    Opodo really makes the travel so simplistic. I let my travel schedules, short or long, personal or business managed by Opodo. They do great job managing the flights, transit system, hotel booking, car rentals and other services as well.

    NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!...Opodo's management after the car hire company was even more appalling!

    I booked car hire via Opodo in Turkey. A car hire company called DMR. All paid up front and was suppose to have 500Euro blocked on the card as per Opodo documentation for hire on arrival. The company tried charging me 1000Euro then settled at 500Euro. Rather then blocking the amount, they charged it to my card resulting in transaction charges, contrary to the contract signed by Opodo. Most car rentals only block the amount so no charges made. On returning the car, I received no refund and the car company said they will return it after 4 weeks?. No where in any contract with Opodo or the car company it says this.

    On return and after a lot of searching I found the complaint email for Opodo to try and get my money back and get answers to numerous questions about how nothing seems to have followed the contract i signed to hire the car through Opodo. Someone called Nahed kept telling me it was related to extra insurance which is not refundable (clearly it was not!). Then eventually said it was a deposit but not actually taken from the card (clearly was on my statement with transaction charges), then even though I asked to have the matter escalated, this still did not happen and ignored my requests. I have supplied all statement, copies , charges etc...and still not resolved or spoken to anyone senior.

    Understand that if you use Opodo, there is no complaints process to escalate anything, the contract you sign may not be followed by third party companies, and they just do not listen or read your emails/complaint! I have never come across a company like this or the employee Nahed who repeatedly does not acknowledge to escalate a problem... I need to find the regulatory body for this company. Even the CEO does not reply backor get senior management to look into the problems.

    Appalling Experience with Opodo – Endless Waiting and Poor Communication

    I am utterly disgusted with the abysmal service provided by Opodo. Since September, I have been waiting for a refund without any proactive communication from their end. It is infuriating that I am consistently the one reaching out for updates, and each time I do, I am met with the same excuse that they are waiting for the airline to respond.

    The sheer lack of effort on Opodo's part to chase the airline for my refund is mind-boggling. It appears that they are content with sitting on their hands, leaving me in the dark and frustrated. I expected a travel company to take responsibility and actively pursue resolution, but Opodo has fallen far short of that standard.

    This experience has been a complete letdown, and I will not tolerate such negligence. If you value your time, money, and sanity, steer clear of Opodo. Their customer service is a sham, and I would strongly advise against using their services.

They charged my credit card a second time with no prior notice, nor any kind of agreement from me (I didn't even signup to their site). On their membership site I cannot discard the credit card nor stop the membership nor ask for refund or anything. So I phoned them 45 minutes expensive international call with 3 different agents none were able to discard my credit card from their database or cancel my membership and refund. At the end Opodo is making it impossible to get back my money and who knows what they will do with my credit card I need to cancel it I think. Opodo is pure scam, I investigated past Opodo (and eDreams) reviews on the web and literally thousands of clients like me have been ... for years. How can such company still do business on web? Isn't google work to prevent scam and don't let them pay ads? I am now in contact with my lawyer.

    Had a flight cancelled by the airline from Valencia to Lisbon under booking 10350634914 and to this day I'm battling to get my money back. Called numerous times, sent numerous emails including the CEO Dana and I am still waiting nearly a year later. Please AVOID this company AT ALL COSTS. They are ok if you don't have any issues with your travel but if something happens to your flight or holiday you won't get your money back. Their HQ is now based in Spain and no longer part of the ATOL Protection scheme leaving the UK consumer powerless. Check reviews and forums before booking.
    They seem to have 2 Trustpilot set of reviews now so PLEASE PLEASE check before booking your holiday.. This company is scamming customers. They keep blaming the airline for not passing the money to them, excusing themselves from the transaction. Please protect your mental health, family and your money. I will now be taking this to the small claims court.

    I rent a car in France using Opodo and paid fully in advanced. Opodo sent me the car hire voucher stating that the UK driving license is accepted in France without the need for an international driving license. When I arrived to France, the Europcar rejected to give me the car as they needed an international driving license. I showed them Opodo car hire voucher and called Opodo customer service which was not helpful at all. Ended up paying 82 £ bus fees to get to my address. Opodo promised to get back to me in 48 h then in 20 days and it has been a month without hearing from them. Please stay away of this company as you will lose your cash and you will not get the service you are aiming for. They ruined my whole trip and I'm considering to sue them soon.

    Horrific! Booked a place to stay in Ericeira, arrived, had no contact details at all, just an address, could not get in and no info available at all, had to drive back to Lisbon and book a B...B with two small kids, thankfully we hired a car, if we’d had a hotel transfer we would have been left on the street overnight!
    Opodo didn’t want to know! I booked somewhere else through ‘booking.com’ who I’ve never had a problem with. New place was great.
    On return to UK, I spent hours trying to get through and explain my complaint to try and get money back, after numerous long message threads explaining the issue, all they came back with was, ‘the accommodation gave ample details, we should have contacted them! How could we have with no phone number, email or contact at all. JUST THE ADDRESS!
    I absolutely hate Opodo! I will never use this travel again!

    Don't book with these guys. The purpose of an intermediary is to improve the customer experience. Opdo has made my experience several times worse. And the "Prime" moniker? Prime mug!
    I had a flight cancelled last Friday. After receiving a text and email from Lufthansa notifying me of the cancellation 3 hours before I was due to leave, I immediately called Opodo. Opodo explained that their system stated that the flight hadn't been cancelled and offered to book me on to the flight. THey were unable to (because it had been cancelled) and suggested I call the airline. After continuously getting an engaged tone with the UK's Lufhansa office, I called the head office in Germany - I was 75th in the queue. I then called the Irish office, who confirmed that the flight had been cancelled. After 2 separate calls Lufthansa (in Ireland) was able to check me out of the flight and offered me an alternative leaving 2 days later. I explained that this represented nealy 50% of the holiday and wasn't acceptable. Lufhansa referred me back to opodo - who once again tolds me that the flight wasn't cancelled. I invited Opodo to book me (and my wife and 4 children on to the flight). They couldn't because - guess what - it was cancelled! I asked them to provide me with a refund and they said that they would investigate and get back to me by email. I got an email 24 hours later explaining that I was ineligible for a refund because the flight went ahead as scheduled. Triple checking, I logged on to the Lufthansa website to confirm, once again that the flight had been cancelled.
    I have spent the last week trying to get a refund. Opdo is still insisting that the flight went ahead as schedukled despite providing a screenshot from the Lufthansa website with a big cancelled banner against the flight - together with the email that Lufthansa sent.
    The thing is that Lufthansa were awful. But Opdo has made the experience considerably more stressful. I will never book with Opodo again!

    In short: the money was refunded by the airline but Opodo is blaming the airline (and lying to costumers) that it's because of Wizzair they cannot transfer the money back.

    More details below:
    I booked two return tickets to a Wizzair flight through Opodo. The flight was cancelled and Opodo informed me: "The airline has cancelled your flight. As your travel agent we have requested a cash refund on your behalf." I said, that's a shame to have the flights cancelled but at least I will get my money back... Little did I know!

    This happened in July 2021..and the money is still not in! Of course, I spoke with their call center immediately after the cancelling about the refund and several times after (even sent an e-mail with all the details as they requested) and I was assured that the money will be transferred as "We are in phase "request pending airline authorisation", and it usually takes 3-6 months to get the airline/ Wizzair approval."

    I checked with Wizzair and they confirmed the money have been transferred to Opodo on 30 September, 2021 (!!), and in fact Opodo has requested Wizz credits and not cash. ;)

    So..the money was refunded by the airline but Opodo is blaming the airline (and lying to costumers) that it's because of Wizzair they cannot transfer the money.

    The next step would be hire a lawyer as it's also about the money - 600 EUR, but also the ethics.

    Booked package through Opodo, but when airline cancelled our outbound flight Opodo continually gave us the wrong information telling us to continue with our trip. On the day we were due to travel, they conceded our trip was ruined and claimed the airline had offered us £400 refund but our hotel payment was non-refundable which it wasn't. Then they offered us £200 which we declined. Nearly five months later no refund or contact of any description. Tried chargeback through Lloyds, but Opodo told them we had accepted the offer of £200 so Lloyds sided with Opodo for some reason. We have now lost our £1000+ payment thanks to Opodo's incompetence and Lloyds have let us down too. Avoid this company who are based in Spain and have an Indian call centre who will tell you anything to get you off the phone.

    I bought a ticket in September 6th 2022 to travel on 30th November 2022 for £1344.15.

    Due to health challenges I decided not to travel and change the date.

    £687.91 TO CHANGE THE DATE
    £477.79 CANCELLATION FEES

    On 24th November 2022 a week to my travel date, Opodo sent me an email of my refund £866.36 to be in my account shortly

    £477.79 suddenly disappeared into thin air with no explanation

    What a wow customer service.
