Ecoal50 Smokeless Coal
This maybe conveniently listed as a best seller but its the worst coal I have ever purchased. The coal burns extremely fast compared with Homefire smokeless and creates a far bigger ash pile. The result of burning through more coal faster is the need to procure more coal, which I am sure the objective is. I am only comparing like-for-like with homefire smokeless coal purchased last year. Convenient that the Ecoal50 is a best seller?

Coal and ligs
After 2 weeks waiting, no delivery, staff had no idea when I would expect the delivery, cancelled the booking, a week on and still no refund!!!!
Ordered same through eBay everything was delivered within 6 days and was cheaper.
The staff I contacted were extremely polite and friendly, but could not tell me anything when to expect the delivery.
Fuel not fit for purpose, dripping wet with water trapped in bags. 14 day no quibble guarantee should be removed from the website..See review below Mr. Terrence Paling same experience. Goods delivered 9 days after order with excuse of the "cold snap". Filled with false expectations of returned calls, delivery dates. Fuel was not fit for purpose. Appalling customer service.
Very poor service, in fact no service! On the ball taking our money and e-mail promised with delivery date which arrived 5 days later confirming order and delivery during next 6 working days. On the 5th day later phone call received to say could not confirm delivery date but would e-mail in due course. I phoned coals2u again the following week to ask for an up date and told again could not give a date but was promised a call by return from delivery department. This came the next day but again no date could be given. We are nearly out of fuel so I cancelled and requested a return of our money. My husband is 91 and if this is the way coals2u do business I think Age Concern should be put in the picture.
£100+ order of Coal
I have never used coals2u before but, placed an order 2nd week in November we are now almost at 1st week of December and no delivery date can be given! They still cannot confirm when I will get the good I paid for over 2.5 weeks ago?! I have written invoice starting delivery is 5 working days yet, some almost 3 weeks later and they are STILL unable to give a date.
My experience of using them has been less than positive- you have to chase them, cannot recommend them at all. Buy elsewhere.
Delivered ecoal instead,so now having to wait until they choose to collect and replace.
Bought coal from petrol station instead.
Order placed 2 weeks ago,no idea when it will arrive.
Don’t care attitude
Received call telling me that my coal won’t be delivered til next week (already been waiting one week). Couldn’t give me a reason why it won’t be delivered this week and certainly couldn’t say which day it will be delivered next week. I am low on coal and did tell the caller this. Pointless. This is not the first time i have had issues with delivery with this company, despite a depot being only around 10 miles from my address. I won’t be using this inefficient and over priced company again. The local staff are excellent, pity about the parent company.
