on-site. Thankfully, the hot tub was a lifeline, keeping the children happy when there wasn't much else to keep them occupied.
Damaged car incident
The staff at the place where I took my car for maintenance were really nice and sorry about the damage caused. But, I was really let down by how the higher-ups dealt with things. I had to keep asking for updates and, after waiting for days, they just told me to sort it out with the site's insurance. The main office basically ignored the problem and left me struggling to get my car repaired.
Bargain price booking through third-party site
I recently booked a stay at Sandaway in Combe Martin through a third-party site because I found a great deal. But, I'd suggest checking out the John Fowler website directly as they might have even better offers. The caravan we stayed in was small but cosy, although it wasn't as clean as we had hoped when we arrived. Plus, we had to make our own beds, which was a bit surprising. The only amenity available was the outdoor pool, and its availability depended on the time of year. Despite these minor issues, overall the site was lovely, especially with its own private bay.
Upgraded accommodation
The upgraded accommodation we received was really disappointing. The van was far from clean, with hair all over the place, not very hygienic at all. Plus, the van was in serious need of a makeover, looking really old. The food on site wasn't great quality and was way too expensive for what it was. And to top it off, there was a loud strimmer starting up early in the morning right outside our window! It made it impossible to relax and ruined our stay. We were really let down by the whole experience and ended up leaving after just 2 nights, even though we had booked for a whole week.
Booking cancellation drama
I have been going to this place for ages, but this year I had to cancel my booking. So, I sent them an email, but they still took money from my account for both caravans even though I had informed them about the cancellation. Now I have to go through the hassle of fighting to get my money back. It's really not cool at all!
Stayed at St Ives holiday village
I recently visited St Ives holiday village and I have to say, it was a bit disappointing. The staff were friendly and the food was tasty, but the bungalow we stayed in was a nightmare. The toilet seat was falling off, there wasn't a blind in the shower so people outside could see in, there was nowhere to put our shower products, nowhere to hang up wet towels, the floor was creaky, the sofa was incredibly uncomfortable, and the beds were as hard as rocks. It was so uncomfortable that we ended up leaving a day earlier than planned. I definitely won't be going back there again!
