Healthy bulbs purchase
I just got my order of healthy bulbs from this company and I have to say I'm really happy with them. Even though I've had problems before, I always find that the plants are top quality and well packaged. They even sent me the bulbs I was unsure about, and gave me a refund for them. The mix-up with the Mickey Mouse tulip bulbs was sorted out quickly, and I really appreciate the care they took. All in all, I'd give my experience with this company a 10/10. Keep it up, Secret Gardening Club!
12 plants arrived small
I bought 12 plants at half price, but they are really small, some are just 1 inch tall! They're not ready for planting as the label said. I should've got 6 fully grown plants instead. I tried emailing them, but they didn't reply. I won't be buying from them again. I can't drive, so I have to rely on mail order. If they had shown pictures of the tiny plants, I wouldn't have bought them. I'm so disappointed!
Plants purchase, damaged goods
I bought some plants on sale, but they arrived all battered up. The pots and labels were just chucked at the bottom of the box. I was really surprised when I got an email saying they'd chat with the courier and tell me if the plants will make it. Seriously, is that the best customer service they can offer?
Order not despatched, refund issue, poor communications
My experience with the Secret Gardening Club was really disappointing. I ordered something from them, but it never arrived. When I asked for a refund, they made a mess of it and now they still owe me money. And to top it off, they hardly ever communicated with me, which just made things more frustrating. In my opinion, it's best to steer clear of this company.
Plant purchase
I bought a plant from this company not long ago and had a bit of a bad time. Ordering was quick and easy, and I got lots of emails keeping me in the loop. But when the plant turned up, it was in a sorry state. It had been snapped clean in two, its roots were out of the pot, and there was soil everywhere because it wasn't protected in the box at all. Plus, the label saying "Keep this way up" was on sideways and not up and down like it should have been, making things even worse.
Garden plants
I had a similar service to many others. No plants, emails were replied to but with empty promises. Ultimately no plants and no refund. I eventually got a refund through the chargeback process with my credit card provider.
It is worth noting that the parent company has gone into administration owing hundreds of thousands of pounds to both their local suppliers and to National firms including their courier. It appears Yorkshire lavender has been resurrected with a new same but some of the same directors.
Please don’t give them any businessplants
I have to tack 1 star but actually they deserve 0 stars !!!! This is fraud. Never got any plant, no answers on my emails towards refund.
Garden plants
An excellent budget outlet for garden plants and more. I have been a repeat customer now for 12 months plus and will be entering into my second season of ordering within the next couple of days, adding to the healthy and varied plants already purchased. If ever a plant is unavailable a credit has been issued without issue. Delivery times are perhaps slightly longer than some of the premium outlets but this is overshadowed by Secret Gardens pricing structure. Excellent choice and always a bargain to be had.

Garden plants
I have ordered plants twice. Only half the plants for the first order were delivered, and none for the second order as they said they had supply problems. A refund was offered but, despite e-mails to them, no refund has ever been made. Not recommended at all.

I used to recommend this company but not now. I pre-orderd plants in November and February for delivery in May. I discovered in late May that the plants were not available from the nursery they were using. I had an email telling me this and offering a voucher, make a new order from the available plants on their website or a refund. I asked for a refund. In fact I have asked for a refund in three emails. No refund received so I sent a message via their website and gave all the details. I did not expect a standard reply two days later telling me the same as the original email! I have replied again but I am not holding my breath.
Meanwhile the November order is over the 180 days in which I could claim through PayPal.

Placed several orders with these people including a pre order for May delivery. Not one order arrived complete and the pre order still has not arrived with like many others it seems have not had a response to any emails. Plants that did arrive were of poor quality and some that were sent as 'bare root' were just like dried twigs. Fortunately not a lot of money is involved here but never the less it does leave a bitter taste as i suspect i will not see any refund. Buyer beware as, the saying goes 'if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is' which is certainly the case with these people.

What a difference a year makes. Last year I would have given this company 5 stars easily. Great plants and good prices, speedy delivery and good customer service.
Now I feel pushed at giving 1 star and would prefer to give 0.
Like many other people reviewing I'm having similar problems, order placed in February for a pre-order to be delivered in May not being fullfilled, no response to emails. Excuse emails saying order would be delayed until end of May and then Last week email saying there was a problem with supply chain and offering a gift card. Or a refund if you got to the bottom of the email.
I have requested a refund along with a refund due on an incomplete order also outstanding. Suddenly I see lots of positive reviews being posted over the last few hours and agree with other reviewers that this looks suspicious in itself.
I have once again emailed and this time I have told them I have reported them to their local trading standards office. Can I suggest to people with similar problems that they also report to trading standards. If enough people do this hopefully something will be done.I too was very satisfied with my early orders but this year I only received part of one order and the other, which should have been delivered in May, has still to arrive despite various e-mails . They informed me that they couldn't completely fill my order and asked if I wanted a refund. I said I would have what they could send and a refund for those not available but have heard nothing more except that they could arrive some time in June which is really not acceptable. I have just written again asking for my refund to be returned to my bank
I agree whole heartedly with you - they were a superb company to deal with and excellent plants and service. Sadly, not any more and like you I pre-ordered and paid for plants for May delivery which never arrived.

Completed two separate orders, received one with 5 plants missing, no refund to date. Still awaiting second order. No response to emails, no communication regarding order outstanding or refund also outstanding. Seems to be a common theme with this company. Don’t bother!!

O rider finally arrived but with missing plants .Plants that did arrive were of very poor quality.Emails go unanswered .There are very many similar stories here and on their Facebook page .Think carefully before ordering, there are many more companies out there that supply quality goods and have a reliable customer service.They do not have a customer review service on their website,now I and numerous others know why !
30 9cm pot plants
I placed an order for 30 9 cm ... plants to be delivered in March. The delivery was late and the promised notification of delivery was not forthcoming so they arrived without notice - left on their side outside my door. The box contained only 20 plants [19 of which have done well] but I have spent far too long trying to get a refund for the 10 missing plants. Most contact us messages and emails are ignored and when you do get a reply it has no truth - It seems they just say what you want to hear - and then ignore you again.
Wooden Planters
I ordered & paid for wooden planters, to be delivered February. Still not received & they will not reply to my emails. I have contacted Lavender World (part of Secret Gardeneing Club) & spoke to spomeone who wou;d pass on & get resolved. NOTHING. I have now opened a case with PayPal to hopefully get my money back. Terrible service. I've used the company for plants for years & always had great service. I never even received my Spring plant collection (did get that refunded) & last plant order, some plants were dead & not what I ordered. Will never use them again.
Wooden planters
Rubbish! I paid for wooden planters around Xmas time to be delivered in March. I’ve still not received them. I have written emails & left phone messages but nobody is getting back to me. They have my money - I have nothing!

This company and its parent company are a disgrace! Two orders placed well over a month ago and only one part-order delivered. No refund. Sent X5 emails and no reply. They don't take calls as their phone is constantly engaged. They are a subsidiary company of Yorkshire Lavender who refuse to intervene re the absence of customer service. AVOID!!! Both of these companies are very bad news!

I’m guessing this company which I believe is part of Lavender World and Yorkshire Lavender have become a victim of their own success. I ordered 12 plants at the beginning of March. It wasn’t obvious that this was a pre order which I was informed of when I queried the delay in delivery a few weeks later (This was the only response I received to several emails I sent over the following weeks) My delivery arrived on 7th April but with only 3 plants in the box, and of the 3 only 1 hadn’t been damaged in transit due to bad packaging. Included was a tiny printed note stating that t’aime plants I’d ordered had been of insufficient quality and therefore a refund had been issued. A refund (for the 9 not sent) eventually arrived in my account on 26th April after several emails were sent and absolutely no response received apart from automated replies. I’ve given up on sending emails regarding the damaged plants I received: the company obviously isn’t interested nor does it care about its customer base.
If the company were more transparent and explained honestly the situation, halted taking on more orders when they were obviously already overwhelmed with demand for plants and actually engaged with their customers instead of ignoring emails perhaps although disappointed my experIence may have been tempered with a bit of understanding. As it is the customer service is atrocious and the whole experience has been disappointing and very frustrating. I won’t be ordering again and certainly don’t recommend the Secret Garden club to anyone.
