Zip-up crop top purchase
I bought a zip-up crop top for the gym online but it didn't fit me properly. I went to the store to return it but they said they couldn't because it was considered lingerie. However, on the returns form, there were options to explain why the item was being returned. Nowhere during the online purchase did it say that the item was non-returnable. If I had known, I wouldn't have bothered buying it. The customer service was pretty bad overall, so I won't be shopping there again.
Click and collect order
I made a click and collect order from this store, and honestly, I'm really let down by the service. It's been more than a week since I placed my order, and I'm still waiting for it to be ready for collection. It's just not on, especially when other stores like New Look and Matalan can get orders ready in just 3 working days. If this is the level of service they give, I won't be shopping at this store again.
Jeans and T-shirts
I was a bit worried when I ordered my jeans and T-shirts online because some people said bad things about it, but after 4 days everything arrived and it was all great! The clothes were exactly how I expected them to be – comfy, stylish, and the right size. I saw that some people had trouble returning items, but luckily I didn't have to do that. The only thing that wasn't good was the delivery guy left my package outside and didn't even wait for the door to be opened. Not really Peacocks' fault, but still not great. I would definitely shop here again, though.
Blue tee-shirt wrong colour received
I popped into Peacocks the other day to grab a nice blue tee-shirt, but can you believe it, I got home and found out they'd given me a black one by mistake! So frustrating! I rang up customer service hoping they'd sort it out sharpish, but they were useless - just said I had to trot all the way back to the store for a refund. What a pain, what a waste of time!
Delayed order, missing address
I bought something online not long ago and I've been really let down by the way they've treated me. It's been more than six weeks since I ordered it and it still hasn't turned up. When I got in touch with customer services, they told me that there was a problem with the address I gave them, which was my fault. But even though they admitted that, they still haven't given me a refund or sent a new one out. I think this kind of service is just not on, and now I'm feeling annoyed and like I've been left out of pocket.
Bought stuff
I've just read some reviews and it looks like this shop is terrible! I'm still waiting to get my money back from March when I returned items that cost £57. It's really frustrating and I won't give up until I get it back. Maybe we should all report this awful service to Watchdog. I'm so angry! 😡
Trousers and shirt
I've had such a terrible experience with this online company's customer service. It took them a whole two weeks and four emails before they even bothered to respond to me asking about a missing refund. And when they did reply, they said the item wasn't eligible for a refund, even though there was nothing about that on the item listing. It's been another week since then and I still haven't heard anything about the return. It's really disappointing because I used to be a loyal customer when they had a physical store in my town, but now their online service has left me feeling really frustrated.
Oversized trousers
I recently bought a pair of trousers online, thinking they would fit perfectly. Sadly, they turned out to be too big for me. I thought about going to the shop to swap them for the right size, but they didn't have it in stock. Since I used PayPal to pay, I couldn't get a refund. I looked around the shop but couldn't find anything except for some crop trousers that were too long for me. When I asked about a credit note, they refused. I ended up having to send my parcel back through Royal Mail and pay for the postage, which was quite inconvenient. Overall, my experience was disappointing, and I don't think I'll be shopping here again.
Hoodie purchase
I bought three hoodies from this shop not long ago. I got them in black, striped, and pale green. But, after just three washes (and no tumble drying), I saw a lot of pilling on all three of them. It's a shame really, I was hoping for better quality from this store. The material hasn't lasted well and the value for money just isn't there. I'm now unsure about buying clothes from this shop again in case I have the same problem with other items.
Clothing items
I recently bought some clothes from this shop. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't very good. They didn't give me the discount I should have got, even though I tried to sort it out by email several times. It was disappointing to not hear back from their customer service team. This will be my first and last order from them, as the poor customer service really put me off. Also, I had to pay to send the items back through Royal Mail. It seems like I'm not the only one having problems with this shop, judging by other reviews.
Online order
I had a terrible time shopping on their website. Despite being nice on the phone, they didn't respond well to my emails. I had to reach out twice as my order didn't arrive for two weeks. My address was wrong on the order, so I had to call to fix it. Even though they corrected it a week ago, my order is still missing. They told me a week ago that they passed it to the delivery partner, but I still haven't heard anything. This is the worst online shopping I've ever done. It's surprising how they can keep customers waiting without updating us. I recommend sticking to shopping in-store and avoiding the website.
Stained sweatshirt purchase
The sweatshirt I ordered from here arrived stained which was really disappointing. It was meant to be a birthday gift for a child, so it was even more upsetting when it turned up like that. I had to go through the hassle of sending it back, and on top of that, they charged me over £5 for the return shipping, even though it wasn't my fault the item was damaged. What's worse, no one from customer service even bothered to reply to my emails about the issue. This isn't the first time I've had problems with this company, so I won't be buying from them again for sure.
Refund request
It's been three weeks now and I've been trying to reach out to customer service about a refund I haven't got yet. I've sent a few emails but haven't heard back at all. I also tried calling but the phone just keeps ringing with no one picking up. It's really disappointing and frustrating not getting any communication or response.
Shoes and blouse
Oh my gosh, I just can't deal with the negative comments! So, my order arrived surprisingly fast and the shoes were adorable, but the blouse was way too big for me. It's all good though because I used PayPal and managed to return it to the Manchester store. I ended up getting this really cute sweatshirt instead, which I love. The staff at the store were incredibly quick and helpful, I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
Click and Collect payment with PayPal
I've just bought something online and opted to collect it in-store using Click and Collect. I paid with PayPal. But, when I went to pick up my stuff, I was told that since I used PayPal, I couldn't try the items on in the store. I could only return them by post. I was pretty gutted because no other shop has ever done this to me. The items didn't fit and I lost money. I won't be using this service again because of this hassle.
Skinny jeans, tried to refund
I bought a pair of skinny jeans, but when I got home they were way too tight. I thought no worries, I'll just return them. So I went back to the shop and gave my receipt, but the lady behind the counter said I needed a second receipt which I never got. I explained this, but she didn't believe me and accused me of lying. She refused to give me a refund, which was so unfair and rude. I left the shop feeling upset and frustrated. I won't be going back there and I'll make sure to tell my friends not to shop there either.
4 pairs of jogging bottoms
Recently, I bought four pairs of jogging bottoms from this shop, but I was let down to see all four pairs had significant bobbling on the crotch area and one pair also had bobbling down the legs. Worried about the quality, I got in touch with customer service on the phone and via email, and they told me to take the items to the store in Parkstone, Dorset. When I went to the store and talked to the manager, they told me the bobbling and material breaking down were seen as "normal" after just one wash. I was surprised by this, as it seemed to me that the material wasn't good enough. Also, the manager suggested I had worn the items many times, which I found a bit offensive. After discussing more with customer service, I managed to officially complain. Eventually, the store manager reluctantly gave a refund for three items after waiting for 15 minutes, but insisted I pay to return the fourth pair. That felt like bad customer service, as I'd have to pay again if they thought it was due to wear and tear after only one wash. Overall, I was disappointed with the company's values and poor customer service, as well as the low quality of the material that wore out so quickly. I won't be buying from them again.
Faulty item needing to be returned.
I bought something at this store when I was on holiday, but when I got home, I found out it was faulty. I reached out to customer service to ask how to return it, but all they said was to take it back to the store where I bought it. Since I wasn't going back there anytime soon, that wasn't really helpful for me. Their lack of other suggestions and unhelpful short email just made me feel frustrated and like they weren't supporting me as a customer.
Latest purchase - disappointment
I had been avoiding going to the store for a bit, but then I thought I'd give it another go. To my disappointment, it turned out to be even worse than before. The item I bought was not only more expensive than a couple of years ago, but the quality was also much lower. It's sad to see a shop that was once dependable go downhill like this. I definitely won't be going back anytime soon.
Trousers purchase
Although I've had good experiences shopping at Peacocks before, my recent time there left me a bit disappointed. I found a pair of trousers I really liked, but they didn't have my size in store. A staff member kindly offered to order them for me and get them delivered, but then they said I'd have to pay £1.99 for delivery. I was surprised by this, as I thought the store probably gets deliveries regularly without extra cost. Even though it's not a lot of money, this unexpected charge made me change my mind about buying the trousers. I think Peacocks should think about changing their policy on delivery charges, as I haven't come across this in other shops.
