Took out a policy with AXA. Never claimed in almost 40 years. Had severe storm and suffered roof damage, shed damage and other outside items destroyed, Surveyor said it was wear and tear that had caused the damage to the roof and refused to accept the claim, outside items destroyed came under contents but AXA claims the policy has a clause that does not cover items that are classed as contents but outside! They oddly enough will cover the shed. I will be employing my own surveyor to challenge this. I would advise everybody to never use AXA. They take your money and refuse to pay. Unbelievable.
AXA Home Emergency
I made the mistake of using this Company for Home Emergency Cover, I had to make a claim when my roof developed a leak, it took them 2 weeks first time to send someone round to carry out a temporary job, the work carried out lasted 2 weeks, complained again and 6 weeks later I am still waiting for AXA to sort it out. Sent lots of emails and letters but they fail to answer them, contacted the Trading Standards who told me that you have a case to taking them to Court for breaking the contract and they can be made to pay for all the damage they have caused by not providing an emergency home insurance cover. I am at first making a complaint to the Ombudsman about this Company. Will not be using them again.
What a crap Company, thanks for telling me will not use them.

AXA emergency cover is a joke reading this, take them to Court.
I too is and still having problems with axa home insurance, I paid in full for a service of which I did not receive, it has been ongoing since December last year i have yet and still waiting for a answer
AXA Home Emergency
Took out an insurance cover Saga / Axa Home Emergency cover where they claim they will sort out the problem within a few hours. I had a leaking roof, reported it, it took them 14 days to send out a roofer to do temp works to stop the leak, then the works only lasted for a few weeks. When I complained again they told me i had to make another claim to get the roofer back. They told me once the bad weather had gone they would do a permanent job to the roof. Then they told me that they would not be doing this work. What a Shambles.

IF YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE A MISFORTUNE OF HOME BURGLARY THEN FROM DAY ONE EMPLOY YOUR OWN ASSESSOR BECAUSE THE LOSS ADJUSTER SENT BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY WORKS FOR THEM. AFTER FIVE MONTHS STRUGGLE TO GET OUR CLAIM SORTED WE WERE NOT GETTING ANYWHERE. AS A MATTER OF FACT WE HAD THE IMPRESSION THEY WERE TRYING NOT PAY FOR OUR CLAIM AND MADE US FEEL AS IF WE HAD INSTIGATED THE BURGLARY. ONCE WE EMPLOYED OUR OWN ASSESSOR THE TONE OF THE COMPANY CHANGED AND HE MANAGED TO GET US MOST OF THE CLAIM EXCEPT ONE ITEM WHICH WAS QUITE EXPENSIVE.
WRITING TO THEIR CEO WAS A WASTE OF TIME.THEY AGREED TO PAY SOME COMPENSATION AS TO THE WAY WE WERE TREATED.ONE OF THEIR COMPLEX CLAIM PERSON ON THE PHONE AGREED THAT BECAUSE THE ITEM WAS EXPENSIVE, THE INSURANCE COMPANY ARE RELUCTANT TO PAY.
WE HAD PREMIUM INSURANCE COVER AND UNLIMITED SINGLE VALUABLE ITEM.
WE ARE NOW TAKING THE MATTER TO THE FINANCIAL-OMBUDSMAN.

PLEASE DO NOT INSURE WITH AXA BECAUSE THEY ARE HAPPH TO COLLECT YOUR MONEY BUT REFUSE TO PRIVIDE YOU WITH THE SERVICE WHEN YOU MAKE A CLAIM.
I RECEIVED THREE DOCUMENTS FROM AXA, TWO STATING YOU ARE COVERED AND A THIRD RECENT DOCUMENT STATING YOU ARE NOT COVERED.
Had an accident. Told them I would buy a new car on 14th January and asked for help to carry on with the insurance. 10am phoned them and they quoted me £2000 plus which was the same size of the cheque settlement. I begged the woman to reduce the premium. She said no. Now they are threatening to send 3rd party debt collector for the £160 outstanding premium. How is this fair? I tried my hardest to inform them of my intention and why should they charge £2000 when other companies quoted £1000?
Axa (Tesco Home ins) Buildings/Contents Insurance Dreadful, Emergency Service Even Worse
I had a radiator burst in my bedroom which caused water damage through the ceiling into my lounge. The emergency service took over 6 hours to arrive. The company were incompetent and drained my system via a price of garden hose from the top of my boiled. They leaked water into the boiler causing various parts to break including the pcb board they also broke a valve by the tank. Axa emergency left myself and my children one of which is disabled and classed as vulnerable without hot water and heating for over 5 weeks leaving us to live/keep warm in one room. The employees including the mangers made numerous threats and accusations and I am in the middle of my written complaint after which I intend to go to the ombudsman. The claim for the water damage was just as bad dealing with rude incompetent staff having to argue and fight for every item which has been damaged/claimed for. DO NOT INSURER YOU PROPERTY WITH TESCOS BANK(AXA UNDERWRITERS). I had every add on and extra and I was told that a massive deduction would be taken off my carpet settlement if I didn’t go with the person they get a massive percent off with. I broke my glasses whilst emptying buckets/pans of water coming from the burst radiator I stumbled back nocked my glasses off my bed and and accidentally trod on them. I was told that because they weren’t damaged by the water from the radiator I would have to make a separate claim and pay another excess. Clearly I should not have tried to stop more water damage happening and just left the radiator water to flow for the 6 plus hours it took the incompetent emergency engineer to arrive. I could go on an on about this claim and how badly it is/has been handled but I won’t. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE do NOT TAKE OUT TESCOS BANK/AXA HOME INSURANCE OR ITS EMERGENCY SERVICE THEY ARE APPALLING. I should give zero stars for everything.
AXA is best for home and car insurance
I earlier insured my car FROM axa, they had lot of covers and offers to it. It really made me go for.
I have been with them like for last 4 years, also got my covers for the car when I met with accident. It was so easy with AXA. they help with everthing.
GETTING home insured with them was a good choice.
Absolutely unbelievably bad, left shocked at they're final response, even sending a letter including a few lines in black and white that are clearly illegal,theeeee worst.... please avoid this money grabbing corporate company
