    The mobile phone network enables wireless communication using mobile devices, such as mobile phones, smart phones or tablets. Mobile phone networks provide the necessary infrastructure and are operated by mobile phone providers. In addition to the access network, which establishes the wireless connection to the terminal devices by radio, a core network exists that connects the individual access points to each other. The core network ensures that mobile users can exchange information with those using other access networks or external networks. The main distinguishing factor between fixed and mobile networks is in the access network. The landline network also uses a similar or the same core network, but, as opposed to the mobile network, uses wired technologies in its access network. One popular brand in this industry is Giffgaff.

    Giffgaff works in a different way from most networks. It doesn't offer traditional phone contracts – instead it sells monthly pay-as-you-go Sim cards that you top up with credit or bundles of texts, minutes and data. Goodybag prices start at £6 a month, giving you 1GB of data with unlimited minutes and texts. Spending more gives you more minutes, texts and data. Costs outside your monthly allowance are reasonable – calls to UK mobiles and landlines are 25p a minute (free to other Giffgaff numbers) and 10p per text – although the cost per minute continues to creep up over the past couple of years.

    I recently tried out the trade-in service and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by how it went. The prices they offered were really good, sometimes even up to 40% more than other big comparison sites like WeBuyAnyPhone and Envirofone. What I liked most was that they didn't dock any money for phones locked to a network or with a low battery - it made everything much easier. I received the money within 5 working days without any issues, which was brilliant. The help I got from the GiffGaff community and their dedicated agents was really lovely and made the whole process of trading in my phone super smooth.

    Fast payment for Samsung Galaxy Note 9

    I had a really good experience with the company. They offered me £200 for my Samsung Galaxy Note 9, which was more than other places. I wasn't sure at first about sending my phone in case they tried to pay me less, but I decided to give it a go and sent it off in my own packaging with Royal Mail Special Delivery for tracking and insurance. I was pleasantly surprised when I got the full payment through Paypal the very next working day after posting it. It was a quick and reliable process. I would definitely tell other people to use this service.

    At first, I was a bit unsure about using this phone recycling service because of the bad reviews I saw online. But I decided to give it a go and created a postal note on October 6th, sending my phone to them on the 7th. To my surprise, on the 11th, I got an email saying my phone matched the description and I'd be getting the full amount quoted. I checked my bank account today and they did indeed pay the full amount. Overall, it was a really easy and trouble-free experience for me.

    Trade-in phone

    I recently tried to trade in my old phone in the hope of getting a fair price for it. I took great care to package the device well, keeping it in good condition and even taking off the screen protector and case to make sure it looked its best. However, I was taken aback and frustrated when I got a new quote claiming there was an issue with the screen burn that wasn't real. I tried to reject the new quote, but it didn't work. Trying to get help online and over the phone only confused me more and made me feel let down. The lack of clear communication and responsibility made me feel like I had been tricked and unsure about what would happen with my trade-in. I wouldn't advise anyone to use this service if they're looking to trade in their devices.

    I traded in my old phone with this company recently and it's been nothing but problems since. The main issue is I can't check on my trade-in progress because I don't have an account with them. It's really frustrating not knowing what's going on with my phone. On top of that, Royal Mail says they got my phone but the company says they didn't. And to top it off, whenever I reach out to customer service, they just ignore me. It's not right that there's no communication or accountability.

    Faulty phone warranty refusal

    I am really disappointed with how this company has treated me. When I bought the phone, I thought the warranty would cover any problems, but when it broke due to a connection issue, Giffgaff wouldn't fix it. They said the small scratches on the screen protector meant the warranty was void, even though Samsung said they probably weren't the problem. It's not right that Giffgaff won't stick to their promise of repairing the phone for free like they said they would in the warranty.

    Pixel 6 Pro camera repair

    I've used their services before and it was good, but my recent experience has left me a bit confused. I sent in my Pixel 6 Pro because of a camera issue, and they said they could fix it for £30, much less than the first estimate of over £100. When I got my phone back, all the cameras were working fine, and I even found a selfie of the person who supposedly fixed it on my phone. This has made me doubt their honesty and morals, as it seems like they might be trying to trick customers for money.

    I recently sent off my iPhone 14 Pro Max for a trade-in, but the company still hasn't received it as of 2nd November. It's been really frustrating trying to get in touch with customer service as the communication form they provided doesn't have clear instructions for trade-ins. I'm worried about the £685.50 trade-in value and the time and effort it might take to sort this out.     Refurbished handset purchase

    I bought a refurbished phone from this company not long ago and I have to say, I was really let down by the quality of the product and the customer service. I've been a regular customer with them for ages, but this experience has me wondering if they really care about customer loyalty or safety. The phone I got was faulty, covered in visible earwax on the speaker, and had loads of scratches on the screen. When I got in touch with customer service about it, all they said was to send it back if I wasn't happy. It's just not good enough to treat customers like that.

    Galaxy Flip Z phone

    That company is a total scam! I sent them my Galaxy Flip Z phone, which was in perfect condition, and they initially offered me £125 for it. But then they suddenly dropped the offer to just £24.80, claiming there was "screen burnout." When I said no to their revised offer and asked for my phone back, they just ignored me and went ahead with recycling it. I tried reaching out to them several times to find out where my phone was, but they insisted it had already been recycled and wanted proof that I had refused their offer. When I asked for an email address to send them the proof, they conveniently didn't give me one. They're nothing but thieves, so avoid them like the plague!

    I used the screen repair service recently and I was really disappointed with what happened. They ended up making my phone screen even worse and to top it off, they gave me a really cheap quote for the repair. Even though I took photos of my phone and its packaging before sending it off, they denied that they were at fault. I'm really let down by the service I received and I wouldn't advise anyone else to use it.

    Refurbished phone purchase

    I bought a second-hand phone from this company back in November 2022. Unfortunately, just six weeks later, the phone started playing up. At first, it was happening on and off, so I wasn't too worried. But when the problem persisted, I thought it was best to send it back for a check-up.
