Not as advertised lights
They were complete liars! The lights I got were cheap plastic and nothing like what they showed on their website. They look like they came from a joke shop. I tried to contact them several times but nobody ever answers the phone. When I finally heard back from them by email, they made me pay to send the lights back and then took even more money for a made-up 'restocking' fee. It's a complete scam!
Wall lights purchase
The wall lights I bought from this shop were absolutely terrible quality. I spent a decent amount of money on them, but they were so badly made that they just couldn't be used. I really wouldn't recommend getting anything from this store. Plus, the delivery took ages - a whole 4 weeks - and then I found out that the seller isn't even in the UK. All in all, it was a really bad experience that I think you should steer clear of.
Bathroom lights purchase
I had a pretty rubbish experience ordering a couple of bathroom lights from Lightzey. It took a whole 3 weeks for the lights to show up, and to top it off, they were sent all the way from China! I was expecting them to come from a warehouse in Germany. The quality of the lights was shocking, definitely not worth the €180 I shelled out. I'd say they're only really worth about €30 at the most. I was really disappointed with the whole thing and wouldn't advise anyone to shop there.
Online order for lights
I'm really let down by my experience at Lightzey. I ordered some lights online, got confirmation, but the parcel never showed up. I tried contacting customer service multiple times but heard nothing back. It's obvious that this website isn't trustworthy, so I'd recommend avoiding buying anything from them.
Melts pendant (Red / Gold)
I was really looking forward to getting my hands on this pendant in Red and Gold, but when it finally arrived, it was completely plastic! It didn't resemble the picture in the slightest. I was really let down as I was expecting an awesome pendant, only to end up with a solid gold. Definitely recommend checking twice before making a purchase, as returning it was a real hassle!
Wall light return
I recently purchased a wall light from this company but ended up not needing it anymore. When I decided to return it, they charged me for the return shipping and also added a restocking fee, which was a bit irritating but I accepted it. However, I was surprised and very disappointed to find out that they only refunded me 50% of the original price of the product. This happened even though I had returned it in perfect, unused condition. It's really unfair and feels like a scam, so I would advise against buying from them.
Online purchase experience
I was really disappointed with this online retailer recently. The website said it was based in the UK, but when my goods arrived, it was obvious they had come all the way from China. I was worried when I found out the UK address they gave was just a "mailbox hire" shop, I even checked on Google Street view to be sure. The whole process of trying to send the items back was so annoying - they wanted me to take pictures of what was in the box before I could even send it back. And the return address they gave me wasn't a UK warehouse like they said, it was actually someone's house in Sheffield, I double-checked on Google Street view. Even though the company promised me a refund once they got the goods back, they haven't been answering my messages, even though I can show them proof the items were delivered over a week ago.
Faulty light fixture
I bought a light fitting from this company, but it ended up being faulty and not meeting UK safety standards. I tried to return it, but they gave me a hard time. I had to get my credit card company involved to finally get a refund.
Unreceived parcel
I'm really disappointed with the service I got from this company. They never delivered my parcel, and I've sent several emails and reminders but still haven't heard back in almost 2 months. I've lost £900 in this deal and I really think others should steer clear of this company. It's obvious they're not reliable and you can't trust them.
LED lights for the entire house
I recently bought LED lights for my whole house from Lightzey as a customer. Despite some negative reviews, I am really happy with my purchase. The lights did come from China, but that's pretty normal these days with the global market. The quality of the lights is great and they match the website description perfectly. They don't feel cheap or poorly made at all, and they've really enhanced the atmosphere in my home. All in all, I'm really pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend Lightzey to anyone in need of quality lighting solutions.
LED pendant light
I was really let down by the LED pendant light I bought from this company recently. I didn't realise it was being sent from abroad, so it took ages to arrive and when it did, it was all scratched up. I got in touch with customer service about it and they first offered me a 20% discount, but I said no because the light was too damaged to fix. Now I'm arguing with them because they want a picture of the light in the bin before they give me a refund. It's been a real pain and I'd recommend avoiding this company to others.
LED Lighting Purchase
I bought some LED lights from this company recently, and I have to say I'm really disappointed with the quality of them. Even though they arrived quite quickly, the lights themselves are just poor quality Chinese junk. What's worse is that three out of the four lights I got don't even have the proper CE certification. Ever since I put them up, my house has been having electrical problems, with the circuit breaker tripping all the time, even when nothing is on. Trying to send them back has been a total nightmare, and it looks like I'm stuck with this low-quality stuff.
Ceiling light purchase
I bought a ceiling light from this company and the service I got was really disappointing. I waited for two weeks and still hadn't got my order, so I got in touch to ask what was going on. Turns out, the factory wasn't even open for making the lights, and it would be a few more weeks before I could expect to get my product. Nobody let me know what was happening or gave me any updates, and the apology I got just didn't cut it.
Damaged product
I had a bit of a bad time with the stuff I got from this company. It was a shame because the things were already broken when they arrived, and all they offered me was some money off rather than sorting it out properly with a replacement. It was a real surprise to hear that I couldn't send back the items, so I was stuck with them. And then they told me I had to get rid of the broken stuff myself, which was a pain because it was pretty big. I'm not happy at all with how they treated me and the bother they caused.
Lighting fixture
As a well-informed and reliable customer, I have to say that I am quite disappointed with my experience with this company. Back in February, I bought a lighting fixture, but it got held up in customs and never got to me. Despite this, they didn't want to give me a refund and instead promised to send me a new one. However, that replacement never showed up, and now they're not even responding to my emails. It's obvious to me that they're not just bad at what they do, but they're also not very honest in how they handle things. I'm currently taking action to get my money back through PayPal and I'm warning others to steer clear of this company at all costs.
Online purchase experience
I'm really disappointed with the company I dealt with recently. The product I got was nothing like what was described and it took forever to arrive. When I contacted customer service about it, all they gave me were generic replies and weird refund options. When there's an obvious problem with a product, the return and refund should be simple, but that wasn't the case here. The company's lack of professionalism and bad communication really worried me.
Faulty product received
Well, first off, don't let the company name fool you because they're not even in the UK. I bought something from them and I was gutted when it turned out to be faulty. When I tried to send it back, they had the cheek to only give me a 10% discount to keep it. Obviously, I said no and now they're giving me the silent treatment. I had to get PayPal involved to sort this mess out. I can't help but feel totally tricked by this company.
Two large lights purchased
I recently bought two big lights from this company and it was a nightmare. I spent about £300 on the lights, only to find out later that they weren't actually in stock at their UK address but were coming all the way from China. This meant a long wait for shipping, and then to make things worse, the courier company said they delivered the lights but we never got them. The customer service team at Lightzey wouldn't admit fault for the missing items, which was really annoying. After trying many times to sort it out with them, I had to get the courier company to say the parcel was lost so I could get a refund. Dealing with Lightzey was a real headache, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Outdoor light
I ordered an outdoor light from this website, but when it arrived after 4 weeks, it was the wrong colour! I tried emailing them to sort it out, but it was just back and forth with no solution. They wanted me to pay a handling fee of 20%, which I argued against because it was their mistake, not mine. Eventually, they agreed to give me a full refund, but I had to pay for the postage to send it back. I sent the proof of receipt as requested, but I have only received £111 back. I've tried emailing them, but no response. This is a terrible site, do not order from them!
Light
I was really looking forward to getting this light I ordered, but it took a whole two weeks to arrive, can you believe it? I thought the company was based in the UK, but turns out the light actually came from China! And honestly, it's not even that amazing. We spent quite a bit on it, but it's just not up to scratch. I'm really let down if I'm honest.
