Booked online easily
As someone who had never booked a holiday online before, I was really impressed with how easy it was to arrange everything with Rail Discoveries. Our recent trip went off without a hitch and I had a great time from beginning to end. The schedule was well-planned, the places we stayed were really nice, and the guides really knew their stuff and were super friendly. I liked how everything was organised so well and the whole trip ran smoothly. I'm excited to book with Rail Discoveries again next time, knowing it will be just as amazing.
Family trip booking
We were so excited for a romantic getaway for just the two of us but had to change our plans when our son wanted to come along too. We couldn't get the date we wanted because it was fully booked, so we had to go for another date that was more expensive. The prices for hotels in London and the train tickets were so high that we ended up booking everything separately. Even with all these issues, we were happy with how everything turned out and would think about using the service again in the future.
Swiss Chalet holiday
I had such a great time on my recent Swiss Chalet holiday. The hotel, Alpenblick, was a lovely and cosy Swiss Chalet that really added to the whole experience. The trips we went on were well-organised and fun, and the travel arrangements were really smooth. I just want to give a big shoutout to Angie, our tour manager, for all her hard work in making sure we had an amazing holiday. Her attention to detail and dedication really made a difference and we really appreciated it.
Tour booking experience
My booking with Rail Discoveries was really easy and stress-free. Paul, the guy I spoke to, was so friendly and helpful. He knew loads about the tours and was great at answering all my questions. Booking was a breeze with him sorting everything out efficiently. The tour I picked looked like it was worth the money, with lots of cool places to visit and things to do. All in all, I'm happy with the service I got from Rail Discoveries.
Booking travel arrangements
Overall, booking my travel was pretty straightforward and easy to understand. The two people I spoke to were really nice and gave me all the info I needed. But, one of them said they'd check on getting me specific seats on my flights and let me know, but I haven't heard anything back from them. It's a bit disappointing and now I'm not sure what to expect in terms of service in the future.

Booking our holiday was so easy, we just did it over the phone. The staff were really friendly, knowledgeable, and really helpful. We've been on loads of holidays with this company and this latest one will be our third trip this year. Such a great company that we always love travelling with.

The guy who helped me out (we'll call him Thomas) was really lovely and he sorted everything out for me. He made sure I had all the info I needed before setting off on the tour. I'm feeling well-prepped and can't wait for my trip!
Italy holiday, Rail Discoveries
Our trip to Italy with Rail Discoveries was a bit of a mixed bag. The resort was nice and tidy, with big rooms and tasty food. But when it came to dining together, it wasn't quite the relaxing experience we were hoping for. The pool area was lovely, but the loud music got on our nerves. The tour group was a bit too big, and some of the people struggled to keep up with all the walking. However, our Tour Manager was really good, looking after those who needed a bit of extra care.
Puglia Rail Discoveries trip
The trip with Puglia Rail Discoveries was a bit of a mixed bag, to be honest. The info we got about the age group of people on the trip was way off, and some of the other passengers were downright rude at times. On the upside, the hotel turned out to be surprisingly great, despite looking shabby from the outside. The rooms were lovely and the food was plentiful, although the dining room was a bit noisy and overcrowded. Plus, some of the other guests weren't exactly friendly.
The schedule was pretty full-on, with lots of walking and early starts every day. Our tour guide, Howard, was a real gem though. He was so knowledgeable and nice, but some of the passengers were always picking faults with him for stuff that wasn't his fault at all.
All in all, there were some fun times on the trip, but it could have been better in terms of being upfront about everything, keeping things organised, and getting everyone to behave themselves better.Train trip purchase
The person who picked up the phone was really lovely and friendly. They took their time, didn't rush me at all, and patiently answered all my questions. They even listened to my long, chatty responses! It was great. Thanks a lot!

Disappointing Dordogne trip
I was really looking forward to my holiday in the Dordogne with this company, but it didn't quite live up to what I had hoped for. There were issues with communication, as well as some unresolved problems during the trip that left me feeling let down. I made sure to give my feedback, reached out to customer service on several occasions, and even sent detailed emails explaining everything that went wrong. But despite all of that, I still haven't heard anything back from them. It's really disappointing to see this kind of neglect and lack of concern for customer satisfaction.
Easy booking
I wanted to book a train journey and it was really simple. I could choose my dates and everything. Once I booked, I received an email straight away confirming my trip. It felt like magic!
Trip booking process
I booked a trip with this company recently, and it was pretty straightforward. But then I got an email saying I needed a visa to travel to the UK, even though I'm a British Citizen. This really confused and annoyed me because I thought British citizens didn't need a visa to visit their own country. So, I had to contact customer service to sort it out, which was a hassle and dampened the fun of planning my trip.
Tour package
Oh my goodness, the people at this place were really lovely and so helpful! They helped me choose a tour package and answered all of my questions. I haven't been on the tour yet, but I am super excited!
