Set of Garden Chairs
Terrible company. I ordered a set of garden chairs in March (the website promising delivery within 4 weeks). It is now 24 June and I have still not received them. The Customer Services personnel consistently lie about despatch/delivery etc. Avoid at all costs.
I bought a Hay kettle 6 weeks ago. It arrived without the plug adapter that it was supposed to have. I got in touch with customer services and it took them weeks to respond with a promise to send an adapter out. A further 3 weeks later, and still no adapter, another flimsy apology that they were having difficulty sending an adapter (???) and for me to buy my own! I paid a premium price for a product I can't use for which Made in Design have taken zero responsibility for. I won't be using them again.

Brian in the shipping department needs to get the new job, I’ve never in my life experience such poor service and under experienced staff extremely extremely rude and cannot deliver to timescales I was told five working days for delivery and 3 1/2 weeks later here we are still waiting for the goods we ordered and have paid for! Extremely difficult and rude customer service team I have literally spent over four hours of my life trying to get an update on delivery and each time I get told something different, maybe made in design need to train their staff on basic communication or are they all disabled? Avoid this company at all cost if you are one and to get your goods delivered in a timely manner!!!! The website would not allow me to leave a one star review so I had to leave to if I had my choice it would be -1
String Desk Unit
I have been disappointed and frustrated by the customer service. I have been chasing this organisation for almost a year. They sold me an item which was faulty and damanged. I provided images, feedback etc. I was promised an exchange multiple times but this never materialised. I am still awaiting a response. The first time I contacted them was in November 2019!
I would highly recommedn purchasing your item through an alternative website with more responsive and responsible customer service.
Made in Design proved itself as an unreliable retailer and I am disappointed as there is no way to get help from their customer services. I ordered a pendant light in July. It came all boxed up. The glass shade was intact but the decorative bulb which was in its own box came shattered. It's been over two weeks that I am trying to arrange for an exchange but the online exchange does not work and the customer services are not replying to my emails. Their phone lines are either not working or after 15 minutes of holding the line a message in foreign language is played and I am disconnected. I'm very disappointed with the service and I will avoid them in the future.
2 garden chairs
Ordered and paid £500 for them on 21st June. Was told they had been despatched. Impossible to get through to 'customer services' depsite many emails, calls, tweets etc. It's now the end of July and nothing has arrived. I think it's a scam or they are going / have gone out of business. Attempting to get my money back. Please avoid this company.

Worst customer service ever! It was a real nightmare. I have bought a shower but it didn't fit. Straight away I have contacted the customer service to return the item and get a refund. First of all : you have to pay for your return ( prepaid label or collection) it took ages ( 1 month) to get the return label even if I tried to be in touch with the customer service to speed up the process. But they were to efficient at all, they replied one a week or 2, you can't reach them by phone. I just lost my temper by chasing them. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I have been calling and emailing Made in Design for weeks. I ordered a product on 16th June and then changed order on 30th June. I was told that the product would be with me within 5 working days. I have emailed 4 times to their customer service and only receive automated responses saying someone will get back to me in 2 working days.... last response was 4 working days. Their phone lines are never answered. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed with the poor service

I have had a similar experience to J Richardson. I ordered a desk. Only two of the three components arrived. I emailed immediately and awaited a response. It’s been 9 weeks since then and I am still waiting patiently. They do not pick up the phone and are not treating this with any level of urgency.
Poor product. Received a table top, trestle legs and 4 screws. You have to complete the build yourself apparently which will involve measuring out for the legs and drilling and fitting them. This is much more than self-assembly. Even when built it seems likely to be flimsy.
Not what I expected for the price.
Raised issues with MID. They wont engage with the detail, just offered return at my cost, £100. The UK customer service number is not answered.
