    Late delivery, decent table

    I was making a cup of tea when the delivery saga kicked off, so not exactly dramatic but annoying. I ordered a coffee table at the end of March and paid straight away. At first their emails looked fine — confirmation and all that. Then nothing from the courier. After a few days I chased them and was told the item was suddenly out of stock. Apparently their warehouse system wasn’t in sync with the shop. They said they’d refund me that day and I should see it in 3–7 days. That didn’t happen. I emailed a few times and used the website messages too, with little reply. In the end I was told to ask my bank for a charge back because they were having payment-processing problems. I did that and eventually the refund came through, and a week later the table actually turned up (bit battered but usable). I’ve been using it since early April and it’s fine — nothing fancy but practical. Customer service was slow and clumsy, and the lack of clear warnings on the site annoyed me. It works now, but the whole experience could’ve been handled a lot better.

    Not coming back after this

    the item itself was fine, but the whole ordering and customer-care shambles means I won’t be ordering from them again. I needed the piece because I’d just moved and my lower back has been killing me after months on a rubbish sofa, so I was keen to replace things quickly. They told me two weeks at the time of order, then at three weeks I chased and was told the stock was in and it would arrive “next week”. That next week never came. Over the following eight weeks I phoned more than once (couldn’t even leave a voicemail once — apparently their inbox was full), and I sent about six emails. Every time the reason changed: “with dispatch”, “out of stock”, “low stock”, “slightly delayed”, “ready to be delivered”… it was the same round in circles and I kept thinking it would just disappear. After nine weeks, the goods finally arrived and fair play to the driver — patient, helpful, well packed and everything was correct. So yeah, product: fine. Communication and dispatch: shockingly bad. Organisation and after-sales need sorting, and for me the stress and time lost outweigh the small positives.

    Little chairs, big bother

    be careful, and maybe don’t rely on that “discount” as a fix. I told a colleague about the ad before ordering; they’re glad they didn’t bother. Any tips on next steps welcome.

    Mixed bag — good refund, poor communication

    they didn’t communicate, and their stock levels didn’t match what the site said at the time of purchase. On the other hand, when I cancelled the order they issued a full refund straight away (which was a bit of a surprise and, to be fair, appreciated). So service after the fact was efficient, just not proactive. A couple of other practical annoyances: there’s no real customer service phone number (the number listed routes to one of their shops, not head office) so you’re stuck with email, which drags things out. Also, I’d expect an ecommerce site to switch items to “out of stock” as soon as the last one sells — that didn’t happen here and it caused unnecessary hassle. My take-away is straightforward: the product pictures looked decent and the prices were fine, but the process was sloppy. I’ve since bought elsewhere. If you’re thinking of ordering, maybe double-check stock by emailing first or be ready to chase them; and they should absolutely get their inventory and communication in order. A decent refund policy doesn’t fully make up for the initial lack of transparency, but at least that bit worked.

    Problematic delivery

    This company is a complete mess when it comes to dealing with problems. Out of the four packages I ordered, one is currently lost in the never-ending struggle between their customer service team and DPD. They haven't been responding to my emails, I've been left on hold for ages when I call, and they just don't seem to get what's going on. DPD is saying it's the company's fault for not giving them a new code, but the staff at the company can't seem to sort it out. It's been two weeks of pure frustration and not knowing what's happening.

    I was really happy with the quality and value of the things I bought from this furniture shop. They were made really well and came in lovely packaging. The only thing that wasn't so great was that they didn't keep me updated on when they were going to be delivered, so they ended up coming on different days.

    I recently bought a lovely oak dining table and chairs from the furniture shop. They really are top-notch, with a solid build and a gorgeous finish.     Bookcase purchase delivered to Annexe

    I was really impressed by the delivery team from this place. They gave exceptional service. They made sure my bookcase was safely delivered. They even called me when they couldn't reach me at the door bell. They were happy to bring the furniture to my Annexe when I asked. I was very happy with the service they gave and think they should be recognised for their hard work. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better delivery experience.     Console table purchase

    I ordered a console table and it arrived quickly and was packaged really well. Setting it up was easy, and now it looks lovely in our living room. The quality was even better than we expected, and we are really pleased with it. What really stood out was when the company called to check that our item had arrived safely and if we were happy with it.     3 items of furniture, 2 man delivery

    I wouldn't recommend using this company at all! I paid in full for three pieces of furniture and also for a 2-man delivery service, but my order never showed up. I tried getting in touch with them many times through phone and email, but they never replied. Luckily, I paid with a credit card that refunded my money and is looking into things. I've also sent them a letter through recorded delivery to take legal action for breaching our contract.

    I popped into a furniture shop the other day with my wife to look for a new dining table and bed for our bedroom. The staff there were so helpful, they helped us find just what we were after.     Chests of drawers purchase

    I bought some chest of drawers from this shop and they arrived quickly and well wrapped, which was great. The oak furniture looks stunning, although I did realise the drawers were a bit shallower than I expected. Maybe I measured wrong though.     Bunk Bed

    Oh my goodness, I purchased a bunk bed from this place and now they have gone bankrupt and won't refund us! It's so annoying, why are they still open for business if they can't give everyone their money back? Such a scam! The bed may have been cheap but it's definitely not worth the hassle of dealing with these dodgy individuals.

    Purchase - Discontinued stock issue

    I had the worst time with a furniture company recently. I ordered two items online, costing £275, and was told they were in stock. But they said it would take up to 12 days for delivery, which did not happen. When I called on May 7th to ask about the delivery date, they said the items were out for delivery that day without even telling me beforehand. After a lot of broken promises, they finally said on May 8th that the items were discontinued and wouldn't be coming. I asked for a refund straight away, and they said it would take 3-10 days. But it's now May 10th and nothing has come through. To top it off, the company website is down with a message saying they will open soon. I've tried calling many times, but I'm stuck on hold forever. My hope of getting a refund for something I never got is fading fast. I wish I had used a credit card, as it looks like I might never get my money back.

    Black bedroom furniture

    I recently bought some black bedroom furniture from this company, but when it arrived, I found out it was actually blue! On top of that, one of the bedside tables wasn't even there. So, I gave them a call straightaway to let them know my disappointment. After a two-week hassle, they eventually agreed to pick up the items. They said they'd refund me once they checked the furniture. But just two days later, I got the awful news that they wouldn't refund me after all because of financial problems and impending administration. Now I'm £2000 down and struggling to get my money back through my bank. It's worrying that they're still trading despite their money issues.

    Dining table purchase

    I bought a dining table that was really nice, but then I saw a mark on it. I asked for a replacement, but they refused because of some liquid damage. Can you believe it? Such a disappointment, mate. It's just not fair.
