New customer sign-up
I've just become a new customer with this company, and I have to say, signing up was really easy and quick. The customer service rep I spoke to, Meena, really knew her stuff and gave me all the info I needed to make a good choice. Setting everything up was easy peasy, thanks to the step-by-step help they gave. But, since I'm new, I'll have to wait and see how good the service really is in terms of speed and reliability.
Fiber broadband installation
Yesterday, a guy called Charlie finished setting up my fibre broadband. We had a small hiccup because of a road problem, but it wasn't Lightspeed Broadband's fault. They sorted it out by getting permission from the council to fix the road. They kept me informed throughout and did everything as they said they would. I used to have Sky Fibre, but I'm liking Lightspeed so far - everything's working great, even my cameras and satellite.
Super fast broadband
Wow, Lightspeed is so fast! The person I spoke to was really knowledgeable and even gave me a great deal that was technically expired but still valid. They explained everything really well and I'm super excited to have such a fast connection now!
Fast and reliable broadband service
I'm really impressed with the super fast and reliable broadband service I've been getting. The speed never drops, and I haven't had any problems with traffic management or being slowed down. The upload speed has really improved my browsing experience, and having IPv6 technology is a great extra benefit. The customer service is excellent, although it can take a bit of time to hear back sometimes. The only downside I've found is that there's no support available on weekends, which can be annoying if there are any problems that crop up.
Setting up my broadband
So, I thought I'd give setting up broadband at home a go, but it was all a bit overwhelming at the start. Anyway, there was this guy I dealt with, let's just call him Bob, he was really great and made sure everything was sorted out properly. Honestly, I was completely lost but Bob was really patient and took the time to explain it all to me. So now, finally, I can enjoy watching my favourite shows without any annoying buffering problems. Gigabit fibre to the home service
In my past experience, I've had a lot of issues with the service from this broadband company - renewals were a pain, and technical problems left me feeling pretty disgruntled. But, I'm happy to say things have got a lot better lately. For the last 6 months, there's been no unexpected downtime, and the speeds have been consistently high at over 900 Mb/s for uploads and downloads. Plus, they've ditched CGNAT, so now you can pay a bit extra for a static IP address, which has been a real game-changer. It's made managing my network much easier, setting up firewalls, opening specific ports, and accessing my home network from afar. This has been especially handy for things like online gaming, checking out NAS files when I'm not at home, and even hosting my own website - as long as I've got the right security in place, of course. Overall, I'm really impressed with the better service they're offering now - it's definitely one of the top choices for internet access in this area. Fingers crossed the quality keeps up when it's time to renew at the end of the year.

Broadband supply issue
I was really looking forward to getting our new broadband all sorted, but they completely let me down. We gave them plenty of notice, but they still couldn't get it sorted in time. So now we're stuck without any broadband for ages! And when we tried to cancel the contract, they said we had to speak to someone else on Monday. It's all just been a massive waste of time, to be honest.
