    Van rental for travel

    My first time using YesCapa was pretty good. Renting a van for my trip was easy and hassle-free. However, I do have a couple of suggestions for making things even better. Firstly, it would be great to see a more detailed breakdown of the insurance costs and YesCapa fees in the pricing. Right now, they're all bundled together which can be a bit confusing for customers. Secondly, I reckon it would improve things for both travellers and van owners if the security deposit could be handled through the YesCapa platform, like how it's done on other rental sites like Airbnb or VRBO. Lastly, I think it would be handy for van owners to be able to leave comments for travellers, as well as the other way around at the end of the trip.

    CamperVan booking

    My recent time with YesCapa was absolutely fantastic. I booked a CamperVan for a weekend escape, but ran into a few problems with the vehicle. Luckily, the customer service team, especially a representative called Manon, really came through for us. Manon worked so hard to make sure we were looked after and got a replacement van quickly. Her commitment and professionalism were really top-notch. Thanks to her, our weekend getaway wasn't spoiled, and we could carry on with our trip smoothly. I can't thank her and the team at YesCapa enough for their exceptional service. Bravo to them, indeed.

    Hiring a campervan from YesCapa was absolutely fantastic. It's something me and my partner had been keen to try for ages, and YesCapa made it happen without any hassle. The staff were really helpful and knew their stuff, assisting us in picking out the perfect campervan for our trip. The booking process was easy and we were kept updated at every stage. The campervan itself was in great shape and had all the facilities we needed for a comfy journey. In short, our time with YesCapa went above and beyond our expectations, and we're already looking forward to our next booking with them.

    Recent van rental

    The whole rental process was really smooth from the beginning to the end. The paperwork was simple and easy to follow, which made booking a piece of cake. The van we hired was even better than we expected - it was clean, reliable and big enough to fit all our stuff. We didn't have any problems during our rental, so I can't really say anything about customer support if things did go wrong. All in all, I couldn't find any faults with the experience and I would definitely recommend this service to anyone looking for a trustworthy van rental.

    We strongly advise against using Yescapa. Don't waste your time and rent a van from a real rental company, with 24/7 customer service and competent staff.
    Yescapa claims to be a collaborative platform and number 1 on the van hire market, but we frankly find it hard to understand how this is possible. Yescapa has no customer service worthy of the name, doesn't give a ... about problems that may arise during rentals, has no emergency number, is closed at weekends, and only provides standardised answers without taking into account the specific situations in which renters find themselves. In fact, the platform is making money off tenants without providing a single service.
    Explanations: we rented a van in Scotland for 5 days, for the sum of 800 EUR ... Just two hours after taking possession of the vehicle (on a Friday), the van refused to start. After long attempts, 2 persons managed to restart it with their jump leads. At the nearest garage, we were told that the van had an electrical problem that caused the battery to run down erratically, but that it couldn't be declared faulty even though it was impossible to restart without jump leads. We had the owners, the RAC insurance company and Yescapa on the phone: everyone passed the quid as to what to do next. Yescapa's English number never answered (+44 20 3695 3852, always on voicemail with no possibility of leaving a message, so the phone hangs up straight away). On the French number (+33 5 33 52 21 65) we only managed to get one person on the phone. She was very quick to tell us that only the insurance company could help us... however, she also said that in the event of a faulty vehicle we could be reimbursed for the booking, as a technical fault was found less than 48 hours after we took possession of the vehicle. Except that when we asked for compensation for the stress and the problem with the van, Yescapa never again wanted to provide a refund or compensation. So on that famous Friday, the insurance company told us to go to our destination of the day, where a service truck helped us. The same evening Yescapa stopped answering, and it was impossible to contact Yescapa all weekend. No emergency number is provided. The insurance company could do nothing without the green light from Yescapa, apart from repatriate us to the point of departure, but without providing a replacement van (ridiculous compensation offered of £30 per night, bearing in mind that a hotel costs £200 at the very least, and that the spirit of the van is to have accommodation/transportation/accommodation 3 in 1). Even the insurance company and the owners couldn't get hold of Yescapa... We spoke to the insurance company on the phone about fifteen times, but the result was that nobody could do anything for us... We were torn between Yescapa, the insurance company and the owners. Nobody took responsibility. We were forced to find solutions on our own. At this rate and given Yescapa's margins, this situation is unacceptable and unfair.
    So don't trust Yescapa, if there's the slightest problem with your van rental, you'll be on your own, without any assistance, help, customer service or compensation.
    This is by far the worst travel rental experience we have ever had. Yescapa is not a reliable site.
    Subsequently, we were never able to get Yescapa on the phone. We filed a complaint and all they did was reply with standard emails that were useless.
    Run away and rent somewhere else. You may pay EUR 100 or 200 more, but at least you'll have peace of mind.

    Most importantly, they've been giving me loads of great rentals. I've been making some upgrades to the van I hire, but their service has really helped me land lots of new rentals. Their telephone customer service is spot on too, definitely deserving a five-star rating from me.

    Donana National Park is absolutely stunning, especially when you have a van to discover it at your leisure. Yescapa made it so simple to rent a van and fully appreciate the park's beauty. The process was seamless and stress-free, all thanks to the lovely and helpful team, particularly Cristobal. His support really enhanced the entire experience. The van was in fantastic condition, offering a cosy place to stay while exploring. I would definitely recommend Yescapa to anyone wanting to explore Donana National Park in a comfortable and stylish way.

    Ford Vendôme van rental with Louise Leroy

    The owners were really friendly and went out of their way to make our late arrival from Canada as smooth and comfortable as possible. Louise kindly picked us up from the train station and even gave us some food because it was too late to go shopping. We did have a bit of trouble with the heating, but it didn't ruin our stay at all. We were grateful for Louise driving us back to the station on our final day. If you're thinking of booking with Louise, don't hesitate - it's absolutely fantastic!

    Well-equipped camper van

    I had a great time with the camper van. It was really well put together, with lots of little touches that made it stand out. I especially liked the magnetic lamp and the way there were lights and sockets everywhere. The bed was big and comfortable, filling up the whole space. The owner was fantastic, giving me a good rundown of everything and being really accommodating with pick-up and drop-off. They were easy to get hold of when I had any questions during my rental.

    This company was a complete nightmare to deal with. We had booked a campervan for the Euros tournament and thought everything was sorted. However, when we tried to get in touch with the owner for some details about the van, we heard nothing back. It soon became obvious that we were dealing with a scammy owner. We promptly cancelled the booking and contacted YesCapa for a refund, but all we got were excuses and no clear answers. Their customer service just kept hiding behind unclear policies that didn't really help us. It was so frustrating to be left hanging with no help from the company.

    This platform is great for renting out camper vans. I've been renting out my van for about a year now, and I've never had any problems. The customer service team at YesCapa always responds quickly and sorts out any issues within a couple of days. One downside is that you can't communicate with travellers before confirming bookings, and the iOS app does have a few bugs.

    Horrendous motorhome rental experience

    I had the worst time renting a motorhome from this company. Their customer service is terrible - you can't even call them, only email. The breakdown assistance was a disaster, they blamed Yescapa for our booking mistake and left us stuck. They didn't give any refund or help, which was really frustrating.
