    My recent booking experience was really smooth and hassle-free. The website was dead easy to use, and I managed to find the perfect flight and hotel combo for my trip. I was a bit nervous about any potential problems during my journey, but any issues that popped up were totally out of Opodo's hands, like strikes. The customer service team were brilliant, always super friendly and helpful, but never trying to get me to buy extra stuff I didn't need.

    Subscription cancellation

    I had a really annoying situation with cancelling my subscription that I just have to talk about. I signed up for a free trial of a subscription service but ended up forgetting to cancel it before the trial ended. That led to them automatically taking the annual fee, which was my own fault really. But when I finally remembered and cancelled it online, I thought it was sorted. Then, a year later, I saw that they charged me again for the annual fee. My husband saw me cancel it the first time so this new charge really confused me.

    Technical issue resolution

    I had a bit of trouble trying to reset my password recently. The first time I asked for a password reset link, it didn't show up, so I got in touch with customer service for help. Sadly, the second attempt ran into the same problem. But the person on the other end, who I later learned was called Shrishti, stuck with me patiently as I searched for the email in my spam folder. She then had a great idea - just hit the refresh button. And there it was, the email finally showed up, and I could change my password successfully. Shrishti's friendly and calm attitude really helped me out, and I got my issue sorted quickly and easily.

It's not every day you find such great customer service, especially on the phone. I didn't get their name, but I just wanted to say a big thank you for all their help.

But then, this guy called Ahmed from your company came along and put my mind at ease. He was really helpful and sorted everything out like a total pro.     Overpriced flight tickets

    I ended up buying tickets for a flight that cost more than the initial price. One leg of the flight wasn't confirmed, so I had to purchase a new ticket for that part, which was more expensive. Then, another leg of the flight wasn't confirmed either, so after a lot of back and forth, I had to buy another costly ticket for a longer layover. To make matters worse, I was billed for a trial Prime membership without my authorisation. After three days of stressful discussions, my trip ended up being much more costly (around 1200€) with inconvenient flights. Is there a reason behind all this? I definitely won't be using this company again.

    Flight booking and delayed confirmation

    I booked a flight not long ago and it was all sorted pretty easily and quickly. The only hiccup was I didn't get a confirmation straight away, and apparently, it can take up to a whole day. So the next day, I gave them a ring and had a chat with a lovely lady who sorted everything out for me. All good now!

    The person I first spoke to was really helpful and understood my problem well. But after they said they'd take care of it, I didn't hear anything back. It wasn't until I got an email asking for a review that I remembered my issue still wasn't sorted.

    I am appalled by how this company tricks customers with fake flight prices and secret charges. The price they show is totally misleading, as you actually end up paying way more when you factor in baggage and other extras. And don't even get me started on the sneaky Opodo Prime membership discount that vanishes if you don't sign up right at the end of booking. They are just wasting people's time!

I got in touch with them because I had a problem with my order, but the person I spoke to was really helpful and sorted it out quickly. They were really nice and patient the whole time we were talking, which made the whole thing a lot easier. I would definitely tell other people to use their customer service.

    NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!...Opodo's management after the car hire company was even more appalling!

    I booked car hire via Opodo in Turkey. A car hire company called DMR. All paid up front and was suppose to have 500Euro blocked on the card as per Opodo documentation for hire on arrival. The company tried charging me 1000Euro then settled at 500Euro. Rather then blocking the amount, they charged it to my card resulting in transaction charges, contrary to the contract signed by Opodo. Most car rentals only block the amount so no charges made. On returning the car, I received no refund and the car company said they will return it after 4 weeks?. No where in any contract with Opodo or the car company it says this.

    On return and after a lot of searching I found the complaint email for Opodo to try and get my money back and get answers to numerous questions about how nothing seems to have followed the contract i signed to hire the car through Opodo. Someone called Nahed kept telling me it was related to extra insurance which is not refundable (clearly it was not!). Then eventually said it was a deposit but not actually taken from the card (clearly was on my statement with transaction charges), then even though I asked to have the matter escalated, this still did not happen and ignored my requests. I have supplied all statement, copies , charges etc...and still not resolved or spoken to anyone senior.

    Understand that if you use Opodo, there is no complaints process to escalate anything, the contract you sign may not be followed by third party companies, and they just do not listen or read your emails/complaint! I have never come across a company like this or the employee Nahed who repeatedly does not acknowledge to escalate a problem... I need to find the regulatory body for this company. Even the CEO does not reply backor get senior management to look into the problems.

    Appalling Experience with Opodo – Endless Waiting and Poor Communication

    I am utterly disgusted with the abysmal service provided by Opodo. Since September, I have been waiting for a refund without any proactive communication from their end. It is infuriating that I am consistently the one reaching out for updates, and each time I do, I am met with the same excuse that they are waiting for the airline to respond.

    The sheer lack of effort on Opodo's part to chase the airline for my refund is mind-boggling. It appears that they are content with sitting on their hands, leaving me in the dark and frustrated. I expected a travel company to take responsibility and actively pursue resolution, but Opodo has fallen far short of that standard.

    This experience has been a complete letdown, and I will not tolerate such negligence. If you value your time, money, and sanity, steer clear of Opodo. Their customer service is a sham, and I would strongly advise against using their services.

    Plane tickets purchased for long-haul flights

    I recently bought four plane tickets from Budapest to Bali and had a really bad time with the e-ticket numbers and customer support. At the start, they gave us e-ticket numbers that didn't even exist, causing a lot of stress and confusion. We spent ages on the phone with the support team and they eventually fixed the issue. But now we still can't see our booking on Turkish Airline's website to pick seats together, which is so important for long flights. Opodo's response let us down, saying they couldn't do anything and we'd just have to hope for the best to get seats together on the almost fully booked flight. Overall, dealing with Opodo was frustrating and disappointing, so I wouldn't suggest booking through them.

    Prime membership benefits

    I had a really good chat with a customer service guy named Ramy. He was dead helpful and knew loads about why being a prime member is ace. His friendly manner and knowing his stuff made it a nice and informative chat. I reckon it's dead important for companies to have staff like Ramy who really look out for their customers. The wait to speak to him was decent too, which made the whole thing even better. Cheers Ramy!
