    Broadband service setup

    Fibre broadband purchase

    The fibre broadband service I got turned out to be a huge letdown. I've only had it for 3 days, and I've been dealing with non-stop buffering, along with that annoying blue circle popping up every now and then, along with messages telling me "something went wrong, please try again later." This is definitely not what I signed up for, as I was promised a reliable service. I really should have gone with a different provider like Now Broadband, since I never had these problems when I was with them. In the meantime, I had to resort to tethering my Giffgaff mobile, which gave me a much more stable and dependable connection for several devices for a good 3 weeks without a single drop.

    Moving house internet transfer

    I attempted to move my internet service to my new house, but the person I was chatting with in customer service disappeared after saying they'd be back in a minute. I was told I couldn't transfer my service and needed to cancel it and start a new account. I tried calling the number given several times, but couldn't get through. In the end, I was hit with a £112 cancellation fee. They did give me another number to call, but it didn't seem to be the right one. I'm really let down by the poor customer service and lack of communication.

    I decided to go with this broadband provider because they don't raise their prices once you sign up, which is pretty rare these days.     Fiber broadband installation

    I had a few hiccups during the installation of my fiber broadband, but Open Reach sorted them out quickly and efficiently. The previous supplier had cut off the feed, but the Open Reach person fixed it in no time. The broadband is doing the job well, with an average download speed of 72.6 Mbps. I know I don't have access to full fibre in my area, so I'm happy with this speed for now. There were a couple of occasions when the broadband seemed to restart in the early hours, but it sorted itself out and hasn't happened again. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the service, although I'm not sure what will happen when BT changes the landline to internet. But for now, I'm pleased with everything.

    I've just changed to this new broadband provider because my old one suddenly doubled their prices.     Slow internet

    So I bought internet from this place because they promised it would be super fast, like 54mb fast. But you know what? It's actually less than 1mb. I can't even load Facebook or watch YouTube videos properly, it's pretty disappointing. The ad from another company said I could get over 100mb, so why did I even bother with this one? Plus, I've tried calling them like 20 times and I can never get through. It's really frustrating!

    Switched from expensive provider

    I decided to change my provider to this one to save some money, even though my old one was really fast. This new provider seems to be working well too. I can still watch all my favourite shows on Netflix and video call my friends on Zoom without any buffering problems. The best part is I don't have to stress about the cost going up or negotiating a lower price for at least 18 months. It's only been 10 days since I switched, but I'm quite pleased with it up to now.

    Faulty broadband

    I've never had such bad customer service in my life. When my broadband went wrong, trying to contact them was a nightmare. The chat line wasn't working, and when I tried to call them, the promise of being "24/7 available" was a complete joke! Finally, after many messages, they rang me, but I couldn't answer at that time, so I asked them to call back in 10 minutes. That was 2 days ago now, and I'm still waiting for them to ring. In the meantime, my speeds are stuck between zero and 8mbs, even though their speed checker says I should be getting 80mbs. I'm so frustrated and really let down by their lack of urgency and efficiency in sorting out my problem.

    Fibre Broadband upgrade

    I upgraded my regular broadband to fibre with this company around a year ago, and I wish I hadn't. Ever since the upgrade, I've had trouble connecting to services like Netflix, which I'm paying for but can't really use. On top of that, I've been having problems viewing Gmail properly on my screen. It's really annoying to be paying for something that's not working properly, and if these problems aren't fixed soon, I'll have to switch to a different provider.
