Klarstein Gatsby Electric Grill, full view review
Bought a Gatsby Electric grill outdoor for around £150 few weeks back. Upon receiving it, it was easy to assemble, clear instructions overall. The quality of the grill plates was great with non stick coating, however the outdoor stand holders and foot could be sturdier, but was fine for its purpose. I had managed to use it indoors and outdoors works fine either way. No issues so far except when it was too hot it needed to switch off and cool down for a few minutes. The heat control switch works well as you're able to control temperature for all types of meats, only downside to buying the product for UK consumers was it's a European plug which I had to get additional adapter for. absolutly fantastic value. everything perfect i am so happy with the fire easy to instal excelent communication brilliant delivery team everything just great. the fire looks amazing on the wall i hid the wires and it looks like its floating. the remote makes it so easy to use, you can have the side lights on or off, two heat settings with auto timing to use like in a car set and forget. the white pebbles simply spread out over the bed and place the logs on top and your done. we have had a few friends say how the fire looks fanatastic so the wife is over the moon. i read some pretty bad feedback on this site but i took no notice thank god i did as its worked out well for us. honestly the value and build quality is very good. so modern , so nice and i am so happy thank you.

Delivery took over 20 days instead of 5, raclette grill was broken on arrival :no answer to 3 emails,, 45 minutes waiting on the phone gets you no one (don't bother...). So I guess it's order and pray :), or best to order somewhere else...

Mobile air conditioning
After spending so much money on air conditioning I expected more. It has arrived in very poor packaging. The box was ripped and open. I was shocked when I saw it.

Also I found some scratches on the exterior.

I ordered two products on separate occassions from them and they both arrived in great condition in less than four days. The quality of the products (an electric fan and a coffee maker) is quite high and more than you'd expect for the price paid. Great design and high quality materials.

Freezer
Absolutely disgusted freezer 16 months only my refrigerator is colder than this. I need it sent back was sent shipping labels and told to take it to the post office in the UK having a ****ing laugh or what. Post office wont accept items this size. Never will i shop with them again. Disgusting customer service.

I had a very negative experience and I thought of suing them but then again that means wasting time and energy.. The refrigerator stopped functioning after 11 months in the middle of this hot summer in Paris, and I had to buy another immediately. Klarstein promised to send movers to take it so that I can have a refund. The movers would take it only if I ''put it out on the pavement'' which sounded a bit unreasonable but I hired help and carried it downstairs (six floors). However, for three weeks nobody came to get it, although I called Klarstein every day. Somebody at Klarstein fave me the number of the movers but they had no idea what I was talking about. New phone calls, a waste of time. In short, very bad behaviour and of course very bad product to begin with.

Superb piece of kit. Highly efficient, and on full power, I measured the air emanating from the machine at 15°C, whilst the exhaust was 33°C!

Aircon unit worked for 3 weeks then stopped working due to water leak.
Company arranged collection and took away Aircon unit and offered me a full refund. this was last summer 2020 I am still waiting for my full refund? Company are now saying they did not collect my Aircon unit and that as this happened over 6 months ago they can not check with the courier company anymore. Awful Customer Service.Shockingly bad company. Does not honour warranties. Does not have a complaints procedure in place. AVOID!
If you think you are going to buy quality just because you are buying from a German company... think again. Klarstein is the worst German company I have had to deal with, and has left me wholly disappointed. In October 2019 I purchased the Lucia Rossa Stand Mixer. The item arrived with an obvious defect which the company provided a small refund on. Despite using the device less than 10 times in a year, within a year the device had developed a hazardous fault - when in operation it was grinding pieces of plastic which then fell onto the mixing bowl itself. Originally, I thought a company of Klarstein's stature would resolve the problem appropriately and reassure my trust in them: after all this was both a health hazard and a technical flaw under warranty. I approached Klarstein in late November 2020 about the fault and they advised me to wait until after BREXIT is completed to return the item, because of fears with BREXIT regulations. In January 2021, I sent them the item expecting a replacement. After several days had passed with no confirmation or communication, I decided to approach the company myself on the 9th of February, as my tracking number was showing that the item had received. I had to chase the company to verify the item had been received, and from that point the nightmare begun: Klarstein told me that they no longer send replacement items to the UK, against the advice they gave me before BREXIT. They supposedly issued a refund to my old debit card, which my bank is still trying to trace and reimburse me. What is appalling is how cold, ruthless and hostile the company has become following that point, treating me with contempt and with an accusatory tone: they had done their part, everything else was my fault and/or responsibility! They refused on several occasions to log a complaint, because their company does "not have a complaints procedure". They are hiding behind BREXIT and the new complications in consumer law to provide disgraceful customer support. It is not the 6th of April 2021, and I have yet to receive the funds in my account. The company is asking me to solve this problem with my bank, which I am trying to. I approached the UK European Consumer Centre, which is the authority able to resolve complaints, and a complaint has been lodged both with them, as well as with my bank's Cards Dispute.
In short:
Bad quality products, potentially hazardous.
Non-existent customer support.
Company has no complaints department or procedure.
Company does not honour warranty obligations.
If you need a refund, you are on your own. Several other customers have confirmed that the company is slow and cumbersome with refunding customers. I am not alone. There is a growing body of evidence of disappointed British customers. This is not a coincidence, or a one-off.
They will hide behind the safety that BREXIT gives them to provide excuses. Yet, they still take orders on their British website with impunity.
Do yourself a favour and find another product from another company. Don't take chances. Klarstein does not value your custom and they will try to find a way to screw you. You are better off burning your money.Sue I

Shockingly bad company. I can see that for the past two/three months their reviews have generally been bad - maybe something has changed.
I ordered a beer machine for at home. That was November 2020.
The product arrived and was faulty (not ideal as it was an Xmas gift) plus the instructions are very poorly translated from German to English - nearly impossible to follow.
So I have a faulty product (CO2 not running and screws/pipes loose) - I contacted the customer service team early January.
Over the past 2 months I have been ignored, lied to, patronised, fobbed off consistently.
Only today have I received my refund (over 60 days later) and that is purely because I rang yesterday and refused to get off the phone.
Funny how that, when I refused to leave them alone, they could miraculously manually process the refund. Prior to that they 'couldn't contact their accounts team and had to put in a request'
I worry how many people are currently unable to get a refund - many people don't like to call and complain etc. so I guarantee their emails are simply being ignored as mine were.

ordered the cooker hood had it fitted professionally including paying for metal cover to be cut to size Never got to use. fitted the filters with great difficulty as the fittings on one side Left was faulty and looked slightly damaged. When switched the hood on hood on the vibration from the hood sounded as if the wall was being demolished. Contacted the company and was asked to return it to Berlin Pre paid. When i checked via email on the dispatch of replacement received reply no sending another due to a customs issue. When i asked about compensation for the cost of the metal cutting and the money i had paid for it to be fitted they said they would not considerably repaying the original costs. We now have a Zanusi hood cost a little more but the difference in quality of finish and performance there to see. Would i buy anything off this company short answer NO!! customer service 0ne star product one star
Wall heater
Absolute worst customer service. Can not get a response about refunding a defective product. 10 emails and support tickets totally unanswered. The heater is fine but the app does not work and they will not respond to my requests for either a working app or a refund. Buy a warme heater and keep well away from this company.

Hotrod Masterplan Dutch Oven Set 7-pc
Customer Service - What a joke!
In October I ordered a Hotrod Masterplan Dutch Oven Set 7-pc - this includes a wooden box as part of the set to help transport and store the set safely, which arrived broken. Willing to be flexible, I contacted them about a replacement and or a refund for the cost of the box.
It has been over 2 months of ignored emails, automated responses telling me they assume my issue has been dealt with when nobody had bothered to contact me to resolve the issue. Telling me to return the box and after doing so, requesting I return the entire set! Claiming to help resolve the issue within 5-7 working days and receiving nothing!

The electric fire was shipped from Germany in a thin cardboard box so arrived with four dents, missing the feature logs and the remote not working.
Nearly a month later of emails and Klarstein refuse to send out a replacement and collect the defective item they shipped.
They want me to take a 23kg parcel to a UPS collection point 20 minutes drive away.
Klarstein Customer Service ignore my emails stating clearly I cannot do this.
I even write to the founder of the company, Peter Chaljawski, but he ignored my email.
I thought German companies were very efficient, but Klartstein are an unfortunate exception.
